OK, I called SanDisk and they understood the problem with me on the phone.  Wireless Media Drive passwords do NOT accept special characters or spaces.  Numbers and upper & lower case only.  Even for the SSID, except spaces are Ok for the SSID.  Hope this helps someone else who can read it.
