Lenovo audio t520 "pop".

Hello, my lenovo thinkpad t520 had no audio signal for awhile now.  Whenever there should be a sound played there is a sound burst.  I reinstalled the driver (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds014918) and I checked the "Find and fix audio playback problems" in windows 7.  What should I try?  It seems like it might be a hardware problem of my research on Google (http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/679517-no-sound-t520.html).  Any help appreciated

Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

According to the description of the problem, I can understand that you have some question, receive sounds on your laptop. Don't worry, we'll guide you to get the problem resolved.

-What was the result after running the audio Troubleshooter?

I suggest you follow the below mentioned method and check if it solves the problem.

Method

I suggest plugging your headphones listening or ear phone and check if you are able to receive sound, since when you plug your phone headset or ear, what would the default speaker phone headset/ear rather with built in speaker, by doing this we will meet is a speaker, pilot or a sound card problem.

If you are able to receive sound in head phone or ear phone, then you might need to call the manufacturer and get the speaker replaced.

I suggest you post your questions on the forum of Lenovo

Alternatively, you can contact Lenovo

I hope this helps. Write to us for assistance.

    Hi leonhal,

Are you having the same problem with the files on the computer?

    Two things you can try:

Method 1: Turn off audio enhancements

Reference: to disable improvements audio speaker

Method 2: Update sound card drivers

Because the problem recurs in many of the CDs as well, try to update your sound card drivers. Most of the problems seem to be caused by the wireless, video and audio drivers being unable to work together properly. Like the manufacturers to find solutions, they are incorporated into the latest version of the driver. If it's a good idea to keep up-to-date. Reference: update drivers: recommended links

  • Sound / Audio (CRAC, pop, broken playback) the buffer Y460P issues

    Hello

I have problems playing audio without clicks and pops. They sound like problems of buffer against the recess.

Clicks occur during audio playback of any program, but worsen under certain cercumstances.

The worst time is when I have my external monitor plugged. He actually 10 times worse if I have uTorrent with multiple files running. Even after closing, the clicks remain. The best result is obtained only after the closure of the programmes as much as possible.

The clicks are better, but not completely disappeared, when no other monitor is connected and cover is open. If I close the lid, the clicks well gets worse.

I have an external USB sound (Sound Blaster X - FI) card and also tried with this. It makes no difference, the clicks are stll there.

I updated my BIOS with the latest version and sound card drivers are updated. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks and let me know if you need more information from System.

  • Blocking of the Lenovo Thinkpad T520 disc problem

    Hello friends of Lenovo!

I've got ThinkPad T520 and I really like it, but there is no question that makes me worried about the security of the data. There is a moment when the hard drive becomes hang for about a minute. This is the rate, usually happens when you try to connect to Windows 7... interface is still active, but hand disk is hang (green led is always on), it seems that everything is blocked because of the disc, but looks like it's doing nothing during that time. There are also some rare cases, when happens when I do work on it.

I don't know what the reason for this problem. I guess it could be either:

    (a) internal (maybe physical) defects in HDD OR

    (b) there are some services in Windows 7 that allows to hang so long (my Windows directory is about 17 GB! He was already fat after the installation, I'm the second user of this computer, I bought it a month ago, still 2 years of guarantee).

The hard drive is C300-MTFDBAK128MAG (SSD). You have a similar experience with this computer / hard disk?

I called support in Poland call center today and they suggested to:

    (1) execute and test Windows 7 mode 'diagnostic' (msconfig) OR

    (2) the hard drive firmware update OR

    (3) send the computer to service center

Obviously I don't want to waste time, because I use this computer for work. Do you know what could be the problem and what to do better to fix?

    Thank you very much!

It's weird... The C300 should yield much more information?

  • Audio cracking & popping up on X 1 (Type: 1294-3QG)

    Hi all

A few weeks ago my ThinkPad Levono X 1 (Type: 1294-3QG) produces boring crunches and snaps during audio playback. These sounds are audible on thez built-in speakers and the headphone jack. It happens that the media player and whatever the volume level. When no music (or other sounds) plays pop/cracks disappear.

Does anyone have an idea what can be done about it?

I should add that my machine is only 2-3 months old and still under warranty. If possible, I would prefer fixing the problem myself rather than send it to repair (I can not really missed).

