Hi all

I took my 5500 trainer device to add more memory. I accidentally took the flash card and now have a dead printer.  How can I restore the firmware?

Advice please

Thank you

Most OEM computers have a partition on the hard drive, that allows to give it bought as provided.  Usually, you activate this feature by pressing a key or combination of keys when the first splash screen appears at startup.  Look quickly at the first screen that appears, and you could see the key that you press.  Otherwise, go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the manual for your computer.  Instructions must be there.

    Hi Isakale,

I understand that you're having trouble for OS X installed and restored from your Time Machine backup. In a situation where you work with a configuration of non standard volume for your OS X installation, you can consider installing OS X of the recovery of the Internet, the upgrade to the desired version of Mac OS X via the App Store, then your Time Machine data migration using the Migration Wizard, rather than recovery.

Migration Wizard copies all your files to your new Mac so that you do not have to the do it manually. If your files are currently on a Windows PC, follow the steps in the migration of the PC instead. If your new Mac uses OS X Mountain Lion or earlier, follow the steps of Mountain Lion instead.

Recent Macs include the ability to run directly from a Web OS X Recovery version. Your Mac will automatically use this feature when the recovery on the startup disk system is not available. For example, if your boot drive is a problem, or if your boot drive has been replaced or deleted. Recovery of the Internet allows you to start your Mac directly from Apple servers. This system starts running a quick test of your memory and the hard disk to check for hardware problems.

Recovery of the Internet initially asking you to select a Wi - Fi network and enter a password for the network if necessary. Then Internet recovery downloads and starts from a system recovery image. From there on, offers the same options and utilities like system recovery on a startup disk.

Some Mac shipped with OS X Snow Leopard can use Internet after installation of OS X Lion or later and a software update.

If you want to reinstall the version of Mac OS X included with your Mac, store the command-Option-R at the start instead. This starts your Mac recovery of the Internet.

    Hello Anshul230499,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If a download was interrupted in the Mac App Store, then whenever you have new Internet download should then restart.

If a download application is interrupted

Once an Internet connection is restored, your purchased downloads should restart automatically. The Mac App Store may warn you that there is a problem with the download and ask if you want to restart downloads. Confirming will restart all pending downloads.

Download time may vary according to the size of the file and the speed of your Internet connection. See this article on purchases made on iTunes Store for more information on the time to download large files.

Your message was clearly not your comments to Microsoft Answers web site, so I moved it on the Feedback forum to "Install, upgrade and activate" windows forum.  Please return to your message, click the button change under it, change the menu Windows Version dropdown to indicate which version of Windows you are using, and then click on submit.  People can help better if they do not have to guess your version of Windows.

Your best bet is to reinstall WIndows from scratch using the original Windows installation kit or factory restore disks supplied with the PC when your purchased people.  If she did come with a restore or the Windows installation disk drive, it came with a partition on the hard drive and the software to allow you to create the restore disks yourself.  Which will ensure that none of their remains.

If you want to share data or peripherals between two PCs, you will need a LAN.  If you have internet access, then you already have a local area network.  Your ADSL access may or may not have a router provided with the equipment to access, but if it isn't you can easily add a.  The Knowledgebase Microsoft have some tutorials that describe how to configure a network home.

  • restore from backup image

    I have an Acer Aspire E1-571-6856, Windows 7 64 - bit, 4 GB RAM, 2.6 ghz core i5, 4000 hd graphics card

I have created a backup of the image using Acer Backup Manager.

There is no option to restore from Acer although backup recovery image.

How can I restore backup images?

I don't think that you can load your restore with Acer erecovery media point, since normally is used to re - install from scratch the BONE.

You must create your own media recovery with the same software that you created in the backup image, which will no doubt help to load the backup image.

  • How it delete and start from scratch?

All I want to do is clear on my computer and restart from scratch. I have all my records, but he said not how to this in the instruction manuals... only includes restoration at some point and I don't want to restore. How it delete and start from scratch? I've saved my files to an external hard drive.

If you are sure you want to do this - and it of a radical step, is generally not necessary - you potentially have two choices.

In addition to your data, make sure that you have saved the downloaded installation files and their activation keys, as appropriate.

Some computers manufactured by large OEMs have a hidden partition to "restore" that will allow you to restore the computer to its "fresh from the factory" State.  Alternatively, the manufacturer may have provided a 'recovery' or 'restore' CD/DVD which will accomplish the same thing.  One of the important side effects: test facilities of things like antivirus applications will install but not triggered because the trial period had been used.  You must uninstall these completely (using the "removal tool" provided by a / v manufacturer) before installing a real a / v application.

On the other hand, you can have a genuine Windows XP install CD, although these are rare.  If that's what you have, you want to do what is called a "clean install".  Don't forget to install your device drivers after the Windows Installer is finished (card mother/chipset, network card, sound card, video card, etc.).

    http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html
    http://www.theeldergeek.com/xp_pro_install_-_graphic.htm

In both cases, after Windows has been installed, the first thing we do is go to Windows Update and install all critical updates.  Then you can install all the applications you have installed after you purchased the computer.  They must be installed from the original media (a downloaded Setup program that you have registered or a CD/DVD).  If none of these applications are Microsoft applications, return to Microsoft Update and get updates critical for these applications.

