Libretto W100: Blio - wrong format & text software is not clear

Hello

I am trustworthy customer Toshiba because I think is fantastic closed and large producer electronics industry but I am very surprised when I ' ve bought model libretto W100 last week.

I tried to install * BLIO * SW for because I want to use this template as in dual mode ebook reader screen.
This new machine of philosophy that I think is right for this use, but I think there are a lot of problem to achieve success.

In this system in particular operations, I have seen that there are two essential problem;
-first of all, there is no presentation of good page on the double display mode format screen and
-Secondly I think that the font of the text is not clear like windows.

Thank you for your kind attention

Hello

In my view, the libretto W100 is a great device with the double 7 display. It can be used for different purposes, and not just for reading electronic books

However, I think there are different applcations on the market that can be used for reading electronic books and I think that comment is linked especially to the Blio software.

I can't say anything about this tool. I put t use it.
However, your opinion is very interesting. Thanks for sharing this in our community.

    Hello

    I just reinstalled the software on my Libretto W100 - 10 d, from the internal HARD disk recovery partition recovery procedure.

    After the intervention, I have a clean booklet; all works well, except my 3 G Module is not recognized: the SW of Wireless Manager is not installed, and the 3G module does not appear in Device Manager more!

    It seems that the 3G module is not installed! of course before the recovery procedure, it worked like a charm!

    I suspect something has disabled the 3G module (usually something similar happens in the BIOS...)

    Can someone help me so that the 3G module working in return?

    Of many tanks and best regards

    Hello

    Have you checked the settings in the BIOS?
    To be honest I'm not quite sure if BIOS contains separate power switch or option Wlan 3G but you must absolutely check it m.

    To access the BIOS press ESC and F1
    Where would the BIOS contains 3 G or Wlan option, make sure that this option is enabled.

    Then visit the Toshiba UE driver page and download and install the Ericsson 3 G driver
    This is the driver for the 3G module.

  • Libretto W100 Windows 10 - all features via 3rd party (instruction) applications

    Recently I was hunting for a UMPC to buy and who to is passed through a W100 on EBAY, and after a brief google I bought it immediately!

    Its an amazing device, but Windows 7 really does fall. It's slow, unwieldy, and honestly not too usable.

    However, Windows 10 is worlds apart when it comes to touch usability! Combine with Toshiba idea of the full screen keyboard and a virtual trackpad and the W100 a laptop full blown surprisingly usable. Win10 runs miles better than Win7, and things like scroll, zoom and pan is via texturing (like the iPad) so its smooth as!

  • Battery use very high libretto W100

    Hello

    I've lived in the last weeks that the beautiful new Libretto W100 is very hungry. Of course, it will use some, because he has a lot of power.

    For example: take notes during a meeting, 1.5 pages (A4 format, font 12), about. 50% of the time the screen, running course in Eco mode, killing 74% of the content of the battery.

    Apparently they didn't really the size down from Windows 7 for better integrated in the mobile world. It cannot have been the intention of the designers to have to carry this big power supply all the time.

    Someone at - it similar numbers (or other)?

    Kind regards

    You are right. Libretto W100 has a lot of power.

  • Look at a PDF output reports a wrong format

    Background:

    EBS11.5.10.2

    level migration from solaris to linux apps - requires new tech battery installation.

    Problem:

    PDF reports generated from a competing application do not have the correct format.  That is to say the newspaper is missing, boxes/column outlines are not print - only generic text output

    The selection of the printer is noprint

    On the solaris system source uses the noprint printer driver of hpl with arguments acroprint, which in turn call acroread - I think it's a method they use to convert pdf to postscript-oriented (I'm new to this system have therefore no history with her)

    I'm not sure what to do to get the correct visualization for PDF files with the new linux installation.   I tried different drivers for noprint, nothing has no effect.  I tried to reproduce the acroprint set-up... same result.  No matter what I change behind the scenes, the report view is exactly the same.  All the text and all the missing formatting.

    The report itself is configured to use the PDF_PORTRAIT style.  I had to create this style in the new system, it's apparently a style custom - it is the only component scripts acroprint/acroread.  I tried to imitate the configuration on Linux, but the old man has Acrobat 5.  Acrobat is currently not acorprint script - it was can be personalized? Not sure again.

    Bottom line, how can I get PDF to display as properly formatted?  I'm not printing, only look at one... so do not know if I need to set up printing from blocks just to see?

    I appreciate any help you can give. I have another similar thread... but I think I took it the wrong way, so I'll close this one.

    Thank you

    Lori

    The problem has been resolved by a copy of the report of the source - this resolved that the rep-1800 and formatting has been corrected.  Something must have happened to the file when the archive original was created to move the system.  Thanks for all your help!

  • Replace the string with the formatted text

    Hello all - I'm back to my beloved project...

    I want to replace a string by a TextSelction (formatted text) and began with the famous feature of Jang FindAndReplaceString.
    Since my replacement comes from another document (sourceDoc), I edited to targetDoc activeDoc and introduced a second document (sourceDoc).
    The replacePara actually comes from a stone where he had been placed to avoid switch backwards between the documents in a book (where to find and replace) and source documents. In another function, I learned that information on the table requires the sourceDoc must remain open.

