Lenovo X200T: Issue of reboot

A few questions:

1. I got a new X200T but power cord does not fit snugly in the diet. It seems that the power supply cord must plug all the way into the adapter, but I still see part of the notch on the visible power cord and no inside the adapter. The part of the plug that goes in the tablet of the adapter is visible and does not fully (i.e. a part of the metal is folded down). This is how the parts were designed or is it a defective power adapter and cord combo? The part number for the adapter is 42T 4418 and cord T 42, 5008. The cord/adapter is twofold.

2. I would like to have an external drive for playback of CD/DVD and install the software. Is there a certain type of player, that I need to get what is compatible or can I get any player (of course, I wish a cheaper car)? Basically, what I'm asking, is if I can plug a certain disk in the usb slot is that it guaranteed?

Thank you

For two pins adapter, yes the cord does not fully going into the adapter, it's just the way it was designed, but it will not affect performance or safety.

The power plug is not completely plugged into the laptop power input jack, there are always about 2-3 mm visible.

You can use any drive optical usb.

Does anyone on this forum has Ericsson F3507G module 3G with Lenovo X200t and Windows 7 Ultimate edition on board? How do you configure you 3G connection?

I have install Lenovo Mobile Broadband Connection Manager for Windows 7, it installed suceccsfully, I see it on Control Panel/Unnistall program.

But where can I find it? I can't find any application with name like that!

I'm going to "Set up a dial-up access", choose my 3G modem, in the 'Dial-up phone number' field set * 99 # and tap on connect, and I have the error message 768 or something, I don't remember. What I am doing wrong?

I also have ubuntu on this laptop, and there, everything works perfectly.

    I'm confused

    Please help me

That "Lenovo Mobile Broadband Connection Manager" you have installed? There is Lenovo Mobile Broadband Activation - unnecessary upplication for type UMTS and ThinkVantage Access Connections, the Manager of real networks. I hope that you have installed a 2nd.

Do you think your modem associated with items in the Device Manager (I want to say NIC)?

OK, first you must turn on the 3g radio using a combination of keys (Fn + F5 for example on my x 220). Look at keyboard or manual.

Launch access connections, make the connection profile for connection 3 g, type APN for your carrier. In this case, you will not use modem but the NIC to wide band.

But win 7 has a native support for connection mobile broadband. Watch the task bar, discover an icon with white bars, which open and discover your carrier network, right click mouse, options, profile, type AFN. To connect.

The only weakness of the built-in Manager is unable to change the type of network, GPRS or 3 G, that type will be in automatic mode if you can only change by another tool. AC does.

  • Lenovo K900 issues network (not available)

I have a smartphone Lenovo K900, purchased in Jan 14. Recently, it has developed a problem where, if someone calls me, they get a reply not accessible. After a few hours, I get messages I have xx missed of all who have tried to call. If I reboot my phone, it works very well for a while, and then the same problem occurs. I don't want to keep restarting my phone to fix this problem (even restart does not work sometimes). Is this a known problem with this model? How can I solve this problem?

Recently, I changed my SIM card and that solved the problem. My SIM card was apparently 32K, which was told is old technology. I bought a 64 K SIM and have no problems so far. Thanks for all the help anyway.

  • Lenovo Y400 issues, include freezing at startup, not closing, etc.

Hi, my name is Julian and I would appreciate much all the advice of someone who could help me with my computer problem. I had this Y400 about 3 to 4 months. I had a lot of problems with it recently. First whenever I start it after about a minute, it will freeze for a few minutes. It has also a problem down. The only way I can shut down is to use the power button, if I close it out normally the screen will just black but the backlight stays on. Also, if I stop if using the power button, when it lights up after that it will really take a lot of time in the loading screen (it comes before it freezes) and will always say 'Please wait '. I was told that the reason why ice is because of all of the lenovo stuff put on the computer opens at the beginning and it is too heavy for the hard drive. I then thought maybe I completelty uninstall and reinstall windows (I have windows 8) and return the computer to its 'factory settings' is an option in the General settings for the computer. But then I know not all the drivers I need to install and whatnot. I could really use some help to determine what is the right thing to do... I think I might have warranty on it so lenovo could just fix but I don't know. There are also a few pips miny and other problems such as overheating waaaaay to much when I'm not even done anything else than the departure upward and close the problems are the greatest. Yet once if someone doesn't bother me just spend a few minutes and just trying to help me that would be great. One last thing, it is that when I close the lid... it's actually a very big problem. When I close the lid, it will go to the as if its loading screen just turn on. And then the screen will turn blue and either ask to restart or shut down the computer or watch the Advanced... again please just take some time and try to help me, it is very appreciated, Julian

