LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M27: LAN error 79 LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw

Hello. I read all related messages in the error 79 in strawberry forum that nothing works.

I've updated the latest possible firmware. There is no print job in the queue. The power supply cable is directly connected to industrial food, no UPS...

It worked fine when I installed the printer a couple of weeks or if there is, but now, at the time the printer is on bike starts: 79 - restart - error 79 - error reboot and so on and on.

It seems related to the connection to the local network. If the printer is in wireless mode all works perfectly.

Any ideas? Thank you

Hi @Rand_xi,

I read your post and see that you have found a 79 error when using the Ethernet connection. I'd love to help you.

If you manually set the IP Address of the printer, make sure that it is outside the range of your router's DHCP. I saw this to fix this on another post, I've had before.

If you're still having problems, restore the default settings of the printer, and use the automatic IP address that is assigned to the printer to see if that helps.

Try disabling IPV6 on the printer to see if it makes a difference.  Go to settings, network configuration, network, IPv6 Services and turn it off.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the button below the thumbs up.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • LaserJet 3700n: LAN ERROR - LOSS OF CARRIER

My laserjet3700n color has worked perfectly for years. Now, it is no longer present on my network, or I get an error indicating that the printer is not connected. Time before, I saw an error on the screen that says error of communication Board. Now when I print a configuration card it says card not ready i/o. LAN ERROR - LOSS OF THE CARRIER.

Is a communication card this would need to be replaced? It is better to repair or should I consider getting a new color laserjet?

    Any help would be appreciated.

You can test the printer?  Is not only 2 things to check.  Go first to a speedy back on the computer and type ipconfig.  It will give the ip address of the computer.  The address will be something like 192.168.1.6, your numbers will be different, but be sure that the first 3 sets of your address numbers are the same as the first 3 sets of numbers in the ip address of printers.  If not, then most likely you did not do the cold reset correctly and try again to get a good IP address of the printer.  If you cannot ping the printer find out where the ethernet cable connects both ends and make sure you link is turned on.  Submit a report.

  • HP 200 MFP M276nw not seen in the network after changing router

Printer: LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

LAN: both PC (Windows 7) and the printer connected to the router.  Other devices connect wirelessly.  Internet service is cable.

I installed this printer when a router Linksys E2500 was in use.  The configuration of the network after the installation of the printer:

    IPv4 address: 192.168.1.120

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Configured by IP: DHCP

I replaced the router Linksys with a Netgear WNDR4500 router (N900) a month ago.  Everything worked fine for about two weeks.  All of a sudden, jobs sent to the printer began to take a long time to start to print until they stopped printing altogether.  The printer does not appear as a device plugged (cable) in the interface of the router on the Web.  Not even the HP Print or HP Print software and the Scan doctor could find a printer is connected.

I have unisntalled and reinstall the printer, but did not succeed until I changed the Ethernet cable connecting the printer to the router.  The difference is that the old cable Cat5e and replacement a Cat6?  It's printing and scanning now but the printer is still absent as a wired device, and I fear that it will stop working once more.

I noticed that the network configuration of the printer after reinstalling is:

    IPv4 address: 169.254.230.140

    Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

    Default gateway: 169.254.230.140

    Configured by IP: AUTOIP

Research on the Web, I found an article saying that AUTOIP could be a sign of problems of router or a cable.  My suspicion is that the IP address of the printer is constantly changing and this is the reason for the delay of printing.

My questions to the experts are: I could assign an IP address to the printer manually so I can add it in the router - it provides to this effect- and how this is done?   In the Toolbox of device HP under the IPv4 Configuration, there is a dropdown menu with different options - DHCP, BOOTP, AUTOIP, and manual, but I don't know if the changes are made here or if it's a more complex undertaking.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Miguel remainder

I solved the problem, the same day I posted the request for help.

I've closed everything down - including the cable modem and router - but left the printer.  Go to the printer control panel and changed is manual configuration IPv4 of AutoIP toe.  I had already selected an IP starting with 192, since I read that starting with 169 IP addresses are associated parameters AutoIP.  From there on, the printer has presented a valid subnet mask addresses, I took one, and a default gateway address.  Then I stopped the printer.

I turned on the modem, router, pc and printer.  The router then showed the printer as a device connected with his newly assigned IP address.

I figured that the cable was not a problem here, so I put the Ethernet Cat5e cable.  What baffles me, is why the printer changed to AutoIP because it was not made by any user.  Check the reports printed during the first installation of the printer, I see that the method of IP in DHCP address.  After putting in the new router, changes were to name SSID and password in wireless devices and found the firmware of the router.

It was learning by trial as I'm not a computer expert, but so far, we print and scan documents.

Thanks to all who took the time to read the post and offered help.

  • HP MFP M276nw: y at - it a driver of the HP MFP M276nw sierra

    Hi @LJA53,

Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I noticed your post that you can not scan with your printer HP Laserjet MFP M276nw on Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. I am pleased to see that for you!

