    Hi Joy,.

Let us work together to solve this problem.

During the installation of Windows Vista SP1, this problem occurs when a third-party application holds open a file or locks a file that the Service Pack installer should use. For example, an application third-party antivirus or antispyware may cause this problem. I suggest you temporarily uninstall any antivirus software and check if you are able to install the service pack. Please do not forget to reactivate once the process is complete.

Method 1: Alternatively, you can reset Windows Update components.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

Method 2: I ask that you download and run the system update readiness tool and check if you are able to install the service pack.

  • Sansa Firmware Updater fails to install every time...

I have had my Sansa View for about 2 months now. I have never been able to install the Sansa firmware update. It seems to go through all the steps, then suddenly steps back on the "download the latest Sansa Updater" and says that failed (once just a second before this step was completed successfully). It seems to with success download it, install it, then save, then he can make another step or it may fail on the registration... I can't. All the steps after downloading disappear and now it says that the step does not and gives me the error message "Installation failed. Please try again later. "I think 2 months is much later...

I am running Windows XP SP3 32-bit. The windows firewall is disabled and I use COMODO Internet Security and I use Avira Antivirus. I tried to disable the firewall and the antivirus just to see if they are the cause of the problem, but it has no effect on the results of the installation. In addition, COMODO logs do not show any activity blocked the Installer (or whatever it is blocked at all today). My account is an administrator account.

Now, I think it should be noted that I don't need an update of the firmware. My player integrates the latest version from the website. What I really want is to convert my videos so that I can use them on the player. Unfortanetly there is no way to install the Sansa Media Converter without installing the Firmware Updater (ahh... how many times I tried wasn't the case... but alas...).

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

SOLUTION: I found a thread on the forum of Sansa View that describes the required parameters for the conversion of the video correctly to play on my device. (Here: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=view&thread.id=3300) Given that I don't need to update my firmware (and lets hope I don't) it is a perfect solution for me (especially considering the horrible things I've heard of the SCM).

A more permanent solution may require the Office relocation/repair a Note (which would require the original as well as the product key media).

The current solution for the updates Office fail with 646 is to download and install the same manually.

Last updated on Windows 7 cause "Crash Dump" on my computer. Watch journal update KB2264107 and KB2454826 will not settle. I do a system restore to get back. I tried the "auto update" three times.

KB2454826 was fired shortly after its initial release, January 11, 2011. Revised (for example, fixed) versions of KB2454826 have been re-published February 8, 2011.

NB: KB2454826 is an update Important/recommended, it's always an option, not the security update (from this edition). That being said, we now know that KB2454826 is a prerequisite for the update for IE9. As it will probably be a prerequisite update for SP1 of Win7, too, you probably don't want to hide.

KB2264107 is an option, not the security update. Feel free to hide it.

  • Last update of Windows XP and SVCHOST. EXE problems?

Hello. My PC runs XP SP3 (HP Media Center) 3G of ram. It worked very well lately without any problem whatsoever. This morning I started as usual. I noticed the familiar Microsoft Update 'yellow shield' in the lower right of the task bar. I flew over the mouse over it and it read "download updates 0%. He never got above zero (or I couldn't open Update window). I pulled up the Manager tasks and SVCHOST. EXE has been hogging 99% of my CPU. I have everything closed and stopped and restarted. After the reboot (thinking it was a problem of Windows Update), I went on the Microsoft Windows Update site and clicked on 'Express' updates to try to update manually. He began cycling (search?) updates and soon SVCHOST. EXE, roared back to life and pegged the CPU at 99% of use (effectively maxing out the CPU at 100%). Page Update MS has never reached the point where it stated that I needed updates... He kept just cycling and research. Once the SVCHOST. EXE is happening (I tried this update 3 - 4 times today) it does not stop (if I close the window of Windows Update or not). I need to stop and restart. When I stopped, I see a prompt "end program" for RUNDLL. EXE that (when I try to 'end') translates into a prompt "unresponsive". I have to leave the program to close. As a precaution I've scanned with MSE, Malwarebytes, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware and all were clean. No problem with MS Security Center is. I never saw my computer behaves like this before. At the time of this post, it seems fine except when I try to update on the Microsoft Site. Is there a bug or a problem with the last update?  Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you.

  • After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers

    Hello

After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

    Thank you

  • Last update of Windows 7

The last update of Windows 7 is installed automatically on my pc in the last days. After the reboot, the Internet Explorer connection is blocked. A system restore is necessary to return to the operation. There must be a mistake in the last update.

You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and it seems to be the cause of this problem for most, if not all, users.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].

    - - - - - - - - - - - - -

If you do not have McAfee then Windows update than kb2705219 can also be a cause as the uninstall that appeared to solve the problem for some users [but I'm not particularly convinced by this]. To uninstall an update - control panel, programs & features, [left side of the window] see installed updates. Wait until the system has finished the research for the list of updates. Select update required, then right click and Uninstall.

  • Why my PC does not install updates? Although located to automatically receive my last update was February 2015 and all others have failed.

    Original title: updates

Why my PC does not install updates? Although located to automatically receive my last update was February 2015 and all others have failed.  Although I tried to reset nothing help.

Have also tried to download Windows 10 but computer spends all day looking for updates, but nothing happens.

As its been almost a year that it is updated, you may be better off to backup your data and backup of your entire system, so you can get back to this point at least if something goes wrong. Then:

Update your anti-virus software and run a full scan. Then download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytesfree. Keep it free, no need to start a trial etc. Malware can be a cause of failure of the updates, the scan won't take long to run and should report something nasty, if its there.

Then you can try the following:

    1 convenience store update Windows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter

    2 system update readiness tool - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/what-is-the-system-update-readiness-tool

    3 components of reset update - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058

    4. check that "Windows update service" and "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" are listed and running according to the details in this article - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2730071 "

If the above does not help, consider trying a 'repair installation system' - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html if you have windows installation discs, or a 'factory reset' (updated) If your PC came with no windows disk and was preinstalled. NOTE - in case backup your data and your system first in the form of data may be lost if something goes wrong, and data will be lost in the case of a factory reset.

If you do not want to reinstall again, post back with more details, that is at least what is the error code when the updates fail? (find an update failed in "view history update", right click and click details.) Check a bit to see if the same error code. ). Then someone else can we hope to help more.