From what you say, I see you have a software problem. Simply reinstall the OS and install the proper drivers. The drivers are:

    (1) LAN

    (2) power Mangemnet

    (3) card reader

    Camera 4)

    (5) chipset

    (6) most recent graphics NVIDIA driver

    (7) audio

    Management parts 8)

    (9) Bluetooth

Here is the link to the driver download page. (Note: do not install the drivers mentioned above)

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_IN/downloads/default.page?

Installation of these drivers are essential. However, if you want intsaller others, then you can but they only make your system slow. I say this from personal experience.

It would be good, if you create a partition. This will ensure that you don't lose all the data while reinstalling windows the next time.

Don't worry it will be all good.

  • Lenovo IdeaCentre 700 suddenly stops

I've only had the AIO for about 3 weeks and about half a dozen times during this period, he just switched off and then restarted in the middle of using it. It's happened just browsing, playing a game online and even work in offline mode on a worksheet. When he did today, I opened the Lenovo companion app when rebooting and noticed the last time he made an analysis of the system update was two minutes ago, everything when he died. Is it possible that he was the cause? Others see the same question? If this is the problem, what can I do? Rather not to return, but I shouldn't be having issues like this with a 3 - week old machine. Everything else with it seems fine.

  • 6910p hang/freeze on the screen of the POST to the linux reboot.

Hello, I'm new here, with a 6910p and a very specific question that's bugging me.

Laptop was purchased refurbished a few days with Windows 7 and works very well.

Almost immediately, I have installed Linux, try OpenSUSE, Ubuntu and Debian so far, and if I issue a reboot it always freezes at the POSITION screen, the one with the HP logo next. Stop down and cold boot however still works perfectly.

Restart the work as expected to Win XP, Vista and 7, but not Linux. Tried three different internal hard drives, flashed the BIOS six or seven times of XP and Vista (e.17 and F.19 versions alternating), and what annoys me more, is that I can't find an option in the BIOS to disable the HP splash screen and more I can not turn it off, I'm sure he's hiding vital information that lead to my success. I'm bugged.

I would like to know if you have any idea about this problem, I think if maybe that linux is not giving enough time for a device to stop and restart, or something on this line, but the truth is that I am lost on the high seas, and I fear that it might be a symptom of a defective hardware. Also give up on linux would be a bad option, because I need the multi-user environment, multilingual and virtually every machine other that I'm running a linux distribution.

And if you know how to remove the HP logo at the position screen, I would be grateful, it is possible on my pavilion desktop computer, but I can't find the same option in the BIOS of the 6910p.

    Lots of love

    Michael

Edit 1: Disable the BIOS flash card reader solved the problem. Now on to understand what Windows and Linux is not to make it work without restart was. Guess I still need to post on this forum to group ideas

Edit 2: card reader Flash active and empty does not restart. Compatible with a card inside will be bork. It's so much easier when you know where to look. Namely etc etc...

This mark as resolved: reboot did wait a few seconds so that everything has shut down, and discovered that there is no way to disable the HP logo at another startup then by modding the BIOS.

  • When you open the laptop, there is a beep noise

    Hello

When I open my Lenovo X200t when it is in hibernation/standby, beep loud and as little as it may seem, it causes disturbances in time if not unnecessary.  I realize that it will not issue when the volume on the laptop is on mute or 0%, but y at - it another way, in which it will not beep?

If you are not familiar with it, the sound signal also appears when the battery level is critical and four beeps.

Please tell me that there is a way to turn it off!