  • Restore from a backup of Windows Image

Hello. My laptop crashed due to a hard drive failure. I bought a new HD that I want to re - ask a Windows Image backup. But I don't have a Windows 7 bootable recovery CD because the OS came preinstalled on the computer when I bought it. (I remember to create a recovery disk, but I can't find). However, I recently bought a new computer with Windows 10. Is it possible to create a bootable recovery disk Windows 10 in order to restore my old Windows 7 OS on the new HD in my old computer? If so, what is the procedure?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Robert,

Restore points - I found them little reliable so I stopped using them.

    • I trust instead of images of the system [I partitioned single HARD drive of my laptop in 2 drives with the OS & apps on all my own files on another - it makes system one image breaks as they take less than half an hour to make and at the same time restore].
    • Restore points disappear over time to make room for new ones to make.
    • Nothing can create a subsequent restore point - point restoration, you saw after that install the new update agent was probably made at the beginning of its installation so using this restore point could have set up your computer to the State it was in before to install the new update agent.
    • Restore failed, I don't know what state the computer is now so I think that you need to install the new update agent once again.
    • I think that restore points are supposed to not do anything if they cannot complete successfully, but I don't know if this is what is happening in practice.

Installation of the new update agent -

I think you need to install it once more to make sure that all its components are installed correctly.

The disappearance of the red shield looks like progress [but I am still concerned that the restore attempt point can or could not have].

    Factory restore -

Where you see references to Restoring factory that has nothing to do with the restore points or WU - "there's still a State factory 2010 option.

    • All computer manufacturers who provide computers with Windows preinstalled must provide a way to reinstall Windows.  Some achieve this goal by providing a reinstallation DVD while others do so by creating a factory restore on the HARD disk that is used partition to reinstall the entire computer from scratch - it reinstalls Windows as it was when you bought the computer but they can omit some of their own utilities to the restore factory image [, so it can be disappointing].
    • A factory restore partition is, indeed, a recessed installation disc.  So it you would set to 2010 and you need to reinstall all your applications.  I think you'd be worse off are you now to the extent where updates to go [you would reach a State before SP1 you might even think of the rollup update].
    • The factory restore partition is almost always on a non-Windows partition [a portion of the drive that Windows doesn't know anything about] If chkdsk would not reveal any useful information.
    • If, but I do not recommend, you wanted to restore factory , then you must follow the procedure in the manual of the computer & on the website of the manufacturer of the computer.

    Corrupt applications -

    • You may have to reinstall these in light of what you have already written.
    • As seems inevitable, installing Windows 10 becomes a possible alternative - if you can solve the current problems without having to reinstall applications and then install Windows 10 seems to me too much extra work.

The Mute light & hardware drivers -

This could be a problem with a hardware driver or utility of the machine to a computer.

    • Control of such things as lights Mute tends to be through drivers installed by the manufacturer of the computer so reinstall those who could solve this problem.
    • I expect to find the right driver on the website of the manufacturer of the computer, but, being a non-standard element, I'm only guessing when I suggested that it might be the keyboard driver.
    • On Dell such light would probably be a Dell QuickSet utility function, rather than a keyboard driver, which may also be the case with other computers.
    • If you have installed Windows 10, you would have to do a general review and search for hardware drivers, even if most of them will be detected by & installed by the installation process itself or the original WU that you then run.

    Good luck

    Denis

I have Windows 7 Edition home premium installed 32-bit update. How can I upgrade to 64-bit? Will there be problems of validation so I re-install from scratch?

If you have purchased a retail package, it should include the disk for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Otherwise, you can download a backup copy at the following link and use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version. Its a possibility, you may need to reactivate by phone, see below for instructions:

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 from scratch on Area 51 ALX

    Hi again all,

So, I just bought a new area 51 R2 (not upwards and turns yet, but I'll be sure to change my signature to the new machine in due course!) and need to restore my machine with a fresh install of W7 before I sell it on.

My machine was purchased as a refurb almost new that I got from the selling company to install W7 to before they shipped it. I don't have a recovery partition or DVD (although even if I did, they would put Vista on), so I need to start from scratch. I have a W7 ISO and obviously valid an OEM key. This works because I had to do an excessive installation of W7 a few weeks ago that things started to go wrong.

I remember correctly see the instructions here on how to re - install from scratch, who went into the details on how to add drivers and in what order, but I can't seem to find it.

Can someone point my in the right direction? Thank you! :)

    1. Yes, you can do this

2 Controlfile script is standard... link doc oracle: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_5003.htm

    3. prepare with the location of the data files and of redologs online then create it.

Note - If you have placed the name of the different database, then, it will check with datafile and it give error (if you need correct the name of the database)

As you have not indicated whether or not the last stop of database is compatible (we assume that there are his uniform and mandatory ORL and archives)
