Ligatures of abandonment when ID CS3 printing on a printer of the PS3

Just got a new Dell 5110cn and this problem is driving me crazy.

InDesign CS3, Vista 64-bit. Use the PS3 for the 5110cn driver, not the driver PCL.

I disabled the device font substitution in the pilot. I entered in the table of substitution of fonts and put all "do not substitute".

When I print directly from ID CS3, ligatures "fi" in words like "certificate" or "check" abandon.

The policy in question is 'Times '.

If I export the document to PDF, ligatures discovered very well and print very well from the PDF file.

Illustrator EPS files created with the word "certificate" which are then deposited in ID CS3 print correctly when direct printing.

I can print from MS Word documents that contain the word 'certificate' both directly to the printer and those print very well (but as far as I know, Word is not using the same method of ligation).

While this is a new printer, the behavior apears to be isolated to InDesign (print directly from Adobe Illustrator is very good as well).

What gives?

Have you checked the box download PPD fonts in the print dialog box?

    Hello

I've recently updated form Windows XP to WINDOWS 7, then to Windows Pro 10. I have HP lasejet 1300 printer. It worked fine with WINDOWS XP. I had the problem of printing when I got Windos 7, but it was resolved by installing with force provided for XP rather than WIndows 7 driver.

Now, after upgrading to WINDOWS 10, I am unable to print, even if windows has automatically identified and installed a HP Laserjet 1300 PCL 6 printer.

I tried to update the driver to download from the HP site. But without success in printing.

my printer is not on my list of programs, so I can't open it to access the features. I have a dell 964 printer. I tried to reinstall the software from the disc, but nothing helped. The printer works when I select print in the toolbar, but cannot scan.

  • Illustrator CS3 - Print - output - allow me to select color separations

    Hello

I'm printing for the first time.  The process of preparing should be really simple right?  Separate the layers of color, using Illustrator, then print each layer on transparent sheets.  Well, I'm about to lose my mind.

The image is CMYK, it is a unique spot color (I think) which is red and the contours are black.  The printer is a Canon ix6500.

I can't separate the colors in Illustrator CS3?  Why?  When you select Print > output > Mode > it won't allow me to select the halftone colors.

I tried to solve this problem by selecting the printer > Adobe Postscript and PPD > Canon ix6500 series.  It allows me to select the colors dithered, but then it will not print, it only saves it in PDF format and print such what.

Help, please!  Any advice would be appreciated!  I'm going out of my mind here!

    Hey everybody!

I found the solution! So here are the steps, I hope people out there could benefit from this :-)

This is what worked for me using a Mac and a non-postscript (Canon iX6540), Illustrator CS6 printer, PostScript known as Scribus downloaded software.  My drawing was created in Illustrator and all colors have been Pantone solid coated spot colors.

These are the specifications that must be selected in the print dialog box:

    General

    • Predefined print: custom
    • Printer: Adobe PostScript file
    • PPD: Lisanet PDFwriter

    Output

    • Mode: Separations (host-based)
    • Ink Options panel can present spot colors that appear in your design.

Then you save it :-)  This will save as a PostScript file.  To open it, you will need a software PostScript.  One who seems to have done the trick is to Scribus.

Thanks for any help at all!  Entry everyone ends by helped me to find the solution!

  • Photoshop CS3 Prints 'dotty '.

    Hello

When I print from photoshop, the image is very "dotty". As it looks like just a bunch of dots form the images instead of a solid color. I use Photoshop CS3 and I print on a HP LaserJet printer.

I print on the Laser Jet Black and white today while testing before you print it to a printer different color. (I don't want to waste color ink)

Is this something with the print in Photoshop settings? What is my b & w printer? Will it be the same with a color printer?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Nicholas

Well, let's look at this in Overview: you are hoping to get a level of smooth gray with a printer can print only black spots (or), and to have the points down in profiles in order to create shades of gray...   Modern photo printers set points of ink at the sub-micron levels (e.g., well over 1000 dpi).  My old HP 932C inkjet is 1200 x 2400 dpi.

You see better/more smooth photo printing to this printer laser with other applications?  Some printers don't do good photos.

Maybe you should try just one color on this other color printer printing?  The printer settings have little to do with each other.

  • 28 Firefox crashes when I try to print to the printer, Acrobat PDF

    Hi all!

I observed a problem when I try to print a Web page in Firefox v28 using the printer of PDF Acrobat (Acrobat Pro 9.5.5) installed on a Virtual Machine (VMware View 5.2) with Windows 7 64 bit. Print dialog box crashes (no response) after the pdf dialog box "Save as." Then I have to force Firefox to close, and subsequently an Acrobat PDF conversion dialog box appears with the progress bar has stopped in the middle. I must also close it afterwards.

The other programs (Office, IE, Notepad...) are able to print through the PDF printer without problem. The problem appeared after the automatic update of Firefox v28, since when I downgrade to Firefox v26 the problem disappears.

I checked a setup similar to a physical computer (W7 64 bit, Acrobat Pro 9.5.5, v28 of Firefox), and everything works fine, so I think it's a change that's happened in Firefox v28 who has a problem with the configuration of the VM. I also tried to change the Firefox profile, reset Firefox and reset the print settings and reinstall Acrobat. No luck.

I would like to know if anyone knows some changes in Firefox v28 printing or related to any service or update that may have a problem in the virtual machine.

    Any help is welcome!

    Thank you!

I just try with Firefox 29 in the same virtual machine, and it works perfectly, so I guess that is a bug in version 28.

  • DeskJet 5500: When the printer uses the 57 cartridge?

I thank very you much for your reply to my last post. Makes perfect sense.

