  These are the things that apparently have no drivers available for download from the dell website?   My biggest problem is solid... I'm going to assume that "PCI Device" is the sound card, but I assumed prior it was integrated as a result would not be PCI. I tried all the drivers its unique card which = Latitude D830 / 32-bit of Windows XP.  Whenever I try to install the driver, it fails and indicates that the system is wrong etc.

  I changed the BIOS, etc. It is a problem very very very very very very very very very frustrating because there seems to be no one else with this problem, and if there is someone so I was not able to find a thread about it.  Please help me before go me crazy.

  I was wondering do you know sound card drivers who recognize the sound card for the d830 with win 7

  The D830 has Sigmatel audio hardware. The company went bankrupt before Win 7 but you can install the Sigmatel Vista version R171788 in compatibility mode.

  Download the driver package and extract the files (unzip or decompress and take note of the name of the folder created) but cancel the installation process. Go to the folder on the hard disk to which you have unpacked the driver files

  Find the setup.exe file and right-click on it. Select Properties. Find the Compatibility tab and select Vista.

  I'm having a strange sound issue with a laptop Latitude e6320. No matter what I do, I can't get the sound to work. I work in a school and have dozens of them on hand, and so I could try to Exchange pieces of work known hoping to narrow down, but without success. I have updated audio driver. I put an another HARD drive that contains a Windows installation in which sound works fine on another laptop. I tried to replace the speakers and the motherboard, and when it does not work I started to have desperate and tried a new Palm as well as the riserboard on the right side under the volume controls. Despite the reconstruction practically the computer, there is still no sound. Any suggestions?

  I have a Latitude D830 with the PM965 chipset. The vehicle currently has a C2D T7500 (socket P). Cannot find a definitive answer on the site of Dell or Intel. It lists the compatibility of the chipset with the 7 series processors and a front bus at 800 MHz max. I want to upgrade to a T9400, or at least a T9300 (because it is still 800 MHz FSB). Does anyone know if it would be possible?

  Hello, I recently bought a

  HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t CTO desktop computer.

  My high def IDT codec plays pretty much all applications very well. But I have one application, client of Poker of Bovada, the noise ceased to come thru. I'm under WIn 8 64-bit Pro and I loaded the latest version of the driver. That fixed the issue for a day then the problem came back! What would cause that an app not sound? Indicators of volume in the sound mixer fader shows the sound creation application and the potentiometer main system providing sound, but I get nothing. Spotify and itunes and all the other apps as well as prompts system sound fine simultaneously while applying Bovada is silent. (Bovada) they know nothing to cause this and say if mixer audio fader shows her, I should hear it and believe it's a matter of winning 8 or HP somehow? !! ?? Help, please! Thanks in advance for any help!

  Finally problem solved it by downloading the new driver from HP. The driver that Windows 8 will find and install DOES NOT WORK on my machine. The HP works perfectly!

• MacBook Pro/Windows 7 driver sound issues

  I own a macbook pro, one of the new models of unibody 15 inches and since the installation of Windows 7, I was not able to properly use the microphone (on Windows) and sound acted pretty strange.

  The OS x included with my computer installation cd is supposed to install the necessary drivers on the windows side, and it seems to have done that, for the most part, except that I couldn't use the microphone in a multitude of applications. The control panel "sound" recognizes the microphone and shows that the microphone is receive sounds. The small green level bar next to "microphone" move when I make noise, yet no application appears withdraws all the sounds.

  After a little research, I gathered that the soundcard in these is actually a Realtek HD card and not a card Cirrus Logic, which is what I had drivers. So I tracked the Realtek driver, I thought I needed, uninstalled the Cirrus Logic driver and installed realtek one. However, this realtek driver does not seem to do anything, because the driver is now just listed as high definition Audio Device, which is the standard windows driver.

  Other issues I had with the cirrus logic driver - once I plug the headphones, I can't sound on speakers of the laptop again unless I have restart windows. In addition, if iTunes plays the sound in all other programs in the past and not coming back unless I restart the program.

  I guess I need to know if A) I am not mistaken on the Realtek is the right driver, B) cirrus driver is in fact correct and there is another solution for the microphone and other problems or C) there is no hope.

  So it seems that my problem now is that the realtek driver does not work. I downloaded the executable version of the driver first and installed, but when windows restarts, the sound icon at the bottom right has a red cross on it and after a quick diagnosis, he told me there was a problem with the driver.