According to the website Software and Driver Downloads , I see not all the drivers for this printer for Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. Have you tried using Apple Image Capture for scanning or the HP Easy Scan software?

If none of these work programmes, all we can do is wait for the software and drivers to be released, or plan to use Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan until the software drivers come out.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw no network connection with Linksys HUB

    Hello

I install my Color LaserJet Pro 200 m276nw MFP to connect to my home network using a wired connection.

When directly connected to my router, the connection initializes and successfully receives an ip address. I was able to access all the functions connected to my router directly either wired or wireless network.

I also have an old Linksys hub and when the printer is connected to the hub, it does not initialize the network connection. The hub works with all the other sevice in my network, including a few game consoles and a Mac Mini.

Is there a network advance setting that I have to look?

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't know if an IP address conflict is my problem as it is not a problem with another device on the network. But it is certainly a kind of incompatibility.

I found a work around. I have an old LInksys WRT54GS router, I was about to sell and read that I could turn in a switch with a custom firmware, DD - WRT. After you have installed the custom firmware and following some instructions to configure in a switch (including setting a fixed IP address as you suggested), the router-turned-switch worked like a charm.

So, it is definitely an incompatibilities with the Linksys Hub EFAH05W. Maybe this printer don't like hubs. I read the hubs do not succeed as a router or a switch network traffic only.

  • Are total prints Page current cumulative use? HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

I have a HP LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw MFP color

Are total impressions on the Page report cumulative use for the life of the machine?

I want to print a Page 'use' every month, because I want to know the total number of impressions (impressions & copies) I print every month, or between two dates for that matter.  This will also help me to know the number of impressions I get from my ink, etc.

If the 'Total' Impressions is cumulative, then I can just subtract two numbers - one of the last - to get the difference.  But if this isn't the case, then I have no precise information.

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

Yes, the total number of impressions is cumulative over the life of the product.

When I updated to the latest HP driver from the HP Support/drivers page, my MFP stopped scan from either a wireless network or directly connected setting.  It seems that if I scan the bed itself, I can scan when the print/scanning felt connected to my Mac, but the real problem is the document feeder.

I also updated all THE updates Apple, including the HP Easy Scan application.

When using the document feeder, the process initiated as it should... the first page scans, but does not appear in the HP scanning software... then 10 minutes later, the second page scan (same not result... no picture)... can I get a document could not load the error or something.  When this happens... I can't try to scan anything more until I have restart the MAC and printer.

    Hi @epbarnett70,

I got a few comments on this issue. Please download and install the HP Easy Scan application to see if it will allow you to scan from the ADF. Use the app for Easy Scan HP.

  • Color LaserJet pro 200 M276nw: color LaserJet pro 200 MFP M276nw network installation problems

Set up the printer correctly. Has chosen to use the Wifi option. Wireless computers are able to print to it without problem. Went do my first scan, and it tells me to set up printing to the network drive. So I will do this, and the software HP on the host computer (with USB connection) told me that it can configure not unless that is the printer is connected to a network.

Obviouslly, it is connected to a network...

Then disabled Wifi. Is turned off the printer. It connected to the router. Running. And still get the error message. Besides, cannot be found in the menu of the printer (on printer) where I can "setup" a wired connection.

I'm a nerd of the computer, but for some reason i gots the mute today. Some advice would be appreciated - about the printer that is.

Oh. You say to add the printer a network rather than USB printer. DOH. So simple. Thank you!!!

  • HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw - Duplex / legal

Can someone tell me how I can print duplex?  Once the computer prints the pages, he invites me to turn the paper.  However, I don't see a place for hand feeding as my old HP printer.

So, how do I print legal?

    Thank you!

Here are some great questions.  The laserjet M276nw doesn't have a manual feed slot.  It is necessary to remove the tray paper out and replace the printer page in the status bar to print on the other side for duplex printing.

Information for this lie in the printer manual, located here.  Take a look at pages 25 and 26.

Take a look at the picture below to get a better idea of the use of legal size paper in the paper tray.

  • LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw PC with BSOD crashes

Printer connected to Windows 7 64-bit PC via a USB cable.  As soon as the last leaves page the printer after printing the PC hangs on a blue screen with corresponding memory dump.  Printer is new purchase and I was reluctant to go for a printer processing class from the off, but it was at a price (with cash) that I just couldn't ignore with more features that I even wanted to.  Something has to give, and in this case, it seems that it is the software of printer driver? (Semi-supposition). This is obviously a problem that needs to be resolved immediately that I'm strongly tempted to return to the store for a full refund and put it in reverse (dare I say here... an OKI machine?).  Another reason that I bought the thing was my first laser a Laserjet III who served me perfectly for 20 years!  But then even HP is only quality far then and it cost about £2 500!  Restore this confidence in HP products and support to let me know a solution simple and quick as soon as possible because I really want to take it back... and I hate to leave negative comments!  Thanks in advance!

    Hello

If the printer is connected to a USB 3.0 on your computer, try to connect to a USB 2.0 port and check for the difference.

So try following the directions below and check if this can help:
