• H520 Lenovo graphics card update

  I have a H520 with raeadon i7-3770 and amd HD 8570 (OEM), I can change the graphics amd for a GTX 650 or 750? without changing the PSU, also this PSU is a hunting with 240W key which is enough? and btw is has sufficiently pins. I never change on the coumputer material, so I have no idea how someone can help me?

  I have the same system and just upgraded to GTX760.

  You need a power supply of at least 600. I recommend the Corsair brand.

  And if you were playing top online games, you'll need more than 8 GB of RAM installed as well

  Our system can contain up to 32GBs which is GREAT! At the moment I'm 16GBs which is enough.

  The saddest, our system is 4GBs. I recommend the upgrade of at least 16 GB RAM and a PSU600 or more

  I had the version of 085525U. My problem is that whenever I look at Youtube or playing games / audio I get a random stuttering that lasts 5 - 2 seconds. Recently today, I did some more research on it and I tested it it only seems to happen with headphones. When I used the normal speakers, it was perfectly fine. This is a minor annoyance for me and I was wondering if there is any way to fix it. I read somewhere that to get rid of Lenovo Power Manager works, but I can't find it under control panel. I also read that play without the battery in the corrections of the audio, but I still have to test this. I'm on a wired connection, by the way.

  EDIT: Nevermind, it also stutters without the helmet. Can someone help me solve this problem? Again, I find it's a minor annoyance and it's tolerable to some extent, but the have failed from time to time can get boring, especially during the game.

  Everybody had a little luck with the 16 December news Lenovo graphics driver for Windows 8? It installed fine, but every time I try to use the Windows GPU blue screens on me. I really hope Lenovo can remedy if it is a driver problem on their end, year that I am currently are a year old

  OK, I managed to get the driver to work!

  I completely wiped out the old drivers, driver swept, disabled wifi, then installed the old driver of Lenovo, then the new driver Lenovo, in the same session (without restarting). For some reason, it worked and I'm now able to retain the functionality of the driver Lenovo W7 when obtaining the benefits of Lenovo/AMD W8 for energy performance. Hope this is a help for those seeking to update their drivers, the performance difference is well worth it.

• Cursor button Lenovo Y570 GPU broke.

  The button that goes into the USB port, which transforms the on / off the GPU on my lenovo y570 broke. More acuratly little pin that goes between the cursor button, and the item itself on the motherboard broke.

  The only way to solve this problem is to buy a new USB port for my model, but I don't know where to find it. Could you please tell me the right direction to buy that part?

  I have Lenovo Ideapad Y470 and I noticed that when you press keys FN stopped working/show. Namely the FN and FN F1 arrows...

  Of course, I use my laptop for games so I'm updating the nvidea drivers every now and then but really did not notice something not working not not until recently.

  I have a question about cleaning the keyboard. Is it necessary to completely remove the keyboard (up and down) to clean under the keys because these keys are irremovable. My numkey 6 works about half the time (it looks like the signal blocking something and I would check the other keys that do not have a problem of bad.) Thank you!

  I'm passionate about PC, and I want to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop.
  I made with countless facilities distro of Linux, but never a Windows installation (shock, I know!).
  Thus, I have never had to deal with product keys, OEM versions, etc.. I have a few questions.

  I have a laptop Lenovo (Ideapad y470, not it's important...), that came with Windows 7 pre-loaded.
  He came with all discs, but there a partition recovery (or at least done... Can I have saved and deleted)

  I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 (reformat the HARD disk, clean install) using the Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x 64 .iso downloaded from DigitalRiver. I do not wish to restore a bloated version of Windows 7 OEM.

  If I reformat my hard drive and start installing Windows 7 my Self burned disc, I'll be able to use my product key on the label on the bottom of my laptop (same key that is in the registry and found with geolocation Magic Jelly Bean... so I guess that's the key to product...)
  Or though, servers will think that the key is still in use and deny activation?

  You can use the product key on the COA sticker attached to your Lenovo.

  I received today a Lenovo V310-15ISK. There was only the driver intel HD in Device Manager-no option in the BIOS to use switchable graphics. After flashing with the latest version of the BIOS, everything is ok. In the BIOS there are switchable graphics option. In Device Manager, the Radeon driver is here. It was a bug in the BIOS.

• Lenovo M91p desktop does not boot with the new graphics card (Blank don't screen no BIOS)

  I recently bought a Lenovo M91p thinkcenter Desktop as an upgrade to my old PC i3.

  Old Spec is as follows:

  • Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supply
  • Card mother Intel DH55HC
  • Processor i3
  • Graphics HIS HD Radeon 7950
  • 8 GB RAM
  • HARD DRIVE 500 GB

  I transferred my HD supply and Power 500 GB old to new Lenovo desktop and everything starts very well.

  Then I installed 2 x 2 GB extra in the Lenovo M91p (which in fact 8GB) and updated the disk of 500 GB to 1 TB.

  So my new spec is as follows:

  • Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supply
  • Card mother Lenovo Q67
  • I7 2600 3.4 Ghz CPU
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 1 to and 500 GB HARD drive

  Everything Booted fine. Then I tried to install my old graphics (HIS 7950 graphics Radeon HD card) card. I got was a blank screen, no beeps, no BIOS... Nothing.

  At first, I thought that my diet was not enough... So I tested a 750W power supply in the pc. Still nothing.

  Then I thought that the motherboards BIOS was outdated... Updated... Still nothing. I even tried to update the firmware of the graphics card. Nothing.

  The graphics card works because I tested it in my old machine and it worked 100%.

  However, I took my graphics card to my provider and he tests it on another of his pieces... Did not work there either.

  My PC BIOS is not supported for secure boot, in case anyone wants to know.

  I am out of ideas now... Anyone able to help?

  There is a white list of graphics cards that will recognize the BIOS. The 7950 HD is a map of 180w, well beyond what the power plant can provide (and case/sufficient cooling fans for) and not a single one is that Lenovo would provide support for the BIOS.

  There is no way to upgrade the graphic subsystem on your machine. The Intel HD 520 is integrated into the chipset package. Although some laptops have discrete graphics chips, almost none don't have been socketed. They are welded in place.
