Legend of success with audio problem

I have a box of click with a legend of success. Success audio a legend attached to it. So if the user clicks correctly, they get a success caption "Congratulations!" as well as an audio message by giving them more information. The problem is that my next slide starts before audio the legend of success has completed if audio is bunk. I checked this slide and it's particular elements against a similar that works properly and the only thing I see is different in Timing (Options-Timing) of one gray is incorrect and timing of the right pair is not dimmed. The specified length is long enough to play the audio on the legend, but the departures of next slide before the end of the audio of legend of success.

I tried to remove this clickbox and recreate all this and it still occurs.

Any ideas?
Thank you!
Michelle

I just thought of it. I got the updated clickbox to run for the entire slide. When I shortened and removed 'display rest of slide' and then it started working.

  • Can I stop the slide (text to speech) audio when a legend of quizzes with audio feedback is displayed?

Hi there, we use text-to-speech on all of our slides, however there is a problem, we have been unable to resolve.  If we have audio on a blade of quiz that this continues to play when the legend of feedback is displayed.  This means that if a learner clicks on the answer quickly, they hear the text on the slide and the text of the caption on top of the other.  How can I stop the slide audio if the legend of feedback is displayed.  We tried shares advanced to "stop audio triggered" and experimented with invisible text captions that have audio added, but have not so far resolved.  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Any help gratefully received, thank you so much Janet

PS We use 8 Captivate with the installed voices text-to-speech

It is currently a common problem with audio in modules of Captivate quiz slides.

The configuration options for interactive objects on slides of quiz does not allow the same level of control for audio playback with normal interactive objects on other slides.  (for example to be able to stop the other audio when the user clicks on something).

The Audio triggered Stop action is often misunderstood.  But as its name makes clear, it only applies to stop an audio clip that was TRIGGERED by another action of the art.  That does not apply to background sound, slide level audio or audio level object.

My suggestion is that you return to your design and determine which of the two audio clips (sound feedback or slide) you can do without.  Maybe your learners them useless as much as you think.

  • Another user of HP with audio problem (dv6119us)

I wouldn't hold my breath for a solution, since HP seems don't care. I have a DV6119us which came with XP but is listed as 'Vista Compatible'. HP sent me a spiffy new Vista disc. Since installing Vista, I get no sound from my speakers. The headphones and external speakers work, but nothing since the internal speakers.

I googled and researched 'til I'm almost blind. Yes, I searched these forums. I see similar questions like mine, but not answers. I spent hours with HP support dolts who made me the same thing; uninstall the driver, reinstall, delete this, goof with that, update the BIOS, pass through this hoop FIT a stick in your eye and do chop turn like a local, you try to start a fire on a frosty welcoming. I wiped the drive and makes install fresh, sprinkled holy water, you name it, all useless.

For some reason, HP is silent with regard to this issue. I suspect that HP sold essentially a bunch of laptops as "Vista capable", which are actually NOT "Vista capable" and the extent of HP, that's tough.

Does anyone have a solution for the non-working audio device Conexant High-Definiiton which is inherant in the notebooks of series Pavilion 6000 under Vista 32 bit? Anyone?

    Anyone?

Have a new HP6093EA with webcam and internal speakers.  Everything worked fine when then had some problems with stopping during converstaions webcam.  This has been resolved by installing Service Pack 1 update.  Just noticed this week that cannot record using internal mic, unless the headphones have been connected.

I am very happy that this has now been resolved.   Tried all the HP support pages and suggestions and ended up trying the HP Live Chat Support Online - http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/contact/chat_1.html.    Thought this might be a waste of time they go through the exact same steps as on the support pages but spookily it worked the first time.

Start - Control Panel - Sound - manage tab control record Audo - Contextant has highlighted and then configure - implement micro - other - then follow the instructions.

I tried the exact same thing a dozen times with no results, but when I was online with the support, it worked the first time - don't know if HP technician had access to my computer while he was helping me, but I can't it is worked and I am very happy.

The live Shat support was instantaneous - no waiting for a phone to be decided or hanging on the line and you can work with a support engineer.

Good luck - hope get you it fixed.

  • After restarting windows and then no error in config/system is finally windows starts successfully with no problems quo. __

"windows couldnot start because the following file is missing" c:/windows/system32/config/system.
This message appears at the first start, but when I press ctrl + Alt + Delete, restart windows and then no error in config/system does finally come windows starts successfully without problem usually. I searched on the internet that all solutions are given if windows XP does not start. But in my case after restart only a single window loads successfully. I'm dubious before using the recovery console.
    Please help everyone,
no case I found the solution to this particular problem.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes pulling and buttons power).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else. If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

Never, never, never start with the support engineer technical 'expert' who are hired by Microsoft to implement the KB307545.  You are likely to be in for a frustrating waste of time and might just make things worse.

Always, always, always start with a chkdsk with first error correction.

There is zero logic to start try to copy files to a hard drive with a corrupted file system so corruption of file system must be fixed first using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk can solve your problem completely.
Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.
Start the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD, or create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).
A CD of XP Recovery Console is not the same as the recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.
If you have any bootable CD to run the XP Recovery Console or that you are not sure what type of bootable CD you have, can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).
If you need instructions to create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console, we can predict that too (just ask).
After booting into the Recovery Console, you should be in this folder:
    C:\WINDOWS
For each of your hard disk partitions, you must then run:
    Chkdsk /r
For example, at the Recovery Console prompt, enter:
    CHKDSK c: /r
Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time to complete or seem to be 'glued '.  Be patient.  If the HARD drive light flashes, it's something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.
The chkdsk/r must be completed without error, you may need to run several times until it does.
Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer and the report with your progress.

