Latitude E6530 - ongoing fan on food

Hello

If I plug my AC adapter / CC, I have an ongoing activity of the FAN. the noise bothers to work.

If I'm running on battery, always collapsed fan - not much activity.

Whats happen?

Thanks for help

On my computer (Windows 7 X 64), I have found this to be caused by "Power Options--> Advanced--> System cooling policy" being active when it is plugged in and passive when runs on batteries. I think I'll just keep the setting, the fan doesn't just a lot of noise when running.

    • E-Port more APR (2 DisplayPorts)

I would buy a 4K display to use with this config. I'll be able to use it on 4K resolution?

I use a dual display configuration. 1st is my laptop built in FullHD screen, and the 2nd would be the 4K monitor.

    UPDATE:

I went to a nearby store with my laptop + APR to try a 4 K monitor. :

    • A monitor of Samsung LU32E85KRS with 4K capability works only in the resolution of 2560 * 1440 (60 Hz) attached to the port to display the Apr.
    • A wide S34E790C of SAMSUNG monitor (Native res: 3440 x 1440) work as resolution max. (60 Hz) attached to the port to display the Apr.

That means, my laptop hardware (or software) does not support a resolution of 3840 * 2160 4K full. :(

    UPDATE 2:

I have successfully created another 4K (LG 27UD88) monitor with my laptop with full 4K resolution (3840 * 2160) 29 Hz via Displayport. It works like a charm.  :)

  • Windows Update runs continuously after the installation/purchase program for Dell Latitude E6530 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello

I bought a Dell Latitude E6530 'renovated', that was the end of the lease. (It was not defective). I started up and installed Dell help. I have had no trouble to do a few minor update of drivers. However, when I try to update Windows it just runs and.

I checked the Windows Update with the troubleshooting Diagnostic Utility. I made sure that there is no infection or rootkits on your computer. I followed several suggestions I found the title of Microsoft Support positions and renamed the folder of Distribution system, as well as a few things of the reset. I have register/authenticate online with Microsoft Windows software.

When I run the troubleshooter, it says registration for the Service is missing or damaged, and he said it suits him, but he can't solve "problems installation of recent updates. However, when I run it again, it is said that he correct once again.

    Any suggestions?

  • Problems of latitude E6530 USB 3.0 Windows 8

    Hello

The left USB 3.0 on my Latitude E6530 does not work when I connect a USB 3.0 device to it. If I plug in a USB 3.0 in device after Windows starts, it does not recognize anything connected to this port. If I connect a USB 3.0 device to the front port to turn the system, Windows will recognize the device once it starts (it will mount an external hard drive, for example), but will immediately report there is error when loading it. This port usually does not recognize devices USB 2.0 without any problems.

USB ports are working fine. I can connect USB 3.0 devices in the USB 3.0 port right, and they work. I can plug in devices USB 3.0 to one of the USB 2.0 ports, and they function as devices USB 2.0, as expected.

I am running Windows 8 Pro.

It's probably a driver issue or a hardware issue?

    Thank you.

I have the e6530 of Latitude with the docking station and NONE of my USB 3.0 ports act as 3.0.

But I'm happy to say that it is corrected now! :)

I had later "Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver" is downloaded from the Dell site and Device Manager reports no problem - but every time I have pluged a USB 3.0 device in any of my "SS" USB 3.0 ports I am greeted with the message "this device could accomplish a lot faster..." "in my systray.  :(

I downloaded USBTreeView (freeware) and when I connect a device, according to me, it connects to a USB 2.0 hub port.  No 3.0 ports under my "Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver" were already used.  :(

But this thread solved my problem. The problem is the last "Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver" driver on the Dell site is almost a year older than the latest in Intel.  Thank you JeanPier - your message has reported me here:

  • Latitude E6530 will not wake up

    Hello

I had an E6530 of Latitude with an E-Port II a few weeks ago. In general, it's great, but I got an annoying problem a few times:

The laptop is connected with the lid closed and two external monitors and external USB keyboard and mouse connected. It is currently running Windows 7 Ultimate.

The laptop goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity.

When I press the power button on the dock to get out of sleep mode, standby mode external monitors stay and the mouse and the keyboard doesn't work (no light caps lock num or laser on the bottom of the mouse).

If I disconnect the laptop and open it, the screen stays off and it does not meet the keyboard or touchpad, even after several minutes of entry. However, the power light is on and the hard drive flashes sometimes. The only solution is to turn off the laptop by holding the button for a few seconds.

Note that this happens whenever the laptop is awake from sleep, happened only 3 - 4 times per month. The Windows logs don't show any errors either.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how to solve it?

    Thank you

    Alistair

    Known solutions or ideas?

FYI - the system and software came pre-installed & I don't think they gave me a CD with XP on it, so a solution that doesn't require you to put the CD in the dvd player is going to be my only option.

You go to the website of the mftr. (Trendnet here) and download the drivers. It's the only place wherever you get them unless you have recorded the CD originally supplied with the unit. Usually, you can reinstall the drivers, but if there is an entry in Add/Remove programs and uninstall the device first.

  • Computer suddenly stopped

My computer suddenly shuts completely anywhere from half an hour to several hours apart. I get a box that says location information, but it closes so fast that I was never able to read. I noticed that I had to completely connect. Can anyone help

    Hello

A spontaneous stop that does not have Windows stop properly is usually initiated by the hardware of the system to prevent damage to the components. Usually, as 99% of the time, it is due to an overheating condition. Modern hardware system monitors this condition and automatically shut down the system if the temperature exceeds pre-set limits. Turning off this feature or change temperature settings is not the right solution, even those these options may exist in the system BIOS.

