LE2001WM: Replacement monitor failed after 8 months warranty - is it covered initial but guaranteed more?

Hi, I had a monitor replaced towards the end of the warranty period of 3 years (went dim).

Now, 8 months later, replacement monitor has the same question. I checked and the new monitor is out of its warranty period of 3 years older.

Can I ask for a repair/replacement on this point, since the replacement only lasted a year?

    I bought 4 intellimouse to 4 laptops.  After the failure of 3 1/2 month three of appoximately transceivers, quite warm to the touch you can not hold them as if a diode were burned.  Two of the transceivers has no less one hour of each other and the other a week later.  The first sign was an on-screen error message (windows 7) that a usb driver failed after detecting a device.  Did I just get a bad batch of peripheral mouse (Best Buy in Auburn, ME)?  Only one of the original devices 4 still works.  We have replaced the three different failed with wireless mouse devices and they worked.

    1st time post sorry if this isn't in the right section. I bought 2 hard drives at Amazon for my NAS box there is a little more than 1 month and 1 disc is now dead and the other shows errors, when you contact Amazon they advised that I need to go back to the manufacturer who sold them. Like Western Digital drives I had already checked their warranty on their site and they have said the same thing so that the State of the disks (Dell WD2003FYPS Western Digital 3.5 inch 2 TB of HDD SATA Raid Edition) these will be covered by Dell and if so, what would be the best method of contact for we hope to solve my problem.

    All component computer purchased from a third party [Amazon] and not Dell is not covered by Dell warranty.

    Sounds like a third-party vendor was selling hard drives Dell OEM, which is "Caveat Emptor"

  • DV import fails after 6 months

    Since last September, I use FCP x 10.2.2 on 27 "new screen Retina 5 K, many extra horses and external HDs, some vintage for a reason.  Until today, video DV was fortunately imported from my Panasonic AG-DV2500 Pro player who manages mini and standard cassettes.  Even if the import window seems to take the fine electrons with the clock digital delay until manual termination, there is nada when I look in the compartment of the project in the creation of records every day.

    (in full disclosure, the content of my project involves sometimes get analog 3/4 "- or 8 mm video transferred first in DV until he could become a digital asset for Final Cut")

    OK, I found that my 3 capricious matter in a folder to create project Date dated 2003-02-06, but not found in the main folder of media X.  Well.

    I think that recording-over on a legacy mini-DV tape segment should have kept original timecode of the cassette to the mystery date.  It's a work around, but not a problem hardware or software, so please ignore the above.

    Excellent work. The two sets of Gdisk steps are correct. If you are on El Capitan, these two sets of measures Gdisk will fail because of the Protection of the integrity of system being activated. Please disable SIP.

    1. boot in local restoration (command-R).

    2. start utility-> Terminal.

    3. type csrutil disable in the Terminal, and then press enter/return.

    4. type csrutil State.

    5 start normally, then type csrutil status to confirm that all of the individual entries are still disabled.

  • oxC004F061. After replacing a failed hard drive, windows 7 do not allow me to activate. I had replaced a previous hard drive with window xp verson with this same program windows 7.

    Two years ago, that a virus killed my hard drive of windows xp.  Dell has replaced the hard drive as it was under warranty, but spoke to me by getting the upgrade to windows 7.  It was installed after that the new hard drive was put in and worked great until 3 weeks ago, when the hard drive is dead again. replaced the hard drive and put it in the installation discs but do not know where I was wrong.  It will not let me activate windows and gives me the code 0 x C004F061.  I'm short on time to enable any suggestions on what to do.

    Have you tried to restart by phone?

    I have a laptop computer X 230 and I run the Diagnostics and health care system and it seems that the HARD drive has no 2 test here: 'targeted reading test' and 'SMART short self-test.

    The same program said my warranty expires in 240 days, but I don't know that I bought the cheaper coverage option, so I don't know exactly, what is covered by the present.

    Can you please give me some advice on how I should contact Lenovo to replace my HARD drive if it is covered by the warranty?

    AFAIK all ThinkPads are covered by at least 1 year warranty. The HARD drive is covered by this warranty, so you should be able to get it replaced.

