Supervisor password and BIOS settings

When I boot into the bios via esc and F1, it doesn't let me go to all other pages, said the supervisor password is saved but does not prompt you to enter a password for the supervisor to make changes. I updated the bios to 2.0 version, but that didn't make a difference. I need to change the boot order but can not enter to change.

Someone at - it ideas? How can I force to ask the supervisor password? Or let me go on other pages?

Thank you

Hello

Are you sure you didn't put any user or supervisor password?
Usually, you can remove it by using the password of Toshiba utility.

In Toshiba Assist-> Secure, you will find the supervisor password and user password option.

Remove these passwords in order to obtain full access to the BIOS settings

    Hello

I am the proud owner of a R700, at least so far.
This morning, I would try to protect my laptop with a startup password.
So I implemented a supervisor password and restarted my computer.
    It has two drawbacks:
First of all, there is no password start not required and secondly if I push the F2 key to encode it startup, the computer will immediately restart...

How can I enter the BIOS again and how to configure a start-up password?
And, if possible, how to set up a password for fingerprints at boot time?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Try pressing ESC then F1 to access the BIOS.
There you can change or remove the password user and supervisor.

  • Satellite L300: Supervisor password problem

I just bought a Satellite L300 and installed all the drivers from the Web from Toshiba website.

I created the user password in the wizard from Toshiba and once I configured the SUPERVISOR PASSWORD.

But when I tried to enter in the Bios after reboot, the work of doesen't password and in the window when trying to change the user password, it also asks supervisor password and it still says: PASSWORD INCORECT.

    What can I do?
    And why this has happened?

    Hi mate,

I think that in this case only an auhtorized service provider can help you. If you ave you forgot your supervisor or typed wrong password it can only be removed from an ASP.

Here, on the site of Toshiba, you can find a list of the ASP s:

Just talk with them a little and they will help you! :)

  • forget my supervisor password, where can I find it? Please

Have been sick and now I'm back on my machine. I do not have my written EXCEPT my SUPERVISOR password and I can't remember it! My clue is 'ME' and I'm Robert James Cooledge. Please can tell me how to find out what it is?

A 'supervisor' password looks more like a password associated to hardware for Windows.  I know for sure that IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad computers have of 'Supervisor' passwords which are difficult but not impossible reset.  That's what said Lenovo:
A supervisor password will prevent access to the BIOS ThinkPad configuration utility. To regain access, the system must be maintained to have the map system and replaced hard drive. Proof of purchase is required, and this repair is not covered by the warranty.

As with most computer related things, there are several ways to skin this particular cat, but the Microsoft policy ban someone in this forum to provide such notices other than think more difficult on your indicator (initials, birthday, a combination of this information, etc.).