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Reinstall the audio driver seems to have solved the problem (for now).

  • Audio cobs (POP) while rubbing.

I work for the Adventist Frontier Missions, which has a subscription of the CC. I've recently updated to first Pro CC at first Pro CC (2014) and so far have not had nearly as many questions as others. Yesterday, we recorded a few voice-over, I brought in my editing with a few images, edited everything and adjusted the audio levels. No problem at all. I saved the project at the end of the day, stop the Mac Pro and went home. I went back today and to the resumption of the project. As I began to scrub through the timeline I had this horrible pop in my good speakers above 0 db and saw the spike in first level monitor... I had this happen several times before in the past. Usually to restart the computer or the first fixed it, but not this time.

I'm in OS X Mavericks on an Early 2009 Mac Pro. The GPU has been upgraded to a GeForce 680 Mac Edition.

I can't continue to do all the audio related jobs without terrorizing my co-workers and / or damage our monitors. Any help would be appreciated.

I can provide more information on request.

    -Alexander Swensen

I found a solution to this problem, but I know not what exactly I did to remedy. I'm not 100% sure that I fixed it yet, even now, but the problem seems to have disappeared today.

I've done mainly two things that I think helped solve the problem. The first was to remove the folder cache, as well the previews, the database, files, all use what Adobe Premiere as files Cache media. I deleted manually, forcing all my clips to re - scan, conform, etc.. It's a small price to pay, and this process has been done in an hour or two.

The second thing I did was to create a new sequence and copy the text of the problematic sequence in this. (on a new copy just after the restart to clear the cache) The problem seems to have disappeared for the moment and I'm guessing it was a bug with the sequence itself.

My project is always very well, so I'm happy about it.

Here is my theory for why this problem occurred.

First of all, the project was initially launched in first Pro CC. This version of adobe has also been updated several times since the project began. I then moved the project in first Pro CC (2014), and I guess somewhere in there that the process of updating the project (2014) things that has been corrupted in the sequence, I was working in this year there there. There may be other things that have not shown up yet as well as to the rest, but I am not sure. It can also just be a random bug that crept in this way.

I hope this helps someone else.

  • External Usb Audio Card Popping and cracking sound with Satellite L500

    Greetings,

My name is Boyan and I am from Bulgaria, and a year ago, I bought a laptop satellite l500 series (I can't tell which is exactly the model at the moment because my computer is not currently with me and my user manual, the only thing that is said is that it is for L505/L500/L500D / L505D.) But from memory I think it was the Satellite L500D-ST5506 which is currently not at my dispossal, because I gave him for repairs for the same problem that I say down below)

The problem with my laptop, is that when I plug in a Usb Audio card in my laptop I have a crackling sound during live sound is played hollow map external speakers/headphones. I tried several sound cards and speakers/headpohnes which work perfectly well with other computers, including laptops, but the problem continues even when I use an external sound card to connect to the laptop not appearing in my laptop speakers/headphones.

The problem is important only when the signal passes through an external audio card and it is very disruptive since I use my laptop to create music and I bought a sound card expenssive and speakers that can not be used with the laptop. I tried 3 types of sound cards:

    M-Audio Fast Track Pro

    BEHRINGER uca 222

and a simple 3d audio usb audio card external and the problem persists.

At first, I thought that the problem is software and I should install the new drivers, windows 7 automatically recognizes and installs the drivers for the devices and I have its in (but with the cracks and educated) so I tried using the official drivers sold for me with the sound cards, but without success: the problem was still there. I tried to find the new drivers of the sound cards on long official distributors and I downloaded it but the problem was still there. Then I tried to delete all the audio drivers on my computer and just use the external sound card for sound but this eighter helps force. I updated my drivers for my sound card build - in as well but again - no luck.

After substantial thing frist I did when (2 weeks after I bought the laptop) was to contact the store where I bought my audio card and they said that the problem may be so eighter latency or high voltage of the laptop they advised me to try to reduce the latency of the parameters or to try and see if the problem persists if only my laptop running on battery power. I tried two things, and they did not help. Audio cards worked without problems on all the other computers I tried them but me. So they told me that the problem could not be audio cards.

