Lenovo S12 energy management software?

Hey everybody,

I had a quick question...

(1) setting the preference of processor to the (HIGH) in the result of energy management in the CPU overclocking software?

(2) is it safe to keep it always on top (as opposed to low voltage or Auto)

Thank you

Hi there, no fear... .high processor 1.6 GHz, the BRIGHTNESS of the lcd more... all other parameters will be slower and more light less... and so on...

Allways at the top is more comfortable at home & hip... or if you want your battery empty more earlier ... balanced is good for the use of the battery...

  • Energy management software

Yesterday, the software of management of energy arises on its own, and I changed the setting to optimize the health of the battery. Now I would like to change the setting back, but I can not find or open energy management.

I found the driver on my computer and reinstalled several times, but nowhere do I really understand how to run the software and make changes. The search of my computer turns what othe option to reinstall the driver.

With the installed driver, how do I find/access energy management in order to change the settings?

    Hi AJandAMY,

Welcome to the community of Lenovo.

Once installed the software of energy management, it must create a system tray icon (lower right corner) to facilitate access to its features. If you don't find it there, go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Lenovo\Energy management and search for Energy Management.exe

    I hope this helps.

  • Update to the latest version of the energy management software

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help you. I downloaded the version 3.0.3 of the software of management of energy but never installed since I first want to make sure that it is compatible with my version of BIOS.

I have 14CN88WW installed BIOS version. Someone knows if it will be good to install the latest software of management of energy with this BIOS, or do I also need to update the BIOS?

The computer has no problems (other than a slow playback of some HD videos). I want fair access to energy management improved in version 3.03. I'm currently under version 3.0 of the software on Win XP.

    Thanks again,

    MIkejay

    Hey MikeJay,.

So, to answer your original question: Nope, no need to update BIOS as well.

I agree with your caution since you have no flaws to report, no reason to stir the waters.

Make sure you get the correct driver that suites your unwise OS as well.

  • Where to find Lenovo power/energy management?

Yesterday, my new Y500 reminded me that I can extend my life of the battery by unloading it partially. Then I looked for the energy management program to do that and can't find it on the computer! I then downloaded from Lenovo and installed it, but still I can not find the program to load! I searched all the apps. In addition, the Windows power management system is active and seems to work very well.

    Robert

I don't know if this will help, but when I clicked on the battery and more selected "Power Options" then click on 'change the power plan settings' and then I went into "advanced power settings". There is a tab it for Lenovo Energy Management and you must click on "activate Lenovo Energy Management." Then it pops up.

  • How to disable Lenovo energy management

I have Vista Home Premium on my Y430. Once I disabled Lenovo Energy Management and used the Vista build-in power management. My impression was that the battery lasted longer when you use the build-in one than Lenovo Energy Management (4 hours from 3 hours in symmetric mode).

I activated there is Lenovo energy management. But now I don't remember how to turn it off. Does anyone know how to disable? Thank you very much.

I found a way to disable management of the energy of Lenovo using Windows Defender. Click 'Start'--> 'All programs', right click on "Windows Defender", select "run as Administrator". Click the 'tools' at the top of the window, and then click "Software Explorer". Click on 'Show for all users' in the lower left corner. In the "Category" list, select "startup programs". Select "Lenovo Battery Management Software VerX.X" on the left panel. At the bottom of the Panel, click the button 'Disable' (or 'Remove'). Lenovo Energy Management this will prevent to run the next time that you start your laptop.

To activate it, just follow the steps above and click 'Activate' to the last step. Or you can go to 'Control panel'--> 'Power Options'--> 'change plan settings'--> "Change power settings advanced"--> "Lenovo Energy Management" to enable it.

  • Lenovo Energy Management

I just bought 3 Y50-70 of lenovo laptops.

I got them all configured and I installed the managemnt energy on them as they will be connected more often than otherwise. He succeeded on 2 of them but 3 when I click on settings and then try to click Mode of Conservation on it does nothing, also once in the settings, I'm not able to click on any other menu or close the energy management.

I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and no change. Any other suggestions to resolbe this problem?

    Thank you!

I think I found the solution. Besides the tests I found that it worked on my administrator account, but not on account of my daugter. Even if I ran as administrator on his account.

Then, I created a new profile of the child and discovered that it works on the new profile of child very well. It seems that it is a matter of profile and just delete the current profile and redo. If it works when everything is done I'll update this post.

  • Lenovo Energy Management silent install

    Hello

I'm deploying Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro via sccm with drivers/software preloaded in the company. I am quite aware that this model is not ment for the company, but it is requirement.

