Lightroom 6 game initialization failed
I paid and downloaded the installer for update Lightoom 5 to 6. When you start the installer afer decompression of the files, it stops with the error message, that it was unable to initialize the installation program and I would like to download the adobe support officer (who is suspended). Of course, this solves the problem.
so far, I also tried to uninstall the old LR5, but still get the error.

If your error is:
"Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.
first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.
to find the OOBE:
Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps
Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB
If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
If you use an installation dvd:
Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.
If you are using a mac:
1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.
2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the
3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
5 restart the installation.
If everything is applicable above fails, check your Setup logs:

'Could not initialize installation' could indicate a corrupted download. If you haven't done so already, try the following steps:
- Uninstall Lightroom 6: How to manually uninstall the Lightroom
- Use the Adobe Cleaner tool to remove the remains of program use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems
- Download a new copy of Lightroom 6 to install Photoshop Lightroom
- Try reinstalling the program.
If, after re-downloaded, you keep getting the same error, I recommend you to review the installation log files to identify the specific error: Troubleshooting Adobe Creative Suite install problems with log files.

I recently got a new Satellite L750 laptop with built in webcam as a gift by my parents, who live in the United Kingdom, so I can stay in touch with them to the Ireland. I have tried to download the driver from the web camera on the toshiba site and have updated the BIOS, but it made no difference.
What can I do to get it working?
I assume that you want to use Skype or some other messenger, right?
For this application, you must not start application pre-installed Webcam. You can even disable the start-up.Can you please check if cam is recognized and listed correctly in the Device Manager and check if some messenger recognizes cam.

Managed to get the BIOS with ESC and F1... and got m/c start CD player. with W98 drive inScanDisk fixed a lot, a lot of probs... then to start to reinstall W98.
Stupid me thought that I wonder if he will now start without having to reinstall windows.
Turned on / turned off... now I'm stuck.

I'm new here so not sure if I'm posting in the right place.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L350 (Windows 7) that I bought in January. Everything was fine until the last two weeks when my webcam suddenly stopped working and when I sign in Dungeon getting a webcam of the message initialization failed, please check your device and restart the computer or the camera.
I went to settings and it says camera works, but it is not. I also have another pop up when I sign saying check Toshiba laptop stopped working (not sure what it is)
Can anyone help please?

I had the same question as my webcam didn't work and so I reinstalled the driver for the webcam that could solve my problem. You can download it here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversBut I recommend to remove the old version first. Then use CCleaner to clean the registry and then you can install the latest version on the Toshiba site.
Toshiba laptop recording you can remove from Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.

I have a Satellite L650. I got it for a little less than 6 months and the other day, I turned on the computer to find the webcam pop up message saying "Web camera initialization failed etc... "I have also noticed that the microphone in too no longer works.
I uninstalled it and re installed the driver, and it still does not.

What operating system you are using?If you have already reinstalled the driver for the webcam I advise to use CCleaner tool. It is a very nice freeware tool that can check your registry for the old registry keys and delete. If this cleaning software nice s to improve performance a bit and solve problems. Just use Google to find this program.