What I then was that I gave my laptop for the Distributor official of toshiba in my country so that they can solve my problem. What they told me, is that a problem with the version of windows which was preinstalled on my laptop and it was not compitable with the sound cards (which was bizzar survey because I tried them on the same windows and they worked, only on other computers). So I'm back from my laptop and passed under my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system to Windows 7 Ultimate edition 64-bit and Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate edition on all versions, that's the problem: whenever I activate a low of passes of audio signal and Audio Usb card he heard cracks and educated. I even tried isntalling Windows XP, but the laptop want spesific SATA drivers for the Windows XP installation which although I found - they helped me install XP and I didn't go the BIOS of the computer to try to put a new and so on, because I'm not sure about that and I could lose my warranty so I said in the official repair shop for Toshiba in my city to put XP on my computer to solve the problem but they can't because they are not liscened to work with software that isn't a recipt for its purchase (which I did not because I bought my windows xp a long time ago and I lost the recipt)

I gave her to get it repaired for the second time by telling them that the change of my operating system has not solved my problem and what they were doing was they changed the motherboard on my computer, indicating that the build in the device realtek audio on my computer is good enough to support a card usb audio or it may be broken and they change the whole motherboard because the generation of card is stuck, so they did it, but my problem has not been resolved. They told me that although I use and map external audio usb signal always going trough my only internal and I have to disable so I tried to disable this trough Control Panel, but this does not solve the problem and I don't have a BIOS option to disable my sound card build-in. Another thing I thought that maybe the problem is that two audio cards do not work on the same bitrate and Hertz so I put both cards to 16 bit 48000 Hz DVD quality (also tried the other options on the 3 cards that I have) but it's the same thing.

They told me that it's just my luck and the construction of the sound card does not support this external sound cards and I would had been more careful when they choose to my laptop first.

I couldn't accept this awnser for several reasons:

    (1) this sound card works on a lower version of windows and are supported by many older models of Realtek and a lot of old computers (one of them bought 2000! and my laptop is of 2010!)

    (2) the guys who were the apperantley of fixing problem don't go so deeply into my problem because they didn't know that in fact the problem was that only they knew that there is a problem with the audio card and the computer interact with them, they knew not that it cracks during the direct play the external audio card.

    (3) I can't accept the fact that Toshiba is manufacturing of models with maps audio chipset that cannot support a simple external Usb Audio card. It is totally unacceptable to me, and I sincerely hope that this is not the case!

    (4) they have tried my audiocards on another laptop of the same series, claiming that they have not at their dispossal at the moment so I'll go tomorrow at a local store and try the sound cards by myself on the same computer in the store.

What I have now, it was that I gave my laptop for repair requesting a statement of the problem in wrtting with details of the problem so I can go to court or ask for a new laptop, but I'll be charged with little money because according to them there is no problem in the laptop and the problem is that my external sound cards are not compitable with the build in house chipset sound card. If I give my laptop for repair, and there is no hardware problem, I'll have to pay the money. I will do this, but I'm now crazy, because that does not solve my problem and I am wasting time and money.

What I ask here is, if you can not help me solve my problem and advice me what to do to fix it, please give me the details of the chipset built in Driver sound card on my motherboard, so I can check if it is compitable with my external sound cards and contact the dealers of the sound card to ask them their opinion. Or if you can tell me what it is compitable with and what not, that would be great. Personally, I think this laptop should have no problem at all with a simple external usb running sound card, but I ask you, if you know something more about it.

If a problem with the build in chipset then Toshiba is manufacturing (or at least sell) audiocards which are not in a normal standart but unfortunately I can not do nothing except complain to Toshiba and never treat whith such productgs more. Otherwise, if this is not true, then my laptop has a problem that is different and I have to go to court with the mans for mounting repair is not my laptop or do not give a new one when I guarantee will not fault of Toshiba and it will be in a way solve my problem.

I hope that you understand how important it is for me and I hope I have fix the problem as soon as possible.

    P.S

I want to say that I am familiar with grammar mistakes, that I did in the text below, and I would ask your excuses that I'm not a native speaker of English.

Hi, I would just say that I had a similar failure although I wouldn't be surprised if she causing of yours, but you never have knowledge, my fault was the lid of my laptop [9 months], it contains the mic and when the lid has been in a certain angle cracks could be heard worse when I got my external sound card all the time it happened, luck, PS, it's a defective membrane [lid to the body] easily missed by engineer because he was the same angle you English is very good

  • Lenovo audio output K910L does not

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I already had a look on the front pages and did a search on this topic but found nothing on this subject, but anway...

