  Anyway, it's not a bug, just a change

  You can change its value in the XML source of the viewObject (I think that the problem is for this reason, otherwise it should work)

  If you still face problem after changing this property then you can go for the second option (new link is part in the previous comment)

I used to get an error message in a popup (sorry, I forgot this description of error message), then when I checked in google (I guess, adobe forums), someone suggested to uncheck QUICK LAUNCH THE FORM IN the BROWSER to the level of the form so, I did, worked fine.error disappeared, although

  Now, I want to use (check) the QUICK LAUNCH area again for the same shape, but, I couldn't find this check box in the options PEOPERTIES of the form menu, pls let me know where I can see this QUICK LAUNCH THE FORM ON THE BROWSER?

  Yes, that's correct. The users will have control on their preferences. I don't think that you can access it through the script.

• JavaScript to launch Designer form PDF w / password

  Trying to solve the problem for smaller developers, in my case, e-Learning, to indicate a way to protect from unauthorised use of a PDF form through password restriction. I got a bunch of e-Learning (KnowledgePresenter) which, in its latest version, has the ability to add JavaScript routines for example to launch a PDF file. So, if I were to create a form designer, password protect/encrypt the PDF version, to open in the e-Learning lesson, the lesson would need to do 2 operations: (1) launch of the PDF file and (2) to deter unauthorized use, password for the PDF file to launch the JavaScript form. Not sure if # 2 is possible, especially since I'm not very good at writing the JS routines, as well as launch of this PDF file with a password, all in a single action, perhaps not even possible for a Designer PDF?

  The "fall back" would be to give the student the password to open the PDF form launched themselves. But, if the password could be hardcoded in the JS/HTML script lesson, as described above, then no one should know the password. It would open from within the lesson. And, since the password is protected so that it could be copied for external use, it does not open without the password.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated, especially ideas on what the JS routine would look like.

  We used this script to modify the values of the objects.

  The script of 'close' will close only the PDF not the application form. Also, I tested it and it looks like any script "app.execMenuItem" will not work when opened in a browser. I suspect that it is because it is open in a browser plugin, instead of Acrobat/Reader.

  I would recommend removing the script 'app.execMenuItem' and by placing a white rectangle on the content of the form in the designer of the LC (it might also include some notice/warning). Defined the presence of this rectangle to hidden.

  Then in the docReady script you would replace its visible presence if the url test failed match to the requested url.

  If it works you need to extend the trial to Acrobat/Reader, so that if a person saved on their computer, they still would be able to display the content.

  In Control Panel, open the Java console and then the tab "Général" click on "Network settings" and make sure you select 'direct connection '. You can also use "Use browser settings" If you are sure that the proxy settings are gone in the browser.

  Restarting the machine is NOT necessary after changing the proxy settings.

  Suppose if I click google.com , and then press enter, it will launch my app. For this, I tried with the HttpFilterRegistry API.

  When I pulled any items in my folder of applications today, the screen came up with three options, organizer, Publisher of Photo and Video Editor.  I just wanted to edit a file, but whenever I tried to click on items, I got an error message saying "Please do not run this application from this application package. In contrast, please launch Adobe Photoshop elements 13 & Adobe Premiere elements 13 in your Applications folder. "That's exactly how I started the program, so it doesn't make much sense.  What I'm missing here?

  For a long time I have played with anything whatsoever in FLASH, so it may not be a solution.

  We have some exe files with the content of the training that we host on our database.  We want to make them play since a swf that opens on a new slide, a button of completion when the exe reading ends.  We usually use Captivate, but I'm not having any luck have Captivate launch exe files, so I thought I'd see what you all fly away.

  Unfortunately something as simple that the setting of the end action to open a file or a URL would nothing more than what Flash would do with navigateToURL(). If you specify the .exe of the course if he tries to load this .exe in a browser which will probably just ask you to save the .exe (like Chrome). To my limited knowledge of Captivate, there are no simple built in interaction capable of launching an .exe, especially not since a SWF as he always limited the capabilities of SWFs.   If this isn't the case, then I think that you are up a Creek without a paddle without invoking an advanced solution.   For example, you could publish your course in format SWF from Captivate. You can import this SWF in a Flash project and then use the features of Flash/AIR. You have to find a way to detect the end of a Flash of Captivate race by recovering to issue something could detect Flash/AIR (maybe it's the last frame of the SWF file or something else easy, or you might need a tip action). Once that alerts you Flash/AIR that the quiz is over, AIR would be able to launch an executable.

  Apart from that I don't see what you want as possible with Flash. The executables are the OS-level security and SWF is just not capable.

  NAT - T is only required if one of the sites is behind NAT.

  NAT - T allows to establish a connection through a NAT device counterparts IPsec. It does this by encapsulating IPsec datagrams UDP traffic, using the port 4500, which provides information of port NAT.