    • Of course, everything works fine until I want to insert the replacelement:
      erase line 26 is the string
    • Given that I do not insert a string, I skip lines 28 and 29 and try try line 30
    • On line 30 DocumentSource is Document object and replacePare object TextSelection. However, sourceDoc.replacePara is not set and
    • (as a result?) line 31 past the current contents of the Clipboard.

    Of course, there is a fog around me... and I need some sunshine.

    function FindAndReplacePara (targetDoc, findString, sourceDoc, replacePara, loopMax) {
      var tr = new TextRange();
      var restoreTR, frame = 0, loopCounter = 0, replacementCounter = 0;
      var findParams = new PropVals();
      var firstPgf = targetDoc.MainFlowInDoc.FirstTextFrameInFlow.FirstPgf;

      tr.beg.obj = tr.end.obj = firstPgf;             //  set up the starting text range as the very beginning
      tr.beg.offset = tr.end.offset = 0;              // of the flow. We'll move straight from beginning to end.
      trSaved = tr                                    // to come back after work

      findParams = AllocatePropVals(2);

      findParams[0].propIdent.num = Constants.FS_FindText;
      findParams[0].propVal.valType = Constants.FT_String;
      findParams[0].propVal.sval = findString;

      findParams[1].propIdent.num = Constants.FS_FindCustomizationFlags;
      findParams[1].propVal.valType = Constants.FT_Integer;
      findParams[1].propVal.ival = Constants.FF_FIND_CONSIDER_CASE;

      FA_errno = Constants.FE_Success;                // errno global, to be used to track the progress of the find and replace
      tr = targetDoc.Find(tr.beg, findParams);        // and do an initial find to get started.

      while(FA_errno === Constants.FE_Success && loopCounter++ < 2*loopMax) { //find and replace loop as long as we keep finding
        targetDoc.TextSelection = tr;                 // set up the text range to clear the original text
        targetDoc.Clear(0);                           // clear it

    //    targetDoc.AddText(tr.beg, replacePara);       // insert the new text at the original beginning of the text range
    //    tr.beg.offset += replacePara.length;          //  lets jimmy the text range in memory to place it directly after
        targetDoc.TextSelection = sourceDoc.replacePara;        // paste the whole replacement paragraph
        targetDoc.Paste (0);                          // <-- Current contents of clipboard is pasted !!!!
        if(FA_errno === Constants.FE_Success) {       // increment our return counter
          replacementCounter++;
        }
        FA_errno = Constants.FE_Success;              // ...  find the next instance. We'll reset FA_errno again just in case
        tr = targetDoc.Find(tr.beg, findParams);      // something screwy happened while we were replacing text.
      }
      targetDoc.ScrollToText(trSaved);                // we're done. Restore the document to it's original area of display
      return replacementCounter;
    } // --- end FindAndReplacePara

    Hi Klaus,

    Thanks for the explanation. I remember something like that GetTabRange of the way back. You have been quite patient and persistent with this project, indeed.

    So, as we are dealing with ranges of text here, I think that the only simple approach is to perform a copy and paste. There is no way to save a 'formatted' in a variable. The only super precise way would be to get a data structure of each text range TextItems in the sourceDoc, then meticulously recreate every element of the targetDoc. It would be very complicated, I think, so copy and paste seems the most logical. I wonder, though, if Miss me something, because I think that maybe you would have tried already so yes (?)

    In any case, I would do something like that, from line 30 of your original code sample (code untested here):

    App. ActiveDoc = sourceDoc;

    sourceDoc.TextSelection = replacePara;

    sourceDoc.Copy (0);

    App. ActiveDoc = targetDoc;

    targetDoc.Paste (0);

    ... etc.

    Does make sense, or am I barking the wrong tree, as they say?

    Thank you. Ken [[email protected]]

    I doubt that this has nothing to do with your problem sending.

    Used as a plain text email. Some users prefer the plain text and use nothing else.

    Most users expect to be able to use the fonts, the colors, the font styles (bold, italic, underlined) and to be able to insert images and other graphic elements. To do this, you must use the HTML.

    To avoid annoying the first group, you can add to your address book and set their preference for plain text, on a whim of a base.

    If, say, in your workplace, it is planned to use signatures fantasies with pictures, or messages are required to comply with the internal rules regarding fonts or layout, then all related work email will need to use HTML. So you could add to your field of work (the part of the e-mail to the right of the symbol @) to the area of the HTML fields in the dialogue you have shown above. And you would probably add domains customers and suppliers too, since all your messages that will also be required to use your formal rules.

  • Will there be a Libretto W100 with Haswell of Intel CPU?

    I'm in love with my Libretto w100.
    I upgraded to 256 GB.

    Now, it takes an upgrade to Haswell.

    This would solve 2 main criticisms:

    -battery life
    -noise because of heating.

    A booklet with Haswell would be the best computer in the world.

    You are just gerdich
    The Libretto W100 was truly a great unit it s a little bit older, but so far the two screens and virtual touch keyboard are futuristic piece of hardware.

    However, given that the serial number of the unit is already suspended, I think n new t processors will be built in the W100.