    Thank you

    MoeKara

You can disable it in the bios. F1 at the start screen, alarm, config, control, disable beep.  You can also disable the low battery alarm if you want from there.

  • SSD disappeared after update

    Hi people,

I just did the last update of El Capitan on my Mac Mini 2011, 10.11.6, as well as the removal of Team Viewer (after the recent security issues) and reboot, the OS disk just disappeared.

It has 2 drives, a Samsung SSD 840 and 2 TB HDD; the SSD is the startup disk.

I started from a SD card and can not see the SSD drive in disk utility, nor I see the car at all from another Mac so start the Mini into disk mode target (also using disk utility). The regular reader of 2 TB appears in each case.

    Any suggestions on next steps?

    Thank you!

Update: I tried another drive in the same Bay, and it works, so the Board and wiring are OK. Tried the SSD again after re - install and still nothing. Looks like the SSD is dead unless anyone can offer something different...

  • Y510p boot from USB

If my hard drive is dead and I replaced it. Now, I came to the conclusion that my Windows 8 product key is encrypted in the BIOS, so all I need to do is to use the recovery to do a clean install. But given that the laptop came with installed I have no recovery disks. I used the media creation tool to create a boot USB device but when I plugged in USB it just sits at the lenovo screen and then reboots. It is a FAT32 USB key, so this isn't the problem. Even if I activate the button One Recoery, while USB is plugged into the same thing happens, but if I press on it, when it is not plugged, it's normal. What should I do to start from a USB?

I think that I fixed it. By downloading the media tool create .iso image file and put it on a usb key with RUFUS seemed to work. I booted from the legacy and USB is NTFS.

  • K410 - SSD installation procedure

I have a Lenovo k410 originally shipped with Windows 8.0 Home. I have upgraded to Windows Professional 8.0. Then installed Windows 8.1.

Now, I need to create a USB installation media player so I can run a repair. I don't want to run a recovery, reset or refresh it. I need to do a repair.

Microsoft said that Lenovo can issue a product key Windows 8.1.

Note: I used a program to get the product key Windows 8.0 original but not what I need. I also have the product key Windows Professional 8.0 but not what I need.

How can I get the product key Windows 8.1?

Once Windows is installed on your computer, you can activate your Windows using your own genuine product key Windows 8 by going to system properties and clicking on the change product key option. When a smart card is inserted, you are able to see your smart card reader in Device Manager. When you remove your card chip, the chip card reader disappears in Device Manager. Is it possible to always keep the smart card reader attached?

According to the BIOS version (F.22) will there is a fix where you can set the power state of the smart card reader:

'- Fixes an issue where the setup of BIOS (F10) does not display the power of smart card Options once the system is restarted. -Fixes an issue where rebooting the system (reboot) is slow after the modem is turned off in the configuration of the BIOS (F10). »

  • Internet speed when opening problem

    Hello

A month ago I bought a new laptop HP PAVILION 15-P020ND.

Everything worked well I got a fast internet connection after some time using it I closed it so happened in sleep mode.

Later, when I opened it once again and I wanted to download, my internet connection was terrible and sometimes it stopped connecting. I did some research but could not find anything about it.

So I decided to download the latest version of the driver for the Realtek RTL8723BE. I installed the driver and I got my internet speed full again. (found here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=nl&lc=nl&dlc=nl&softwareitem=ob-132572-1...

But evertime I close and goes into sleep mode the internet speed is terrible the next time I open it a connection slow link

When I install the driver again he's going fast Fast Link Connection

Hope someone can help me with this problem.

I think I solved it. I downloaded the driver realtek on the lenovo site installed and reboot. I checked the speed of connection and it was a good connection then better before. I put in sleep mode a couple of times and he will wake up again and I've always had a perfect connection.

    So it's resolved.

Sorry for these questions, updates team still working on getting all the updates that are released for new systems like X 230...

I do not recommend installation RapidBoot shield unless you have personally tested and determined that it makes your boot faster image and does not cause side effects.

Intel USB 3.0 has addictive bad RapidBoot shield, the team working on the removal of the dependence.  If you use ThinInstaller, you can find a way to remove the dependency from the XML yourself.