I got my Z-Vibe, a couple of days and it works well. However, I now have problems to get a headset or headphones to work (even the room provided with the package). It was working fine when I was examining it when buying at the store.

I have not rooted my phone. I have up to now has been upgraded to kitkat using official software upgrade functionality and a few customizations to display/ringtone/message tone.

I will not be able to return to the store until this weekend so I wonder if there is a fix I can try on my own before I made this trip to the store.

    Thank you

    Chuck

Audio works now. I think it had to do with the Rec or recordable applications. I backed by uninstalling the apps I've used one by one until I arrived at those, and my audio out started to work. I tried to set up a display of root without recording session, and I think that messed with my outings.

How can I get rid of the screen of "Found New Hardware Wizzard: device modem on high definition audio bus" that kept appearing on my screen each time after I log on my computer?  Thank you.

If uninstall you it, it will all come immediately the next time you reboot and start bugging again.

  • Audio pop-up coming at random, no video.

  • Pop at the end of audio rendering

Hello, I've had this problem for several years now, and I workaround solutions that work very well. I post here to see if anyone else has had this problem and if so I hope to find a more permanent solution.

In a Word, the problem is makes from After effects, have an audio hard pop at the end. I am always rendered to the uncompressed AVI format, or Blackmagic MJPEG AVI. Audio pop occurs with both formats on a regular basis. This question is very difficult to solve because I can't recreate it... Which means that the same project can be made several times and only have the audio pop on one of the renders. Pop showed even with well trimmed audio layers before the end of the video.

So I know that it is very difficult for everybody here to solve problems. But if someone has had this problem, or has some ideas to refine this problem I would be very happy to hear from you!

I have but provided information below from the FAQ post. Most of this does not apply I'm 99.99% sure, but what the heck.

Current version of AE: CS 5.5 10.5.0253

    Current operating system: Windows 7

Other software running normally: Trillian, Chrome/Firefox

    Third-party codecs: Blackmagic

Third-party plugins: optical flares and most of the plugins to Red Giant available

    OpenGL: No.

"The problem occurs only with your end result, RAM Preview, or both?': only on the final output."

You use Simultaneous multiple images rendering multiprocessing ?: No, I'm not.

Hello again! I did a lot of troubleshooting and finished at the bottom of this issue. Here are some details on the problem for anyone interested. My work around solution is thus listed below.

-Does occur when it made to:

    • Format: AVI
    • Codec: no

-Only occurs with a rate of 29.96.

-Occurs when the project is greater than or equal to 26 seconds. So, for clarification, 25 seconds and 29 frames will not a pop.

    * Change the audio to 16 bit to 32 bit also fixes this issue. But wasn't an option for me to do it on all videos.

Anyone interested in recreating this question can simply make a composition of any size, make long 30 seconds at 29,96 rate and return to the format listed above. Audio pop will be at the very end (leave the video game all the way through if you hear no sound the first time). And once again, which was produced on the latest little Windows as well as the latest editions of couple of After Effects,, , but feel free to watch an original message for the information of the current computer.

Solution: I started to use a new workflow uncompressed to ignore this problem. This should be a viable work around anyone.

    • Format: AVI
    • Codec: Uncompressed UYVY 422 8 bit

Thanks for all the answers and I hope this helps if you have the same problem!

  • Reference Audio Dell - will automatically switch on the headphones when you plug them.

    XPS 9350 - 10 Windows

Can I do Audio Dell (or something) automatically route the sounds of my helmet when I plug them?  I saw no option in the Audio from Dell menu to toggle this option.

I do a bit of work to the library of my school, which means I have to be quiet.

The problem is that when I plug my headphones, I have to wait for Dell Audio for pop - up and then I have to confirm my selection of "headphones with microphone" above all sound will go to them.  Then only will be moving to my helmet.  While I do this, my computer starts hanging and beep all the recent notifications for anyone nearby to hear, until I do the confirmation.

