Lenovo Z565 fan die

Hello

I had my for at least a year, maybe 2 Z565 4311. Spontaneously, the fan died a few weeks ago but kicks back on shortly after and has worked little since then, but not really. It runs, it usually makes a lot of noise and he's usually pretty bad cooling system

I downloaded the Z560/Z565 Hardware Maintenance Manual with the intention of simply replacing the fan, but he wanted to check first. Should I try before you go out and buy a replacement part?

Thanks for your time, help is appreciated.

Hello
Exactly, what you've interpreted is quite right. One that ends with UMA is the integrated graphics card and say this is for systems equipped with a discreet (Nvidia or AMD) graphics card

  • Lenovo T530 "Fan Error".

2 days ago I started getting the error message "Fan Error" after starting my computer (T530). Before it gives me the message there is a beeping noise hard. I'm going back to school soon and I hope that there is a way to fix it myself without having to buy a new fan. I'm really bad with running on the computers. I am wonderig if I have to clean the dust out of it, or shift the fan or something like that. Hope there is a way to have a quick solution. Thank you all.

You can try to clean the dust out of the vents and the fan blades. You can also try lubrication of the bearings of fan with a very light oil. That could revive the fan enough to stop "Fan Error" messages for a while. It was enough to revive the fan on my T430s a few months ago, when I'm "Fan Errors" on a trip.

However as richk says, you really should get a new fan, especially if the T530 is still under warranty. Your fan is very likely to fail again. So I would say do you now before you go back to school instead of have to do with a date school hanging over your head.

  • Lenovo Y460 fan does not

    Hi guys,.

So I just got my new laptop about a week before, on 18 October.

I have RealTemp running all the time, and my idle temp CPU is around 50. But today, I noticed it was around 80 and not even when running intensive programs. I realized that the fan was not working. So I installed SpeedFan. It has not detected fan. I couldn't find the fan settings in the BIOS. Help please? I won't have my laptop that works more because I don't want to damage overheating...

So is this a hardware problem, and I just received a faulty laptop, or is it a software problem (only thing I installed just before that to happen was Titan Quest, just bought the steam). I really doubt that installing a game would have an impact on my fan.

    Any ideas?

So I'm sending you this back to get fixed...-_-so angry... It's a computer brand new with questions.

  • Lenovo Z500 fan only runs on high speed

    Hello.

Recently, I removed the lid of my laptop to clean my fan and to change the thermal paste on the proc and video. But when I replaced everything back and booted up the laptop, my fan only works on speed continuously. No rattling, it works just like my proc is very responsible, but no hot wind, cold. I checked the temperature in the Speedfan program and everything seems to be ok, but I noticed that there is no fan detected. Same thing, I saw in Everest. I tried to watch BIOS, but there is nothing in the fan or temperature associated (I change my bios there is a moment so my F1 - F12 keys would swap with FN keys). And also, in the management of energy, I tried to remove the dust, but just ran fan as it removes dust every time, none of the changes, same high speed. I tried Driver Pack Solution, no results on the fan. Everything went very well before I cleaned it, I was just trying to make my computer train less.

Please help me, thanks in advance.

Alright, removed the lid once more and discovered that the fan wires melted because of the heat the tubes that will proc and the video, so the wire that controls the speed of the fan has been disconnected. Anyway, case closed, just need a new fan, will not appear anywhere it's for sale, but that is another issue for another day.

  • Lenovo 3000 N500 died (signs of life)

    Hello

    I have a Lenovo 3000 N500.

The days before the accident, I had a few blue screens. Due to some forum entries, blue screens messages seems to be related to a hardware error (RAM).

After a blue screen, I couldn't reboot the system. The startup Lenovo screen showed all the time. Then I removed the battery. Since then, the laptop is quite dead. There is absolutely no sign of life: no light shines, no response after pressing the button there.

Fortunately, I was able to get the laptop hard drive to back up my data.

I tried to exchange the RAM, but without success.

You have any other ideas I cound trying to save my laptop?

    Kind regards

    Bene

you have a serious problem with hard drive, ram, motherboard or graphics card.

you have a warranty? If so, I suggest you to contact lenovo support line and ship your laptop.

also, how long have you used the computer?

  • Fan died on HP 540n

HP doesn't have the part, and I can't understand this fan fits into the computer. Does anyone have a suggestion?  I looked in places like TigerDirect, but cannot know if one of them would hold.

Bev, the first thing you need to know is the size of the fan you need.  They are usually either 80mm (3.149 "), 92 (3.62") mm or 120 mm (4.72").  Then, you must know what type of connector is used.  Once you know these two things, you can contact Customer Service at the TigerDirect or Newegg for help.

  • Wiring and test of the Blackbird 002 video card fan

    I have a Blackbird 002 I bought directly from J & R.  Intel processor (i5 or i7), Vista 64-bit, dual NVIDIA 9800 GT cards.