For now the deployment looks good, except one software: Lenovo Energy Management 1.0.1.49.

    Link: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-2-pro-lenovo/download...
This software is installed correctly when I run the installer manually with double click, but refuses to work in silent mode or unattended. Public documents, unfortunately, is not available on the Lenovo drivers download pages.

I spent a lot of time looking for silent switch manually, but all without success. In the best scenario complete installation with the code output-3. I saw via procmon this real called 2 MSI (command lines are hidden) and perform additional configuration as installation drivers with dpinst, installation of the device through devcon, registration of dll and the calling application executables. For now, I just couldn't operate without initial installer.

I'm pretty sure that Lenovo factory this software is preinstalled on the PC with a sort of silent command. Is it possible that someone who closely works with OS preload Lenovo provides this command line silent for Lenovo Energy Management 1.0.1.49?

It may also be that another version is preinstalled when buildings of the factory, so yes, it would be nice to get that media.

    Thank you much in advance.

    Hello

Thanks for the response, but no need already.

I found another version of the management of the energy that was silent-installation capable and was incompatible with Yoga 2 Pro (no official compatibility in the documentation of the software however). This version has me led to the solution - he had Setup.iss file as well as initial setup.exe, which v.1.0.1.49 had no downloadable media.

So, to install v.1.0.1.49 of energy management that I had to run it with the r switch, get Setup.iss file in the %windir%\System32 folder and now it installs with Setup.exe /s/v/qn perfectly.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • No extraction of dust fan in Lenovo Energy Management

Hi, does anyone know why the dusting of fan option missing in energy management? It is longer supported Lenovo? I have the model Lenovo G580 20150. It was such a useful function.

No, it does not help. I found the solution, it is because Windows 8 - the new system is not yet compatible with some features of this program. This function returns all of a sudden and I changed the compatibility to run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7.

  • Lenovo Energy Management using the NVIDIA GPU

How can I disable lenovo energy management to use the nvidia gpu? At the time, lenovo energy management has not used the nvidia gpu. Thank you.

Already done with the problem. But my solution was however little stupid. I just used onekey recovery to return to the initial state and not to update my GeForce driver, now I use the stock 295.93 version.

    Lenovo U310 - i5 - 8 GB - 32 GB SSD - upgrade to W7 home premium to pro W8.1 pro W8

The upgrade of W8 pro W8.1 pro works smoothly, until I restarted Windows:

I get the message pop up every time you start that Lenovo Energy Management has compatibility problems.

  • bugs of energy management

I get the following error when I shut down or restart the computer after disabling "Smart CPU for energy savings" in power management settings:

    Energy Management.exe - Application error

The instruction at 0 x 80001700 referenced memory at 0 x 80001700. The memory could not be written.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

After the restart, CPU smart energy saving option is always enabled, so I can't disable the cpu smart energy saving option.

How to disable this setting permanently?

I have a G470 with Windows 7 64 bit with the latest drivers and BIOS (version numbers are still larger than those available on the site consumersupport)

    PS.

I want to disable Smart CPU to save energy because of another bug that I confirmed was caused by this setting: programs would become numb after 3 minutes of inactivity (not to move the mouse or type anything). For example, itunes would cease all of a sudden play in the middle of a song. Firefox (or any other open program) seems to hang when I return to my laptop after having been away. These programs would meet again after a long time painfully. All that I can do is just move my windows mouse and switch to other programs no longer responds.

The problem disappeared after I turned off smart power saving CPU and also smart drive to save energy. For the weeks everything worked properly. but again, I encountered this problem of the "lack of response after minutes of inactivity" and I discovered that the setting "Smart energy saving CPU" was given to zero/re-enabled and I could turn it off any more.

Help, please. I need a fix for one of the two mentioned bugs.

    Thank you.

You can uninstall the existing power management software and install the previous version software.

Download the software from a previous version of the cited web link below.

Hope, it will solve your problem.

  • Yoga 500 - missing in the download section power management software

My Yoga 500-ACL is formatted empty (no recovery partition) and with an installation clean windows 8.1, which is excellent.

However, the battery charge threshold is blocked to sixty percent and I don't see that the power management software is available in the section download to support.lenovo

    http://support.Lenovo.com/no/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/Yoga-series/Yoga-500-14acl?tabname=Dow...

It would be great if the power management software would be made available or any other solution is at hand. Preinstalled software, isn't supposed to be available online? Thanks in advance for help or advice.

Of course, should you add it. This software will allow you to change the threshold of battery charge on 500 of Yoga
