Launch of slow Photoshop on 'reading Preferences.

When launching Photoshop CC 2015 it takes a few seconds to load brushes and other settings, but then it stops on 'Reading Preferences' for 1 minute.

Tried to reset using Ctrl + Alt + Shift on the launch preferences, by checking the damaged fonts, deleting and disabling extensions and lowering number of brushes.

It did not help.

Any suggestion?

Thank you.

I discovered removing folder settings Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 solves the problem.

Hello I am currently using an i7 retina Macbook Pro 2.3 GHz, 16 GB memory DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce gt 650M 1024Mo

CC of Photoshop is taking approx. It takes about 30 seconds to load and gets the brand "Reading Preferences" after only a few seconds. So, it hangs at 'Reading Preferences' for another + 25 seconds.

I have no plug-ins. I completely did a new install of Photoshop CC without saving the presets, I have my change of graphics turned off on my MBP, I disabled the font previews and validated my fonts using the font book. I uninstalled all previous versions of Photoshop, I had installed. I'm still lost.

I can open Photoshop and it will take 30 seconds... Immediately close and reopen and there about 7 seconds... Close again and it goes back to 30 sec...

I have the same problem on my new iMac that has been cloned to my MBP.

  • Photoshop CS6 gel on 'reading Preferences.

I use Creative Suite CS6 and have a problem where Photoshop will not load. What happened only since this morning and I haven't downloaded or changed something (that I know) since the last, I used the program yesterday.

I read a tip suggesting pressing cmd + alt + shift while the program's start-up and clicking Yes to reset/clear the preferences but it did not work.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can try?

Thanks for your help... I rang Adobe who apparently do not have phone support for products of CS (a bit frustrating), so I then talked to our companies IT helps who found this: Photoshop Tip: how to preferences - Photoshop - macProVideo.com to reset Photoshop Hub

I had to use finder, go (top toolbar), navigate to the folder, type/users/yourname/library, then navigate to the folder Preferences

Then, find the folder of photoshop cs6 and delete everything in this folder. When you open photoshop, all rewritten preferences themselves (if you have kept the window of finder open at the same time, we saw all the elements reappear in the folder)

I hope this helps someone else who may have had the same problem!

Maybe if you check Photoshop on the cover page of the victory 8 and choose Run as administrator from the options bar at the bottom of the page and then do the Ctrl Alt Shift.

  • I can't have my photoshop cs5 read my raw files 7200 Nikon

can someone help me with photoshop cs5 does not read my raw Nikon 7200 files

    Hi laurelj,

So that Photoshop to read Nikon 7200 files, you must be at least Camera Raw 9.0

Please read the article for camera supported: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

So if you want to use Nikon 7200 files, you can use DNG Converter.

Windows: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows
MAC: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh

    Hello

After a week without the help of photoshop, I can no longer open it. Whenever I try this message appears: "Failed to initialize Photoshop because the preferences file has been deleted."

So, I went looking for this preference file that I never deleted and I'm not.

I tried to reset photoshop with keyboard shortcuts preferences, it does not work. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software, it does not work either.

    What could I do?

    Thank you for your help.

Only, I had to rename my Adobe photoshop CS6 settings file. It works perfectly now!

  • Unbearably slow Photoshop

To cut to the Chase, I started using Photoshop this morning, after about a week of not using, to make a light photo editing. But the program is incredibly slow for some reason any. Even for simple tasks like zoom / out, cropping quick selection, etc. are extremely laggy or excruciatingly slow to use. Does anyone know a solution to this? Or did someone having the same problems?

When Photoshop starts acting strangely try reset you the Photoshop preferences. If he plays yet oddly try rebooting the machine you. If you want to cut to the chase it would be a good idea to include the which version of Photoshop to your aid, what OS your using and what material using your.

  • float images in photoshop cs4 - edit preferences uncheck doc opened as tab does not work

Hi, I read on floating all the images in the windows on the forums and I tried to uncheck open documents as tabs in the change preferences - section of the interface and it does not work, my hand is really starting to hurt, I don't know why it does not work?

