  as you probably know, the license of endpoint vShield is now includede in all editions of vSphere 5.1 and kits (besides essentials).

  I am about to install Trend Micro deep Security on a vSphere installation 5.0. Now someone if you must upgrade to vSphere 5.1 to have vShield endpoint licenses available or if you can stay on 5.0?

  My problem is that TrendMicro Deep Security 9.0 (which supports vSphere 5.1) is not yet published. Deep Security 8.0 doesn't support vSphere 5.1 - only vSphere 5.0.

• Cisco DX80 Microphone Skype for business

  I am facing a problem with a Cisco DX80 model. The device is registered to a CUCM.

  The problem is the microphone when you use Skype for business. Please see the attached picture.

  In the settings for the Skype for business, I can choose the DX80 as speaker and ringtone, but there is no entry for the DX80 microphone like the one for the laptop itself. Like the screen DX80 is also used as control for the laptop off course gives a poor sound quality to the listener. Now, I would like to have the Skype to use the construction of microphones in to the DX80. But it seems not to be possible. We use THIS software for the endpoints DX80.
  I tried to make calls using the DX80 as videoconferencing unit to another system of videoconf Cisco test and here we have no problem with the microphone / sound of the system.
  Of course, the problem is that the microphone can not be chosen in the settings of the Skype for business. I guess it must be possible?

  When you have a laptop connected to the DX80 or any end point of telepresence, you can use it as an additional monitor and speaker, the microphone is not connected, and cannot be used with the computer.

  Hi guys, I'm confused about ISE licensing. We want most of the elements, including cable, wireless, VPN, guests, profiling, posture etc.

  If a seller listed on base + licenses apex endpoint (anyconnect) and they say that we will cover.

  Is this right since the licenses page suggests that we need much more than that?

  While you can technically run a deployment ISE with only Base and Apex (and AnyConnect Apex if you do not use Aboriginal applicants) licenses, you usually need more licenses too if you plan to use the services it provides (including profiling).

  You also need the line items for the servers themselves - if device or VM.

• HostsCan features available with Essentials license?

  I know that the features more advanced and sanitation features require premium and licenses advanced endpoint assessment, but that's more than you can do to check only "approved" workstations to authenticate successfully through the ASA using only the essential more basic licenses?

  I have heard some say that you can't do anything without the upgrade for licenses with supplement.

  I thought you're supposed to be able to screen, existence of files expected registry keys and check the processes running that software required would use even with the base hostscan.

  If we can at least do that, instead of directly check for antivirus with an advanced hostscan, couldn't at least check us the existence of files that the certified anti-virus products must have to function and the required antivirus processes are actively running and also check the registry keys related to membership in the trusted domain to active directory are present?

  These basic checks would not prove that the AV is up to date, but it would at least rule out personal PCs to the user randomly they installed somehow the AnyConnect client on these computers unauthorzed because wouldn't have anti-virus companies installed at all the and and are not members of one of our areas.

  Is this possible with the basic essentials of license?

  Nothing another useful that can be done to screen computers connection without upgrading the license?

  Tap 10 includes POE as Touch 8 injector?

  If this isn't the case, when we use 10 touch with the SX20 and there is no switch POE, CTS-POE-NIJ is necessary, I guess.

  But we can control CTS-POE-NIJ separately on CCW, so if you forget to order CTS-POE-NIJ with SX20, what can we do?

  None of the documents I've seen says that the PoE injector comes with the Touch 10.  Because they were originally designed for the MX series include the port 10/100 PoE to connect to and the SX10 compatibility and SX20 has been a recent addition of compatibility (in TC7.2 +), I guess that if you ordered one, it would not come with the PoE injector.

  The only documentation of note that I found (the SX80 administrator guide) says that there need to be a Midspan PoE injector, or to power it with a PoE switch.  So, any 802.3af injector that works with Touch 8 should also work fine for 10 touch.  (And Yes, a quick glance at the specifications, the device of binding TP that you linked seems to be a device that would work).

  You can probably order the good injector PoE of CIsco on CCW, you just find the correct part number high range - similar to the additional licenses for endpoints - these can be a little hard to find if you don't know the right of departure (and, no, I don't know where to find the PoE injector but maybe someone else can help).

  Otherwise, you can wait a few months and you will be able to pair it directly via the USB port (the TC7.3 release notes: "A Cisco adapter USB-to-Ethernet brand will be available in March 2015").

  ASA reports the Type of Client like Windows operating system. Is it possible to get more detailed information?

  I don't think you can with AnyConnect Essentials.

  You must have AnyConnect Premium more license Advanced Endpoint Assessment to check the version of the client operating system. If you don't already have that, however, it would be a terrible expensive buy just for that purpose.

  It is also available if you use ISE (license Apex) as your AAA server and have a policy of posturing to evaluate the customer.

  In myVMware, I have a license key for vShield Endpoint 5 and if I go to my downloads option I get is to vShield Manager 5.0.2 which is pretty old now. What I read vShield Manager is now part of vCloud Networking & Security, so I downloaded the latest version of this but I am unable to license it.

  OK, this will work without problem.

  "vCloud network and security (POSSIBLE)" is just the new term umbrella for what used to be called subsequently vShield and in this context, it refers only to the virtual appliance of vShield Manager.

• Invalid endpoint vShiled license

  Hi all, this is my first post ...

  I hava a question and hope someone has solved a similar problem. I think that the solution is simple, but I can't understand it.

  I've set up a small test environment:

  1 host ESXi 4.1

  1 windows VM 2003 std

  1 VM Win2008r2

  1 vShield virtual appliance manager 4.1

  1 deep Security Virtual appliance (disabled for the moment)

  The target is stable Trend Micro deep security before implementing it in the production servers and verify the impact in a structure running.

  I have installed on the client machine to Win2008 vsphere, vcenter and registered vshield plugin successfully, but tab vshield-> status of endpoint that don't, I see that it is disabled because no license is present.

  Well, I have the licenses that will be used in the production environment, but when I try to assign in the configuration already tab-> features-> edit-> license key I get the error "invalid license key: not found license file.

  Anyone have / solved a similar problem?

  In my setup, this error is thrown when I get license wrong / incorrect.

  If the license is correct--> the license details are shown as product, ability, etc. Expires. See the screenshot below.

  Close on my device ios app can't find my DX80.   Must I activate proximity on the DX80?  How and where?

  Proximity was available in one of the earlier software releases on the DX80, but was deleted due to privacy as if you were using the DX80 as PC monitor, someone connected via the proximity of your endpoint can see what you were doing on the PC.  For this reason, the proximity on the DX80 function has been disabled in the current versions of software.  A later version can re-enable this functionality with additional security around its use.

  Can someone explain to me how it works?

  I got a quote for an ASA5515-X-K9 previously with 50 premium SSL VPN licenses, but now I'm looking at the ASA5515-FPWR-k9, I can't work on the right option. Later that I got for 50 licenses AnyConnect more seems to be 10 times cheaper? Surely, it can't be the same thing?

  Most of old roughly equate with the new more licenses (with no separate required Mobile license) and is generally sold as a term-based perpetual license vs.

  The premium of the old maps to the Apex (no separate assessment Endpoint advanced required). It is sold only focused on the term (1, 3 or 5 years).