To make things worse, if I plug my headphones on the Windows lock screen, and then log in, Dell Audio pop up just never came up. However, I still give it Windows notification Center make me notice, but it is non-interactive.  Then I have to unplug the headphones, expect that all of the alerts saying I have disconnected something go, then plug the new.  If I wait more for alerts clear selection Windows Audio Dell don't is not loading.  Once again, beeps and dings are once I have connect and do all this.

Of course, it's just as much I na not mute until I closed the lid, the last time that I used it.

SOLUTION: the context menu is not clear.

If you check the option at the bottom telling not to appear whenever something is plugged in, it will automate just about whether you connect (at least I can assure you that for "headphones with microphone").

The way that the radio button is made, simply looks like it's supposed to just disable the pop up and nothing more.

  • Venue Pro 11 (7140) 64 bit Win 8.1 - Audio volume

Playing music from YouTube with the browser Tablet volume controls and the Max value, through the Tablet 1W speakers is clear, but the volume level is not optimal. The same is true when listening with head-phones is plugged. Memory, a few webcasts (product launch of MS for example recent) may have low volume levels available, and so with the tablet at maximum volume, these emissions could be difficult to follow.

When I connect the Tablet taken head-phone to an external sound system, the latter also the Max value, the noise level is not much better.

Is the maximum volume of the room 11 Pro 7140 (internal speakers and head phone port) is limited by design?

However, when I connect the tablet to a TV via an HDMI cable, the audio level of the TV is sufficient such that I can have the TV set at the level volume normal, or even turn it upward due to a level very hard! This suggests that the noise level in the HDMI cable is superior to the helmet of the tablet.

I also have the Dell docking station, and at the level of the headphone port is is not better than the tablet itself.

If there is no solution through a setting within the Tablet, it is perhaps possible to buy a USB2/3 device for the tablet that will give me an output signal line to the external sound system, to a level higher than that available from the helmet of the tablet.

    Any thoughts?

    JasKITS

    Hi Brian,.

    Thanks for your reply.

Solve the problem itself, and I now get a sufficient signal to drive the external audio system, the head-phone jack or the 7140, or the docking station, such that I don't need to adjust the maximum volume.

I don't know how it is resolved itself (maybe finger hurt), but I noticed as I now get a Dell Audio / Maxx Audio 3 pop up when the connection head-phones or the external audio system, asking "what plug in camera?

If the volume of the internal speaker (max value) is too low or not is debatable, but more a high-volume internal speakers probably would not be desirable in business scenarios for which the 7140 has been designed.

Thank you, James (Chichester, United Kingdom)

We are quite limited in what we can achieve for a maximum volume and a tone due to the limited size of the device.   I'm glad that the issue is resolved on its own.

  • Lenovo ThinkPad won't start

Hello, I'm having a problem with my Lenovo ThinkPad T520 running Windows 7 Professional 64 - Bit. It has a processor Intel Core i5 vPro 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB HARD drive. It worked fine up until this point. Here is what happened.  It started when I was surfing the web tonight and it froze. I could not click on the 'X' button, use Alt + F4 or Ctrl + Alt + Delete. So I decided for a difficult start. I pressed the power button until it stopped. When I start again, it froze on the Windows splash screen. I waited for about five to ten minutes and started hard again. This time he asked me which option to start, I wanted to use. Start Windows normally or something like return on error. I tried the error recovery option but it was without result. I started again and it froze again. She is still ongoing now. Need help, tell me what I need to do. I hope it has nothing to do with the material because the PC belongs to my work. >_

Regardless of the fact that he belongs to my work, I am a system administrator.

You are a system administrator of employment in question of title?  If so, you must solve the problem.  :-)  Or you are just an administrator on the system in question?  Having administrative rights does not make you a sysadmin by title.  * smile *.

No offense meant, but the wording of your question was more like an end user explaining what a system administrator explaining.

You can start safe mode?  If so - how does it work?  You can start using the safe mode with networking?  If so - how it works in this mode?

So you're saying that nothing has changed between her works and does not other than gel?  No updates, no new hardware or software installed, etc.?

Have you tried to use the system restore to go back to a point before the system had problems?

Can you use a Ubuntu boot CD and run it from the CD player to see if the machine starts like that and be usable?

You have the media/method of system recovery in mind and you have a backup of the data, you might need the machine (or a method in place, if you are a system administrator, in order to safeguard a complete system so that you can extract data from such backup after a recovery?)
