  Since you've been through all the troubleshooting already, and it is still not working properly, I guess it's a hardware problem.

  If you are able to order the part and install it, it is perhaps the best course of action at this stage.

  I suggest to contact our Support HP, even if the printer is out of warranty to see if you have additional options. Simply fill out the model number and the form to receive a file number for faster assistance.

• MFP HP Laserjet Pro M476dw: M476dw Scan to folder slow network

  We just bought a HP Laserjet Pro M476dw to replace our Epson and Samsung printers.

  Our Epson has been used for scanning, which, as a paperless office, we have volume when you scan incoming documents in our files.

  We have implemented the Scan option network folder, however, when scanning from the printer itself in a folder on our server network, it takes 2-3 minutes before you start to scan.

  When it the scan, it flies through without problem, but the 2-3 minute wait after pressing the button is to eat in our day.

  If we scan 20 bits of incoming post, it takes an hour more didn't wait for the scanner to start.

  What causes this and what can do us to speed things up.

  In aid of the scan to PC function is not an option, because it would involve running and up the stairs to load the scanner and then back down to reuse the PC interface, front of running back.

  Apart from the fitness regime that would implement for our employees, it would add another hour to the day...

  Same issue here with another device (M277dw + NAS QNAP)... However, the delay appeared after being idle under voltage and longer than the printer.

  I suspect a problem with the resolution of names, or authentication.

  So I tried to set up a WINS server, but it did not help.

  Then, I changed the business case to use the IP address of the server instead of the name (\\server\public--> \\192.168.0.100\public). Looks like that did the trick (but not 100% sure yet).

  Make sure you power cycle the printer after making any changes to the configuration.

  Recently, I bought a LaserJet M1136 MFP printer. Printing works fine. However, the quality of scan is very poor. In particular the written document scanning gives VERY VERY bad results in quality. This product comes with ReadIrIs product for scanning.

  However the native scan and ReadiRiS does any good in terms of improving the quality of scanning.

  I tried scanning documents with the recommended 300 dpi. Also, I used only B & W and grayscale for the tests.

  Appreciate if you have any solution to improve that.

  Question - on the copier TopShot, how copy you a piece of paper that has been folded or crumpled and not flat?   It will not be flat and cannot be flattened as he could with my old printer where you put on the glass and place the top cover.  Is it possible to make a clean copy and clear with this printer when you have folded or crumpled paper?  Maybe they should have given us something to put on it to flatten the paper?   All the solutions to this?  Thank you!

  There is no way to flatten out it, if you do not have a glass cover.

  I see by your post you need to scan files in tiff format. I would like to help.

  Through the HP software, that it only supports JPEG, PDF, PNG format. How Scan: Windows 8

  You will need to use a third party software or scanning software to convert the scans in Tiff format. If you search online, you will probably find a compatible.

• LaserJet Pro M127fw MFP: Scanned to pdf but document converted to bmp

  My scanner gives me the ability to scan in pdf; However, when I save the document, it displays the pdf icon, but Acrobot Reader cannot open it because it is saved as a bmp.  I have reinstalled the printer, paid $89.99 (annual) for the Pack of PDF Adobe - tried all the fixes under Solutions HP, etc, nothing has changed.  All settings appear to be correct.  I have a second all-in-one HP Office Jet Pro 8600 and it does the same thing: that's why I suspected a problem with Adobe, but this installation (supposedly) out ok too.

  Thanks for your reply.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat - thinking that could be the problem.  Let's see if a fix is available.

  I have a HP printer/scanner/fax multifunction, and after updating my Mac OS X Sierra, the "HP Scan" app does not allow me to save my scans more. Printing seems to work very well. Scanning occurs, but when it comes to saving what I scanned, 'save' button is grayed. I have read elsewhere on the forum than what has happened to other people using ordinary scanners (not multifunction units), but the software offered for regular scanners would not apply to my device.

  Scanning pages multuple to separate files of the feeder can do with your device.

  Open the HP software under start > all App > HP > folder for your printer model.

  You can simply select Save in JPEG, the result will be a separate file for each page.

  In addition, you can select Save in PDF, click on more, and go to the Destination tab.

  Click on the drop-file Type and check the "Page" for each scanned page, then press OK and press the Scan button,

  As in, is it possible that confidential info of the analyses could be recovered by the unit once it has been sold, recycled, etc.?  I wouldn't see my Bank and that operations that no info there...

  I guess it's not as simple as pushing "get it back" in a menu, but someone with a material and ill intentions would be able to sort?

  If it is possible, how do I clear it?

  I want to help you be able to scan more then one page at a time.

  After selecting the Scan button, you should have an option in the lower left corner of the window to select Add/remove pages.

  Here is a picture.

  

  You will want to check the 'create a separate file for each scanned page' in the Advanced section to scan a multi-page document in a file.

  Basically, I bought that Super-imprimante and I now trying to scan to my mobile devices.

  I have an iPad 2 iOS 7 on 2 Android devices (small tablet and phone) both running Kitkat 4.4.2

  Unfortunately, what is happening:

  -From my iPad, the app AiO says that my printer is not compatible with the application!

  -From my 2 Android devices, the application of all-in-one remote works perfectly, except the scan function as nothing happens (well, when pressing the button 'Preview' or 'Analysis' in the Scan section, I see a button 'Cancel' for 0.1 second and I'm back to this section of the analysis)

  The only other way that a page could fail is if there was some kind of a software problem on the receiving machine.  Maybe the app got busy and the page became corrupted which forced them to remove the final document.

  Try scanning from a 3rd party application like MS Paint, Word or MS Fax and Scan scanning Wizard.  See if any of these applications of scanning no HP have better success.  If they do then you can have isolated it down to a problem of software with your installation and must try to reinstall with the last complete http://support.hp.comSoftware Solution.