You open the images by dragging them in Photoshop? If Yes, then make sure you drop them through the interface of Photoshop (as on the layers of panels for example) and not on the work canvas

  • Headphone issues and options grayed out reading preferences

The basic problem is that when I play music via iTunes, if I plug my headphones, it covers only playback through the computer speakers, not headphones.
If I closed iTunes, plug in the earphones, THEN restart iTunes and play music, it will come through the headphones, but if I unplug, it is paused and not restart, even if I plug the headphones insert it again.
Although I can change speakers headphones by stopping iTunes and restarting, I'm often trailing long playlists, it is not practical to do so.
Other advice, it seems that I have to change the "audio playback" setting using "Session of Windows Audio' 'Direct Sound', or something similar, HOWEVER, when I go in Edition > Preferences > reading, the box is grayed out, and I can't change it.

Any advice on how I can do so I can change the option, or any other fixes for the problem of helmet? Thank you very much

(Running for laptop HP with Windows 8.1, iTunes 12.5.1.21,

Installed new hard drive and reloaded the operating system on June 16, i.e. when the headset/speaker turn is more, before, and then it worked fine.)

Have you found a solution? I've just updated to iTunes 12.5.1.21 and I have the same question, ' Edit > Preferences > reading > play Audio using the "gray

Direct Sound is the vastly superior choice if you have several outputs such as speakers and headphones and now if have to stop iTunes whenever I output to the speaker.

  • Slow to mark read messages.

I just moved the files from one PC to another. Reinstalled Thunderbird on the new machine. Account POP3, I've used for years. Have had problems of slowness in the past on the old machine, followed by some antivirus, etc. Old machine behaved properly recently. The machines are slightly different hardware, but both are Windows 7.

I keep a large Inbox (easy search); about 7000 messages.

On the new machine, marking a message read or unread or deleting a message, freezes Thunderbird for about 25 seconds. Move from an already-read the message to another has no time limit. Only when moving out of a message which has got only marked as read, or to mark a message read, causes the delay.

I tried to move half of my messages to another folder and compacted in the Inbox; Frost goes to 11-12 seconds (proportional to the size of the Inbox). But I don't want to leave it like that or keep the Inbox so small.

I compared the behavior in other folders (I check in from 2013 and before files in different folders): archive folders have the same proportional delay. More large files may cause a delay of 40-50 seconds. Small folding machines have almost no delay.

    These things made no difference:

    -Thunderbird safe mode, no difference.

    -Disabled antivirus; no difference.

-Enabled indexing (indexing of the file Windows, intelligent indexing of Thunderbird); no difference.

    -Database global rebuilt; no difference.

-Enabled "Use Thunderbird in offline mode": no difference.

-Verified Inbox gets rewritten instantly when I click on a message to read or click to mark unread. the gel comes after that.

    This, however, eliminated the delay:

-Restart Windows in safe mode with network. Thunderbird responded immediately, as it did on the old computer. Delay has disappeared.

Restart the computer in normal mode, returns the delay.

I found my problem - and thank you to all who responded.

It's my fault - I said this isn't the antivirus, and it's because I had turned off all * internet * monitoring and it has not affected.

Explain to a friend in person, I realized that I had not tried to turn off real-time * file * surveillance.

That was the problem. McAfee's scan the Inbox for the virus attachment file every time that the file was rewritten (whenever a message has been marked read or unread).

Obvious as soon as I thought about it. Thank you, everyone. Problem is solved.

  • Wireless AC slow (and different) read/write speeds

    Hi all

I just bought a new Mac Mini and unfortunately it is too far from my media server to run an ethernet cable (I just moved) so I use an Airport Extreme (new model with AC Protocol).  But the read speeds seem to be slow I can't broadcast some movies from high on the server bandwidth.  I tested the speed of transfer, and it seems that I get the following:

    READ: 24 MB/s (or 192 MB/s)

    WRITE: 8 MB/s (or 64 Mb/s)

Can someone explain to me why these speeds are not the same?  And should not be a lot faster?  I get full signal and I joined technical details if this helps to explain anything. I would like to know what speeds you guys get with your Airport Extreme.

    Thank you!
