(Redirected) HDMI cable on laptop support
Hello world
I would like to know the length of the HDMI cable that can support on Dell Latitude E6530 laptop.
Tested with 10 meters - worked well with the two E6530 & E6520
15 & 20 meters cable has worked with E6520 but failed with E6530, not yet worked with PIX of 1280 * 1024.
Hi bschouhan,

When I plug a hdmi cable my laptop turns off
Whenever I plug a HDMI cable for laptop may it instantly stops and cannot restart until the cable has been disconnected. I only bought the laptop 4 months that when checking to see if something was faulty output HDMI was working fine; now, it will not work. When looking on Device Manager I couldn't find a driver for the port (is he wants to be one) and I tried to update drivers, but still the same problem.
I have an acer aspire 5738zUsually, there is no driver listed for the HDMI driver. HDMI is an output video "high-end" and it is usually controlled by the video card.
Try another HDMI cable. Try another TV.
If the HDMI port always stops the laptop, you may need to take to a service center. This could be a------hardware problem.

HDMI cable plugged laptop tp and TV no sound coming from the TV only to laptop
[Transferred from Internet Explorer]
Hello
I suggest to check the audio device by default and check if it helps.
Set the audio output device by default using steps below:
a. click the Start button and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
b. click playback devices.
c. Select the default device (internal speakers or speakers of HDMI output) and set it as default to make the sound come from specific device. For more information, see the following Microsoft article.

Pavilion TS 14: Projection TV via HDMI cable
Bought the laptop in 2013, found I couldn't connect the laptop to TV via HDMI cable, the HP support team fixed by using remote access to my laptop. I recently installed and uninstalled Windows 10 and have found that I have the original problem of not being able to connect to my TV again.
No one knows what to do to fix it. I have prints of what HP has done to fix previously, but it did not work.
Any suggestions?
Hi Sparkles1,
I just tried to log in again and luckily it works now. I am very happy and relieved that this problem is corrected himself, as I did nothing.

Hi all
I currently use a HDMI cable to the video stream from my MacBook to my TV. It works fine except that it doesn't seem to be a way to close the laptop and always maintain the connection with the TV. First of all, I do not leave my laptop open, exposed if you want, when you're arms reach. Then, when it is connected to the TV, it is at least 2 to 3 yards away. In addition, I have recently adopted a cat. His favorite thing to do is to tap dance across the keyboard. Therefore, I am more able to let the laptop taken in isolation within the connective range of HDMI cable because the cat will walk on it. In any case, I tried to find a way to close the lid of the laptop, the laptop to stay awake and keep the connection to the TV. Any ideas?
Thank you
Sally

Hi Ashley... B,
Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.
Which version of Windows Vista is installed on your computer?
1. first you need a video cable to make the physical connection. For a better image quality, you must connect to the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.
2. open the "display settings" in your Vista computer and activate the output to the TV screen. You can reflect the content of your computer on the TV or extend the display as a double screen control.
3. pick up your TV remote and switch to "External inputs" in the menu. You need to change the value by default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "video 2" depending on how you made the connection. "
Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer, because sometimes it may not recognize the external display.
You may also change the resolution of your TV screen using the display settings in your panel of control remains the image may appear distorted.

Satellite L650-13D - Supports Full - HD TV with an HDMI cable?
I can conclude that the satellite-13D-L650 Full - HD TV with a HDMI cable?
Hello
Full HD means you need a resolution of screen of 1920 x 1080 and all new workbooks or let's say graphics cards support this resolution of the screen.
Just check the display properties in the display driver if you can select the resolution of the screen but I'm sure it's possible.

I have a Pavilion dv7 laptop. Windows 7 64-bit. I am watching a video from my laptop to my tv using a HDMI cable and can't seem to get that issue. Is there a key to seting it upward?
Hello
1. first thing I would check: the cable itself, which is its HDMI version, you may need 1.3 or higher? What is your TV (brand, model)?
2 with the right cable, try the following steps
(a) turn off the television and laptop
ends (b) connecting cable
(c) turn on the TV menu TV allows to accept PC signals (laptop)
(d) turn on the laptop, go to display you should see TWO screens (1 and 2), select TV
Kind regards
