  As I understand it, the proxy service Extend isn't really proxy an actual call, but rather implements service supports (or more precisely, for the synchronous part) directly. Given that everything else in the proxy API is synchronous, it did not much sense to implement an asynchronous API just to support this feature.

  Some fear also that customers could easily overload the cluster by sending a large number of asynchronous requests, it was decided that only applications of synchronous call service is welcomed and supported by customers to extend.
