Lightroom cc 2015: unbearably slow features
I upgraded to Lightroom CC 2015 three days ago. I've been using Lightroom probably for a year when it first came out. When I shoot a photo to develop, I always punch "auto tone" to see what Lightroom will do with it and then I customized the adjust accordingly. Every now and then, your car is right now. This process was always practically instant. I click on your 'Auto' and see the results immediately.
After I started the 2015 CC, I thought that the auto tone function didn't work at all. Click on. Nothing. Click, nothing. But after that I have would click, I couldn't scroll to next for awhile. Finally, after he did, I found out he had indeed made the auto tone but had taken a lot of time to do so.
I have since discovered that Lightroom can last for 20 or 30 seconds to complete an auto tone in minutes. In the case, it was just that the computer slows down somehow, I did everything clearing the case to serve to repair permissions and have probably restarted, stop, started again and so forth 100 times since the upgrade.
The problem persists.
I hope someone has an answer to this problem, because it is wasting my time and kill my productivity. I can't stand it.
I use an iMac 27 inches, 3.4 GHX Core iO * GB 1333 MHZ DDR3 10.9.5,
Also, when I have star ratings, I experience a short delay before the shows on the side. Sides of color have always been useful for me as well. I don't find any side of color in my new Lightroom.
Thank you.

Hi all
I'm one of the only ones left to having this problem?
I use the latest version of Lightroom on a MacBook Pro 15 "retina with 16 GB of RAM which takes place the last OSX.
CC of Lightroom is unbearably slow when you use the crop tool or rotating. I tried to purge the caches, to remove previews, enabled/disabled the GPU on and outside, my insights into the dimensions in pixels, of downsizing disabled wireless (and CC app), switched we / off external display (an old Eizo) - even an uninstall complete and reinstall. Yet the cropping function is near UNUSABLE.
ADOBE Please HELP!

If the problem goes away when you run the system at boot, it means that there is another application that runs in the background that is gobbling up system resources that Lightroom requires to work properly.
Here is information on what is happening with your system when you start start-up: try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple support in the list of the things that happens with Safe Boot, here are the two who most likely apply to the situation at hand:
- Loads needed kernel extensions only
- Prevents elements start and the login items open automatically
First, disable all applications that are running in the background as it was a startup item or element of connection. Take control of start-up and connection elements. Macworld

Release of Lightroom CC 2015.6 VERY SLOW!
Hi guys,.
I use Lightroom CC 2015.6 contacted Camera RAW 9.6 out of 10 Pro 64 bit and I have pretty decent rig: i7 6950 X (10 carrots), Asus Radeon Strix 1080 GTX, 64 GB 3200 RAM, SSD on PCI. 'Use the graphics processor' is enabled in my preferences of LR, but I don't see an important when different it is turned off.
First of all it takes LR about 3-4 seconds per image to build 1:1 previews, which means several hours if I have thousands of images from a shoot.
When I try to get a glimpse of some of the images at 100%, and to quickly move between them it works fine for maybe 5 minutes and then it starts to slow down: it takes LR seconds to create each preview and also from seconds to move between images. Furthermore, the previews are 3840px in size and average quality.
In Manager tasks I can see that at the start after start LR uses only 5-10% of my CPU resources and about 2 to 5 GB of RAM, but after a few minutes the use of RAM increases 15-20 GB and that's when LR becomes very slow. It seems he keeps each image previewed in memory and not release to the system when I close the preview.
I also tried another software to compare and other programs were significantly faster (Aftershot Pro is the fastest, followed by DXO Optics Pro and Capture One).
So it seems that this problem is strictly linked to the software and not to my material at all. Also, I noticed that after the recent updates, so I wonder if relling until one of the earlier versions might help.
Ideas to improve my experience with the latest edition of LR?
I'm really scared, because I don't really have time to wait for the software when working on thousands of images each week.
Your response will be appreciated. Thank you!
This is the official Adobe performance help page.
Adobe Lightroom GPU troubleshooting and FAQhttps://helpx.Adobe.com/Lightroom/KB/Lightroom-GPU-FAQ.html
You have your system configured to save all 1:1 previews in your catalog for ever? I set mine to delete every 30 days, so I don't have all that stored somewhere in a cache with LR.
Because it goes so slow down anyway I don't think you have much to lose by trying to clear your cache. But read up on it before making this decision.
In addition, if your photos are stored on an external I wonder if there is a problem with this external hard drive bus speed?
Or if it's all beings stored on your local disk with the OS and applications, maybe it's having a shape any conflict with something the OS or a partner app? Do you think these performance issues when other applications are turned off? Just think-tanking with you here because it seems to have no else responded yet.
Hope of those is the solution. -
I am a CC Subscriber. Lightroom is aware of upgrades, but miss me the new features of lightroom. that is dehaze.
When you check the version number, it says that I have
Version of Lightroom: 5.7.1 [994773]
Type of license: Creative Cloud
He also says lightroom 5
This is not normal?
I don't seem to have the latest version in spite of being a Subscriber and all applications up to date readings?
check your cc desktop app:
If your 'open' says where mine says 'install', check your directory applications/adobe/lightroom cc (2015) for the executable.

Develop module is slow to load images in Lightroom CC 2015
Whenever I look at a new image, it is slow to load in the develop module. Which means that when I click on a thumbnail, the image looks flat and not edited for 1-2 seconds until finally, it support. This occurs even after the generation of previews of standard sizes.
The library module is always fast and has no problem with that. This problem did not exist before the update of Lightroom CC 2015.
Everyone has noticed this or a solution?