I'm doing a huge amount of B & W / grey scale printing; I use 56 about two cartridges a week and I reload them successfully for a few tens of cycles each.

My 57 cartridges also mpty very frequently while I print almost any color - the only color is perhaps a small logo on the page.

I tried to use the gray filter in Macintosh 10.4.11 system to send a grayscale image to the printer, but the 57 cartridge still empty quickly, even if the printed color is negligible.

If the page still contains the least amount of color, 57 cartridge automatically prints the whole page, or the cartridge 56 prints black and the 57 print the little bit of color?

If the 57 prints the whole page if it contains ANY color, is there anything I can do in the impression of New York to get the printer to use the cartridge 56 instead? I took to remove the cartridge 57, but when I put again, the printer goes through the cycle of test page, I want to avoid if I can.

Thanlk in advance for your help.  I can't tell you how much it means for a user that a knowledgeable HP employee has actually answered questions through this forum. Other companies to let users themselves, often to hang in the wind without usable responses.

Many use printers, not only HP, so-called 'underprinting' this is the pose of an ink of color on the page before the black ink.  Essentially, it is a primer for the paper.  The color dries quickly and is a base for black ink, allowing it to dry and cure without spreading out on the page.  If you have already printed with the cartridges out of alignment and saw a blue or magenta shadow to your text, you see the underprinting.  That's why, when the same printing black text, the printer uses a color ink.

This printer is able to print reserve mode, which means it can print with 1 single cartridge installed.  The printing speed may be slower, but it's an easy way to make sure you are not using any color.  For reserve mode, remove the cartridge you want to use.  (Find a hermetic place to store this vertical cartridge with the nozzles pointing down as it is when it is installed in the printer, or it will dry out and become useless!)  To leave the reserve mode, put a good cart in the empty slot.

  • Firefox will not print on my HP PSC 750 printer and loses all formatting when you try to print to the printer Brother HL-5240

I have no problem with one of my printers when printing 11.7 before or IE 6.0.2800.1106 but cannot print from Firefox 3.6.13 (or earlier).
When you try to print to the HP PSC 750 inkjet printer, a "Print" dialog box appears, showing the title: xyz and a progress meter showing 100%, but it's be covered almost immediately by a second dialog box stating "an unknown error has occurred while printing" and, even if the continuous printer saying 'impression', no printing is taking place.

When you try to print to the Brother HL-5240 laser printer, printing will take place, but all formatting is lost and what comes out is a block of text unintelligible running.

What can / should I do to get Firefox to print correctly on my two printers?

    1. print.print_printer reappears after printing something. This pref is the last printer used, so when you reset the prefs it does not appear until you print something.

    2. that your problem with printer HP reappeared quickly, try a new profile.

    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows

    3. with regard to the preferences for the old printers, if reset you these Pref they don't come back (assuming that you do not select accidentally printers or printer drivers are uninstalled).

  • When I start to type a destination to search how to stop unwanted suggestions printed under the box

When I type in a search destination, even the first letter, I printed under the destination application box search a list of destinations that I called and visited in the past which begin with this destination filled even request letter or a part. I find this annoying and want to stop it. How to do this please.

Theses are stored in AutoComplete forms, to prevent this you can disable the AutoComplete formula, for details, see section of control if Firefox automatically fills in forms .

Another possibility, this could be the search suggestions feature. To activate that power off, do a right-click on the search bar and deselect the setting to "Show Suggestions"

  • and installed this (I think). Printer seemed to work. Now say "impossible filter. sometimes footprints of Safari, but no word. Sometimes, it prints a page when I turn printer on and outside. It's crazy to do. Thank you.

I have a MacBook Air. I use OS x El Capitan V10.11.12. 3 days ago, I installed a printer Epson L355. Everything seemed fine, when I first printed a few pages. I installed the driver delivered with printer and followed the Mac set up. The process has not completely finished the whole upward. I then found a Mac driver Mac page and installed (I think - how will I know?) and it seemed ok. When I used it the next day I kept getting message "filter failed" when you try to print from wifi. There is a strong wifi signal and scanning is ok. I can sometimes print a page of safari, but not from Word. I tried to delete and add printer's done everything to nothing. get him looking for a printer then message "filter has failed", with the printer in the "inactive"

Can someone help me please? I'm getting worried and frustrated in equal measure. I'm not a techie and really evil.

The message failed filter keeps the driver having problems of compatibility with the operating system and not the network connection to the printer. You mentioned with the driver supplied with your printer. This is linked from a previous version of Mac OS X, because sellers do not tend to get the latest drivers on the CD supplied with the printer. And then you install another driver, you can have caused even more conflict. So I would recommend that you delete the printer Printers & Scanners and then using the Finder, select go > go to folder, and then type/Library/Printers/Epson and press the Go button. This will take you to the Epson folder that has all the files in the printer driver. Select all the files and then trash them. Then, restart your Mac and when you are logged in, go to the Epson website and find the L355 printer driver that supports OS X 10.11. Download and install this driver, and then add the printer via Printers & Scanners again. Then see if you can print.

  • Network disappears when connecting wrieless printer via WPS button

I have a v3 router WNR2000. When I try to set up my printer wifi via the push button method, the printer connects, but then disappears my wireless network. In its place, there is a network protected password called NTGR_iAZIT in its place. Of course, I don't have a password to log in and see what it is. The only way to get the netowrk back is to reset the router back to factory settings, but then did the same thing when I try to connect to the printer.

Is there a way to get my network back without resetting the modem to factory settings? I deleted the printer on the network, but it does not help.

    Running iOS: Yosemite

    Thank you

Yes, I had to reset the router to factory and then manually put settings in place. Worked. Just confused because the automatic installer worked great when I first set up the printer earlier in the year.
