Yap, it does.

Indeed, there's a Wifi connection. I checked google for sure, and virtually all websites selling this computer say there.

  • Poor/little reliable Lenovo P500 wifi signal

Recently, I bought my new Lenovo ideapad p500... and like most of the time. I dealt with some very unstable wireless connections with this machine. Another device, not more than 2 feet of distance and equidistant to the router, a full signal, yet my ideapad Lenovo P500 barely two bars.

I know low wifi signal is the problem for the other known models and I was wondering if this model has also been victim of this problem. I become very angry due to the interruption of the connection, resulting in work stoppage, while everyone has full signal.

    Thank you!

  • Lenovo v580 wifi card

Hello, could you tell me why when I change the wifi card my phone why does not? I have broadcom 43xx card and I want to change to intel 2230. I see that there is a driver for intel 2230, why it doesn't work? why there is no support in the BIOS, and the pilot have? Intel 2230, there in the maintenance manual as a replacement possible.
    Thank you.

    Hi rvp2013,

Thank you for using the Community Forums of Lenovo!

The replacement of the card must have a FRU number.

Even if the make and model is in the whitelist, but didn't the FRU brand on the map it will be always recognized as incompatible.

  • Lenovo W530 WIFI does not work after closing down

Hi, I have a brand new Lenovo W530. The WIFI does not connect to the web page after shut down, but OK if wake up from hibernation.  I have to go to Device Manager to uninstall the devices then restart and reconnect to the WIFI to make it work.  Please advice how to fix this problem.

This may be a problem with the driver. Update the driver, or if no update is available, reinstall the driver. Restart the PC and then start using the device.

  • Lenovo G500, wifi says "restricted."

-Very well, so yesterday I bought a new laptop Lenovo G500 overnight. It is installed with windows 8. My laptop connects to the network, but it shows a ' limited access ' to my wifi. I have an old laptop (I'm writing this with right now), but also an iPhone that works perfectly fine with wifi, so it has nothing to do with it. I tried to contact Lenovo with this problem and apparently I would have to pay to get any help from them because they believe it's a software issue and not a hardware problem.

I googled different ways on how to solve this problem and have probably tried almost everything.
Restart the router - does not work
    Troubleshooting - does not work
Reset the wireless network card - did not work
Update drivers - did not work (the network card driver that I use currently is a Broadcom 802.11n)
I also tried several guests CMD and none have worked, as the reset TCP/IP and the winsock.
I tried to use my laptop to my boyfriend with his wifi connectivity works completely fine, so I have the feeling that it has something to do with my router/modem?
    -D Link DIR - 605L router
    Modem - model DCM476
If you need more information please let me know.
Update: I checked with windows compatibility and my router is compatible with windows 8

    Thanks for the reply.

I suggest you refer to the answer posted by CharlieWS in the link below and check if it helps.

On most laptops, there is a switch which disables Wifi.  It is sometimes hard to see the little switch on one of the edges, or it may be a combination of keys that is pressed inadvertently.

This switch is designed to allow the requirements aircraft.

  • S6000 Tab - WiFi Direct

    Hello gentlemen,

Could you help me get it someone maybe by the following,

6000 S Lenovo, direct WiFi tab app connects to other devices, however the files or folders you transfer are not met, the transfer fails and the two devices are always connected.

I tried different devices, files, folders, pictures and mp3, nothing works

    Any ideas?

    Very appreciated

    Disiza

Has also had a problem getting direct wifi to work on s6000 - I can see other devices and they can see me but the direct link of the wifi does not appear in my applications when trying to share files.

It seems that Lenovo has messed around with Android that this feature does not work on the S6000.

I found a work around with the Hitchernet app available on Google App store - two devices must have this installed and I could send and receive data through this application. Many other applications works or is suitable only for transfer of data to and from a PC/laptop - I need the Android to Android feature either compressed or mobile phone and vice versa. I also found a few apps would download on a Samsung device, but not for the S6000, clearly, Lenovo too tampered with Android - if the first problem I've had with the Tablet - far has been happy with it but now feel irritated with Lenovo.

Can you try to go to services and verify that autoconfiguration WLAN service is started and set to automatic. Otherwise, set it to automatic, and then restart Windows. Check and see if you can scan for WiFi. If this is not the case, try to do the following:

Go to control panel-> network adapters-> right click on "wireless network connection". Click 'properties. -> Wireless networks-> use Windows to configure my wireless network settings

This disables PROset Wireless management wireless connections and uses the Windows ' Wireless Zero Configuration' utility.

The last attempt is to remove Proset then go into Device Manager and remove drivers ensuring to "remove the software driver for this device" then reboot and install the Proset drivers.

  • Lenovo multi-mode F800 WiFi storage - formatting options?

Basically, it's a 1 TB hard with Wifi capabilities allowing up to 5 devices to connect.
My plan when I bought was connected to my NAS Linkstation of Buffalo as attaché USB storage as a backup device - then I could bring him on holidays for films of children etc.

    but...

It seems that because it is formatted in NTFS that means here the problem lies.

He'll need formatted EXT3 or XFS to perform a backup on the NAS Linkstation from Buffalo schedule

    Issues;
If I would this EXT3 or XFS format I also remove the abilities he has as a wireless device?

If I can Format XFS or EXT3 then the likes of iPads etc. will be always able to read him?
    ..........................................................

    Thanks in advance.

  • A680 Lenovo wifi problem

    Hello
    I just bought a lenovo a680 and received today. (15 Feb 10th)
I connect to my wifi, but a few seconds of connection, the download stops... And still the wifi icon at the top and it is blue in color, which of course means that the router or internet connection is active.
I have to turn off and turn on the wifi to connect again for a few seconds. Even the firmware update, I had start the download, then wait a mb complete and when the download stopped I had to make a break, witch/disable wifi and then again complete. I thought that maybe when I update the firmware, the problem will be solved, but it didn't. The problem, I have an iPhone and an Asus connected to the same router and they work very well without any problems. The router is Netgear.

    Help, please.
    Thank you
    Jean-Pierre

    It's so weird.

What is the current version of the firmware, you have now?

    Parameters-> phone-> Device Info-> Build number.

Try to do a factory restore and see if that helps. If all else fails then take to service center or the person who sold you the phone.

  • Kaspersky think Lenovo wifi driver infected

Today, without warning, Kaspersky int. Security 2010 (latest updates)

in a file of wifi Intel has detected an infection.

    01/04/2011-15:31:33 detected: Backdoor.Win32.IRCNite.cjk HSSWD. EXE C:\Program Files\INTEL\WIFI\BIN\S24EVMON. EXE

He cleaned the (deleted) file. After that tried to use the WIFI but no go.

Now to return to the site of Lenovo to download
    pilot

Intel Wireless LAN (abgn, abg, bg) for Windows XP - ThinkPad

    Version: 13.04.0000
    Release date: 11/17/2010

But cannot download because Kasp. detects the infection even in the same file in the package (s24evmon.exe).

Kasp version: Internet security 2010 9.0.0.736
    4.01.2011 16:23

For now I have no way to use the wifi (unless you disable Kaspersky and reinstall the driver).

I have notified Kaspersky, anyone else have info or advice on that?

    Thank you

    Hello

I contacted someone I know to Kaspersky Lab, which confirmed that the problem has been resolved and upgrade to the current version of their base of signatures should solve the problem.

False positive alarms are not unique to any anti-malware product, and it seems that Kaspersky has responded quickly to resolve this issue.

    Kind regards
