Lenovo G450 blocked supervisor password

Dear Sirs,

I tried to remove the supervisor password in the BIOS by writing the old password, pressing 'ENTER' button twicely, then restart my laptop. After that I still see the request of password, but it is not related with my old password and password empty. So my laptop data bloked.

I want to get suggestions and hear, it's a common situation or what I had done inproperly? If so, then why IBM does not preclude any statement and that pacriculary can help me the IBM support?

Recently, I posted this problem, but it was closed by the moderator because of "this subject is not allowed to be discussed here, as described in the forum rules. I understand and thank him for the proposed support link, but I have found no support contacts throw in my country (Ukraine). I ask everyone to consult me to keep the rules!

If your information is under the rules, please answer me by ruslan.voroschuk (at) mail.ru!

Thank you!

The problem has been resolved in itself!

The problem is inspired by leaving it on the 'request password' in the BIOS menu. So after having erased the password of my laptop continues to ask me the supervisor password, I had put forward and remembers correctly.

But my supervisor password has some symbols such as ',' and it's up to 7 symbols length. I was confused when I heard noises by entering the password and stopped my attempt. After you have entered the correct password not taking into account the annoying sounds, I've unlocked my phone!

Topics on the fourm causes of 'noise' show me the right way.

Sorry to put on a misunderstanding!

I liked my G450 and your nice forum!

Thank you all!

We have forgotten the password. is there a way to reset the password or to disable it without the password?

    Hello

Download and run the http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/conadvpass.html program (if you are able to access the site)

    If not, perform this task:

"If you have forgotten the password of Access Manager, you can remove it by accessing this folder in Regedit (don't forget to back up your registry first):

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\

    CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings

Select the key called icon in the right pane and press on delete. Close Regedit.

Now, you can start Internet Explorer and goto tools, Internet Options... Select the content tab and click on disable. When asked a password, do not write, just click OK. This will disable access Manager, since nothing is more a password. You can enable it again as soon as invent you a more memorable password"

  • ThinkPad T61 supervisor password

    Hello community,

    It's a ThinkPad T61 6457-BK3.

I bought it a month ago and there is a supervisor password in the BIOS. I don't know the password and the company where I bought it from - does not know the password. How can I reset the password? I read many things in the internet about the opening of the motherboard, looking for a smart... and so on — but I don't want to lose the warranty. Is it possible to send it to Lenovo? And how it would be to reset the supervisor password?

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

You can't reset the password without knowing the password first. Sorry we can't tell you the procedure even though we know it (which we don't have), as it is against the rule of the forum.

If you want that Lenovo to reset the password, they just replace the motherboard, which will cost more than your laptop is useful.

  • forget my supervisor password, where can I find it? Please

Have been sick and now I'm back on my machine. I do not have my written EXCEPT my SUPERVISOR password and I can't remember it! My clue is 'ME' and I'm Robert James Cooledge. Please can tell me how to find out what it is?

A 'supervisor' password looks more like a password associated to hardware for Windows.  I know for sure that IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad computers have of 'Supervisor' passwords which are difficult but not impossible reset.  That's what said Lenovo:
A supervisor password will prevent access to the BIOS ThinkPad configuration utility. To regain access, the system must be maintained to have the map system and replaced hard drive. Proof of purchase is required, and this repair is not covered by the warranty.

As with most computer related things, there are several ways to skin this particular cat, but the Microsoft policy ban someone in this forum to provide such notices other than think more difficult on your indicator (initials, birthday, a combination of this information, etc.).

  • ThinkStation p300 supervisor password activated by the update of the BIOS - None previously defined

I unpacked a new workstation p300 today and it works.

    The complete Windows 7 preinstalled.

I logged on the Lenovo Web site and downloaded the latest version of the BIOS.

After installation, I tried to set the BIOS settings to see that there is a prompt for the supervisor password where none had been defined previously.

The workstation is the 30AG variant and BIOS installed is now FBKTCCA 24/11/2016.

I've updated the BIOS with the Flash version of the operating system.

The workstation now works normally except that I can not make any changes to the BIOS settings.

What are the steps needed to solve this please?

    Welcome to the forum

Page 55 of the P300 HMM will guide you through resetting the CMOS and clear the supervisor password. I would copy / paste instructions, but you will need to refer to the other pages in the manual and follow the diagrams to locate the clear CMOS jumper.

  • Satellite Pro C660-29W. How to remove the supervisor password

    Hi all
I've been locked out of my bios and I don't know the password. My little brother was playing with my laptop computer and accidentally set the supervisor password. Is it possible that I can recover the password or reset it? I really need to change my boot sequence as I just bought a new SSD and need to format my laptop. Suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Here's my version of bios and details of laptop

    Toshiba satellite Pro C660-29W

    CPU Intel Core i5 2410 M

    8 GB Ram DDR3

BIOS: BIOS FRIEND - installation utility Aptio
    BIOS system ver: 1.50
    THIS Version: 1.50

    Thank you

Supervisor password is very important safety device and a kind of reset of the user is not possible. You can cancel it, but you must know the correct password to confirm that you are the real owner computer laptop.

Toshiba provider in your country can help you with this. You just approve that you are owner of the laptop, and they can cancel it for you. Of course, you must pay for it.

As far as I know, there are several techniques for the removal of password and it depends on phone model.

Contact the closest Toshiba ASP and ask for help.

Usually, you can remove it by using the password of Toshiba utility.

In Toshiba Assist-> Secure, you will find the supervisor password and user password option.

    Hello

On this that I can only say, check your user manual! ;)

There, I created the following information:
    + C:\Program Files\Toshiba\PassowrdUtility\TOSPU.exe+
+ This utility allows you to do the following: +.
+ Register, remove, or change the supervisor password.
+ Create or cancel a supervisor password token +.

Check this and then you should be able to remove the password if you know the current.

There are no other security settings enabled and when a computer falls into a deep sleep (ie. after a few hours) they get invited to enter the supervisor password when the awakening of the machine.

All computers are running the latest version of the BIOS (2.10) and WIndows 7 64-bit. As we are a school we want to prevent children from starting from CD, etc..,.

    I have configured the Security section of the BIOS as follows;

    User password: not registered

Where I can find all the drivers and all the utility for Win 7.

Your laptop is not model portable American and you must use drivers of European support page.
For now, Toshiba has not begun support Win7, but I hope it will happen soon. The question is if your laptop model will be supported Win7.

In any case, I think you can use touchpad driver designed for A300, but it takes that Toshiba offers all drivers.