The right way to cope is to open the case and blow out any accumulation of dust or debris, in particular on the processor fan and heat sink. You want to check that all fans, including food, work correctly and replace any that are not. Make sure that the tower itself is placed in a position where there are a lot of circulation of air, do not place it in a cabinet with a door that is closed all the time, simply won't be enough air flow.

In the case of a laptop, the best you can do is ensure that the intake and exhaust exits are cleared when the system is in use, and sometimes, it is recommended that you use a cooler rug to make life easier along. Using one on a soft surface like a pillow or cushion bed can make the problem worse by blocking air flow and prevent the circulation required to dissipate heat build up.

  • Reference Dell backup and restore (Premium Edition) 1.7.5.63

Since upgrading my software Dell backup and restore to version 1.7.5.63, I now have problems to make it past the "Dell backup and recovery Please Wait" screen.

I'm not leaving this option to run for more than 8 hours, but found that this process is not always successful. The only way I could find to block this process to run is to click on the? at the top right of the screen, then select "activity log". At this time, I clicked on the home button to take back me to the Dell Backup and Recovery Premium Edition home page and close the application. However, when I tried to re - open the application again, it brings back me to the screen "Dell backup and recovery Please Wait".

To solve this problem, I tried to restore from a previous backup I made of the Dell Backup and Recovery application but it failed miserably and corrupted my hard drive and operating system (Windows 8.1). So the only way I could get back to who had to go back to my backup bootable disks that I created when I arrived to my laptop Dell Latitude E6530.

Then I had re-installed all the 100 + updates of Windows for upgrade to Windows Pro 8.1 by the Windows store. From there, I upgraded my software "Dell backup and restore (Premium Edition)" at 1.7.5.63 and had the same problem again.

In any case to have a fix for this or tell me how I can raise an incident with Dell, because this is so ignorant and frustrating.

If I uninstall my Dell Backup and recovery software (Premium Edition) and reinstall the version found in http://www.dellbackupandrecovery.com/en-us/Index.html , but the last time I did, it installed the basic edition and not the Premium edition.

All right enough the last time I had problems with my Dell backup and recovery (Premium Edition) software, it seems to settle on the other updated after a few months, but I don't don't want really to go back to an earlier backup with an older version of the recovery (Premium Edition) software and backup Dell.

Any help or advice, you would be extremely grateful.

I'm shocked that Dell is detrimental to Windows backup in Windows 7 Professional.  Your comments here persuade me not to pay for the premium edition.  Various people on other internet research said Dell had a great program backup, 6 months ago, but weakened while it is able to sell a version Premium, also hobble the program backup Windows.  You might try a free backup software like Comodo as I suspect that you can not use the Windows backup which makes a backup with files image.  It was a very simple approach that Dell seems to have stuck in their new versions of Windows 7 Professional.  I restarted my computer because of this kind of game.  Since I bought it at Costco, I have 90 days to return it.  I also started watching a series of online backups.  Carbonite seems terribly clutter my computer, and while highly recommended, it is slow, slow, slow.  I am CrashPlan that seems to work much much much faster.  Both of these are paid services.  CrashPlan has a lot of versatility to accommodate beginners to evolve into something much more powerful.  They have free versions for recording to hard drives and other computers.  The online version has Unlimited storage, much versatility, without the limits other plans have, and it's only 4-6 dollars per month, depending on the current sales and payment terms.

  • Question about LINKS 386 PRO MS-DOS Version?

In 1995, I bought the Version of MS-DOS PRO LINKS 386, produced by ACCESS SOFTWARE INC. It is a GOLF software designed to be played on a computer. My question is if I can install this program on my computer Dell Latitude E6530 laptop with Windows 7 OS? I have a lot of memory and hard drive capacity. I have the MS - DOS diskette 4 of each program. I have an attachment to disk installer for my laptop. If you think I can get a compatibility please suggest a procedure for installation. I'm a bug of golf and these cold long winter days have led me to take this program from my archives to play.

    Main

There is no easy way to do especially if your Dell is 64-bit.  You could try an XP virtual machine in win 7 and it works on the XP VM.  You could try to find an emulator like DOSBOX (http://www.dosbox.com/)

    It will take some fiddling.

Is there a valid way to uninstall this, given the problem - or an another workaround?

I hope that it is not bad form to reply to my post (!), but I am pleased to announce that this Microsoft utility fixed my problem. I ran it, it looked for my system, then asked me if I wanted to uninstall or install a program, I chose to uninstall, it sought then yet once showed me a list of installed programs. I have selected SQL Server Compact 3.5 for Devices in the list. They asked me if I want to uninstall it (I think that - already done and I do not remember)-anyway, I welcomed the utility for uninstall and there was no problem. It is very useful. I don't know if the source of the error and this solution is specific to windows 7 64 bit, which is what my DELL Latitude E6530 is running, or if it is a general problem and fix. I'll never know the root cause, but at least I can go forward.

We have seen similar problems in the past with some portable computers when using DVI VGA, replaced cables cables with VGA to VGA cables and used a VGA to DVI adapter on the codec itself set. (We also forced 'VGA Out quality XGA')