  • Windows 2008 R2 with audio problems - No Audio output device detected

We are always on the 4.0 update 3 and will move to 5.1 here in the coming months, but we are testing a new environment of Citrix xenapp on 2008 R2 servers and noticed that it is not a sound card. On our 2003 32-bit servers, there was and we have audio broadcast to their thin clients, etc... The upgrade of vmware with vmware tools 5.1 9 will provide a fix for this or is this a known limit? Everyone fell on this? Thanks in advance.

There is not its virtual card in ESX, the remote Protocol is handling that, in this case RDP/ICA/HDX.

  • I used even to make the Blurays for a long time, with success, with no problems. Today, on my current project (.iso file estimated size ~ 19 GB) MENUS rendering time is reported as 31 + Hrs. Is this OK, or is there a problem?

My system: 2013 Mac Pro: Core, 64 GB of Ram, two GPU of D700 12 / 3GB. I was creating an ISO image file using ENCORE 6. I am currently using the latest ADOBE CC system.

The menu on which rendering takes a while has three normal buttons linking to 3 first videos produced. The menu has a long file AUDIO (about 90 minutes) as an attachment.

After letting the rendering process to continue for 4 hours, on the audit of the progress window, progress bars seemed not to be ahead. I waited 2 + hours of overtime and checked again. Progress bars have been in the same place (no deposit). Activity monitor showed that still was still running. At this point, I cancelled the task. Then, I wanted to just MAKE THE MENUS. It is currently running for the 95 + last minutes. Details 'Render' reported ~29.5+ hours as TIME REMAINING. The number of processed IMAGES currently shows ~ 27000 + showing as 169065 in total. The meter for executives of the ongoing transformation to increment of the above stated figure of snapshot of 27000.

I think that maybe I should let it continue to operate at the end (i.e. 30 hours of rendering time, if all goes well). Is - this sound NORMAL?

    Any advice will be appreciated.

Never tried such an audio file for a long time. Are you sure that there is no video movement in this menu?

What format is the audio file?

Is it a screenshot of your computer? And if so, the program captures the fact as a framer-variable rate (VFR) or constant rate (CFR)? Many screen capture programs are VFR, which PrPro doesn't work with. If this is the case, you will need to download a program like the freebie of the hand brake which allows you to transcode the footage to the CFR, then use in PrPro.

    Download page for handbrake:

    Hi Rita,.

There is a patch for A4, which deals with audio problems, not sure it will be useful, but it's the first thing I would recommend.

    You can find it here:

I found that the instructions given by a member was more useful.

    First go to;

Start > Control Panel > hardware and sound > Device Manager >

Then go down to "sound, video and game controllers".

Then 'right click' on the 'Conexant 20671 HD' and on the left, click on uninstall.

Wait for the uninstall process to finish and then restart your computer.

Wait a few minutes after the start to the top and Windows should automatically re - install the driver, that invites you to a message in the lower corner box right saying: "driver installed successfully', with the name of the driver below. (Mine was the same driver "20671 HD"

    Bingo, problem solved.

My laptop is Pavilion dv6-6c53er. So, I'm a DJ and I use a product of Native Instruments - Traktor Pro (second version). I installed the ASIO driver and I cannot adjust audio parametrs, such as master Chanel and chanel monitor where audio mini jacks will play the sound. I bought this laptop, because there are 2 audio mini-prises... and each mini-jack I use every bridge in Traktor. But when I open the ASIO control panel I do not see what mini Mini-Jack cable... There were:

    Dock HpOut

    Alignment

You might want to try Windows compatibility settings before starting your software, its always safe to put things in XP SP3.

You can also try Windows troubleshooting for flawed software.

Other that that, you use the software, with I have no experience, their support forums can be your best bet.

  • HP Envy 23 - K030: Audio problems with HP envy 23-K030 and Windows 8.1

I read all the discussions on audio problems with the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and Windows 8.1
I get audio on my speakers ONLY and not the headset.
I uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled the correct driver by this web site of HP support for my machine.
    no luck - same behavior.

The only thing that worked was the IDT driver installation and Windows device driver high definition.
The headphone jack are properly behaved and everything is ok worked.  However, I lose the audio Panel BEATS and the functions of the Board of Directors of IDT.   (superior quality sound-even with the built-in speakers).

An interesting thing I noticed, when the Microsoft driver is used (and work) on the control panel for this device, it presents "the left panel making" when the configuration screen for the 'speakers '.  for the official driver of IDT, it shows 4 outlets - none of them say "left sidebar", there's rear panel and a plug of façade.    On the old driver that didn't work, he showed "right pane" and there is no control on the right panel.

I think the pilot is simply wrong of this material. The driver is to look 10/2013-it is as if it were updated for this model ALL in ONE - only when it comes to use the headphone jack.

Is there a better driver (I can't "find one beyond 6.10.6486.0 or 6.10.6491 - both had the same problem.)

I do not use my time to often-rarely-last helmet I used them they have worked. Now, they are not - a few automatic updates upset the balance of the force.

Any help would be appreciated. IF not - it is a problem that a person should study.

Also it is reproducible. I have install generic Microsoft driver-headphone jack works and the sound Jack not pregnant, I re - install IDT player - his fate only speakers and not jack.

    I thought about it.

BIOS V 80.09 (on this wonderful site to Support HP) - does all the work

V80.05 - did not work properly with this Version of Bios.

Thank you HP very useful site if you take the time to browse through all the updates.

I'm not able to use AT & T, the message says interwise: there is Audio hardware problem. When I open audio Interwise stops completely, and even winamp plays all sounds. It takes up only if I restart the laptop. Is anyone else facing similar problems? anyone found the solution for this? Help, please