    I contact Lenovo support and provide them with the results of the health care system and Diagnostics. This should be sufficient to establish that the HARD drive has failed.

    I hope that you have already created a recovery media and/or have recent backups of the data on your HARD drive. Lenovo will send you a replacement HARD drive, but you will be responsible for the restoration of Windows and your data on it.

  • Updates failed after the new HD install

    I live in South Africa and use a MacBook Pro bought in the USA by the end of 2014. When I had to replace the HD in December 2015 the company is certified local Apple had to order the HD of the USA. After installing it, they restored my software and data files and mails in Mail.

    Since the replacement of HD that I was not able to install updates because after that I give permission to update, I get a notice that no update is available under "this Apple ID" or something to that effect. After 8 months of updates failed my HD is slow again with my computer freezing temporarily and the color wheel - wait please turn from time to time. What should I do to allow updates succeed?

    It seems that an another Apple ID that yours has been used when the HD has been replaced.

    Long story short : iPhone 6, I downloaded iOS 9,3/9.3.1 of fingerprint scanner stopped working the same day.  Apple refuses to acknowledge the update of iOS could have abandoned my scanner.

    I downloaded the update from iOS9.3 about a week ago.  That day and all the days after, my phone turns off randomly several times (forcing me to restart it).  In addition, the same day of the 9.3 iOS update, the fingerprint reader has stopped working.  I'm very well on my phone so I thought it must be a problem of update.  I went into settings/privacy, trying to set up the scanning of fingerprints and it wouldn't let me put a new stamp in and jumping right to a screen "Fingerprint has failed."  A few days later, I downloaded the iOS 9.3.1 update (hoping it might solve my problem), and he did not.  In fact, the 9.3.1 was unable to completely download update and forced me to resort to reinstall a backup.

    Later, I went into the Apple Store, and they said that an update could never do that to my phone, and my phone screen needs to be replaced.  Then, after insisting to ask a co-worker for a second opinion, she came back and said she talked to 3 different employees at the Genius Bar, and that the update would not have abandoned my fingerprint reader.  Then she said I have to buy a new phone, and they couldn't fix it.  If I had not been a loyal customer of Apple, then I would have thought for sure they were trying to get just upgrade me to the next model.  Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    No, upgrade 9.3 of the day, he was released, no problem with not touch id, same with 9.3.1 put on daily basis, he was released and have no problem with my contact id.

    So not an IOS update may cause the malfunction of your contact id.

  • Satellite Z830 - screen cracked after 4 months

    I bought my Z830 in July 2012.
    While I liked using the computer, the screen cracked after 4 months of normal use.

    I had to deal with the computer slowly and have always used a bag of ice and computer when they travel with him. The crack occurred while the computer had been sitting on a desk for about 2 months.

    I had about 10 Toshiba computers laptops/notebooks over the past 15 years and have never had a cracked screen before.

    It seems that a cracked screen is not covered by warranty Toshiba, so it is very disappointing.

    I would be very interested to know how many others have had this experience with the Z830.

    I had 3 different notebooks in the past and never had this problem and from my point of view this question cannot goes without any pressure from the outside

    After updating, I rebooted and I manually compiled the vmnet and vmmon modules.

    Unfortunately, the two modules do not have to compile.

    In previous versions of the kernel only vmnet module compiled with errors.

    I corrected manually the file vmnetInt.h in the module vmnet as suggested here on the forum and it compiles and loads OK

    I am at a loss on how to manually manage the change in kernel version of 4.3.0 - 1 in vmmon files so that I can get to compile correctly

    Hi James,

    What version of Workstation do you use?  Even if Workstation is not yet officially supported any host OSes with 4.3.0 core I think that this issue should be fixed in the Workstation 12.0.1, so if you're on 12.0.0 Workstation and have not yet upgraded, give that a try.

    I ran repair disk, I run permissions repair several times. I've disabled the creative cloud together apps and uninstalled and reinstalled and it's always the same.

    Please fix this Adobe, or disclose information about how to solve this problem. I have to pay for that month and you are NOT fix every month.