It is a great machine for a few years, but after several sessions with torches recent I recently that I booted up and it entered into VGA mode with an error «could not load graphic drivers» Windows

I tried a clean install of NVIDIA driver but the same result on reboot; Mode VGA and no NVIDIA display options.

I think one of the 9800 GT cards is dead.  So I opened the case and noticed the top, main card has been connected to both the power supply and a smaller type of connection, 2 white square pins.  I deleted the SLI connector and the power of these two cards, one of them removed from their slots and put the card back in top housing of the SLI.  I started upward and the machine starts normally - no error only VGA, NVIDIA Control Panel with no SLI option (as expected b/c that the 'bad' card remained uninstalled).

Unfortunately with the single card installed the fan runs constantly and the card works extremely hot.  This happens without any games or from any application - simply slowed down, the fans run constantly and loudly.

    So I have two questions:

    (1) how determine if one of the fans in the case does not work properly?  I think this may have caused the first card to die and can be the cause of the card to run hot.  Looking for a way to review all case fans, check each working properly and troubleshoot as needed.

    (2) what is the additional connector to the first graphics card - connector 2 pin white square, and how to disconnect?  I have been unable to pull the connector of the card first, so it remains plugged in despite the fact that the card remains out of the slot.  I see a connection open white, small square on the map left, but I am unable to disconnect the dead card.  I think that it may also have something to do with the remaining card run hot, because it can be a power supply fan, that I am not aware.

I simply into a new map (thinking that the GeForce GTX 570) but I'm afraid that she also only will burn quickly if a case fan is dead or if the connection of the second, smaller remains plugged into dead cards.

    Any feedback is very appreciated.

two drivers of white pine is for sound hdmi so it is not necessary to be connected and can only be removed the pins on the map. 9800 gt cards run hot and the fan is cheesy on them. eVga precision tool allows you to monitor the time of the video card and adjust the fan speed. It is unlikely that one of the three fans died, but it's pretty easy to check the two top fans of the page and see if they are rotating. the third fan is left of the hard drives, so you'll have to see if this one works by removing some of the hard drive platters and watch. It feeds of cold air in the compartment of vga. You can also check the fan speed in the bios. I'd be surprised if you have a bad case fan. Here are the specs for the fans of the plant:

    Delta AFB1212LE - Ball fan DC 12V 0.14 has 1.68W 2000 RPM 71,27 CFM 32.5dB

  • Update for M9515y vid card

The fan died on the original video card, so I replaced it with an ENGT220, who, despite the increase in RAM, seems to be less than the 9600 GS for purposes of games.

What is the best video card can I put in my HP Pavilion m9515y without having to make any further changes?  Power supply 350W, single PCI-e slot, 64 bit, Win 7...

When you look at the picture of the motherboard in the link above, 1 x PCI-E slot below the PCI-E 16 x slot must be open so that a double wide video card fits no problem of width.  The double wide video card must only 1 PCI-E x 16 slot.

The NVIDIA GTX 460 is a reasonable choice without requiring a very large power supply.

CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W or the Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W are good choices.

Ago faster video, but heat maps must be considered a possible problem in the Cabinet of small enough HP Mini-Tower.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8-1114 Deskto: replacement motherboard on HP desktop PC

Given there are too many problems with the motherboard of Pegatron IPISB-CU (Carmel2) on a HP PC that is 4 years old as my blu - ray player and dvd player not working not both at the same time, the video card fan died won't spend countless hours searching the same replacement of a video card that will not play new games. Recent maps have new bios UEFI which are not compatible with the map of Pegatron that I and most of the companies do not have BIOS custom to make the card work with the motherboard. I thought about replacing the motherboard and try to push it another 2 years. However I have a few questions about this process.

First, WILL the Intel Intel Core i5 2400 processor currently on the HP PC will work with another different Board or is LOCKED to the current configuration of the motherboard and will not work with any replacement motherboard? How about the memory sticks? I know that Intel makes their products compatible with their own products and the upgrade/replacement by other non approved parts HP will not work with their products.

How will be my Windows 7 installation is affected by the replacement of motherboar? I have to do custom / clean install of Windows 7, or I'll still be able to use the Suite of recovery in the PC to re - install Windows 7?

I'm not planning to upgrade the power supply on the PC because I'm shopping for a low-power video (not the means.) map And I also know that if I update the motherboard, I know that I lose the wireless/Bluetooth card and the card reader because it has a secondary power supply that I did not see in any other configuration of the motherboard.

Or simply scrap system and start from scratch. I can't believe my $900 luck down the drain in less than 4 years.

Upon reflection, while I do not normally give replacement Advisor, these two motherboard will work with the CPU and the memory that is currently in your PC

    Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1

    ASUS P8H67-M LX

Being that they are not current models, so that he may be uneven buy locations.  I will leave that option open.  These form factors (case plug Assembly) is not compatible with the present case.   Check the mounting options in the current case vs buying a new case.

    Other issues, keep me posted.
