  Except, that is, Toshiba (citing the manual) say: "at least once a month, run the computer on battery power until the battery is completely discharged, then discharge the battery."

  I found the problem.  The new installation of BlackBerry Protect caused the time and date and other above disappearing icons.  I have since deleted the application and everything was restored.

  From your home screen, go to Options > device > application management.  At the top, make sure that the tab is 'CPU '.  That displays all the processes running on your phone.  You can see this screen that process might need to be looked at.

  I had this problem too. I went into settings > battery and checked my battery usage and fixed applications with a background activity that was it drains. But it's still pretty dark. I had to leave my phone mode low power just to prevent it from falling down for like 60% after only being on 3 hours.

  Well, it's not easy to say the exactly battery working time, because it depends on the use of the laptop. As far as I know that it s about 3 hours. But if you play games or watch DVDs on the life expectancy of the battery unit is shorter than if you use the laptop with office applications. In addition, you can set different modes in the power management utility.
  This option can affect the battery life.

  But I think that the battery has a malfunction in your case. It s not a problem if the battery performance goes to 50% and then finished in a few minutes.
  I suggest you contact the ASP. You may need to replace the battery.

  I bought my laptop a year ago and never got more than a couple hours my battery. I bought a battery backup and it's even worse maybe (an hour?). I've seen where some talked about resetting or to recalibrate the battery and I'm not sure how to do on the 570. If not, anyone know where I can get a long battery life for this laptop?

  to reset please first remove the battery and charge it again to make sure that it is firmly connected.

  Charge the battery to 100% full, then use your V570 on battery only until 10 to 15% batt power is left.

  Stop then restart and immediately press the F2 key and hold until you see the first screen of the BIOS.

  Now let V570 slowed down until the battery is empty and the laptop turns off by itself.

  This will create a reference of empty battery for the control circuits.

  Plug then the charger for a few hours, then start and make sure you fully 100% of charge batt.

  Then again run the laptop on battery only and I hope that you will get 2-3 hours of the lamp

  until the low battery warning appears.