I just installed Lightroom CC 2015 and when it opens after 5 or 10 seconds video flashes up "" look at an overview of Lightroom and its features". It is not possible to cancel or return to Lightroom. I can just click on the play button and after that, Lightroom crashes.
I uninstalled Lightroom, re-installed, but everything remains the same. After clicking on the play button, the video window is black. I can only kill Lightroom in the Task Manager.
I use Windows 7.
Thank you for helping me.
OK guys, I have a solution. Press escape [ESC] to close the video window. Yes I know... It took less than hour of my time to understand this. If Adobe please, no matter how lucky you could focus on the provision of a useful product, not to invent unnecessary mess that have zero impact on your username? And Holy shit, employ a specialist UX, this is catastrophic!

Lightroom CC 2015.2.1 slow and freezing up
Hi all!
I use Lightroom CC per day to sort and edit hundreds of images by casting. It's my lifeblood for the work!
The program has worked flawlessly until the update to 2015.2.1. After the update, I started to meet the constant lag while spending scrutinized in the Gallery of the library in my catalogs, as well as trying the module development allows you to change the basic elements of photography...
I can hardly move around the program without having to wait 5 minutes for any movement appears on the interface. The filter metadata on the right, sometimes crashes and I have to force quit the application and restart my computer to get the program works again... for 5 minutes.
After reading the help forums I have unchecked the use GPU, optimized my catalog, all saved as usual, still lower previews to the option of smaller size. No chance for the program become stable for me to use it with ease.
Thank you for reading and please let me know if anyone has any advice as to why the interface freezes and performance stops whenever I run the program. I have included below the information about my software and hardware in case this is useful.
Programs:
Lightroom CC 2015.2.1
Camera Raw 9.2
Material:
Computer: MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2015)
Processor: Intel Core i7 2.3GHz
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 M 2048 MB
Storage: 500 GB SSD
Best,
Michael
Hi Michael,
I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
You should consider rolling back to Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 now.

Lightroom CC 2015.5 - memory leak?
I reinstalled my computer just after doing a few hardware upgrades (12 GB - > 16GB, 500GB SSD, new video card) and now if Lightroom works for about 30-40 minutes, Windows warns me that my system is out of memory.
I restarted Lightroom and opens the window information system and watched the real and the virtual memory used by Lightroom values just start a slow climb while the program was not yet in use.
I've seen similar posts on Lr and a memory leak, but not quite the same circumstances.
I am including the full screen Sys Info then that a few cases a minute apart on two counters memory below. Any suggestion would be appreciated. The creative cloud app said that I have the current version.

I suggest rolling back to LR CC 2015.4 as described here:
Roll of Lightroom version prior update
Change step 3 on the link above to read:

Try again with LR CC 2015.4

Since the update to the latest version of Lightroom CC (2015) a few weeks ago I was able to start Lightroom. If I try to the desktop icon or the open command of the creative cloud it just won't do anything.
I use a PC with Windows 10 - until the last update, everything was fine.
I tried the signature on the "fix" identified on other forums - when I do that need me through the opening sequence of the product license or tried for 7 days then it just fails once again. I tried to remove the CC license of Lightroom. I tried the reinstalling.the software.
My CC Photoshop works very well.
Please help - incredibly frustrating!
Hi MulhollandP,

Lightroom cc 2015.6 Mobile Sync gets Stuck
Help please:
Just got my installed fiber, upstairs and downstairs, 50Mbits got all you leave to be able to start using Lightroom mobile correctly, but the uploads stuck after a while. In addition, the download performance download vs are much slower, even though I have the same bandwidth up and down.
I tried:
1.) first intelligent building previews and then sync
support for market graphics switching 2.).
3.) remove all of the mobile catalog and start again
What doesn't help is to restart the machine/Lightroom as it again, but when you have a 20 thousand images you want to synchronize, who continually do it becomes a problem.
I do not know what is the cause and does not seem to find any real help online. Help, please.
I use:
Lightroom CC 2015.6
64-bit Windows 10 PC
Core i7-4790 3.6 GHz Quad Core
16 GB of RAM
NVIDIA Quadro K620 graphic card (OpenGL 3.3)
Thank you
Frank
Thanks for the update.
Could you update to Lightroom latest version published 2015.6.1 yesterday and see if that helps.

Lightroom CC/6.3 slow down with use
Hi all
I have searched the forum and read many responses and tried a number of proposed solutions and am coming at the end of my tether. My voice can be added to the chorus of 'Lightroom CC short miserably slow'. For me in the past few days the specific problem that was after about 10-15 minutes of use LR slows down and becomes unstable, requiring a Windows 'end of task"command. This happened earlier while I was working in the library module, re-keywording within a collection that contains about 500 photos. Selection of about 20 photos and remove them from the collection set LR kneeling. Other operations that cause slowdowns are publish and export measures. But even during the selection of 3 or 4 pictures in order to apply the keywords a second ago or two of delay before the photo is selected, even when I just started LR - and the longest LR is open, the slower, he gets. It's AGONIZING.
Here are the facts on my system:
Version of Lightroom: CC 2015.3 [1052427]
Operating system: Windows 10
System architecture: x 64
Number of logical CPUs: 4
Processor speed: 3.4 GHz (i5)
Built-in memory: 12173,8 MB
Real memory for Lightroom: 12173,8 MB
Real memory used by Lightroom: 898,3 MB (7.3%)
Memory cache size: 0.0 MB
Maximum thread count used by Camera Raw: 4
Camera Raw SIMD optimization: SSE2, AVX
System DPI setting: 96 DPI
Composition of the Bureau enabled: Yes
Exhibition: 1) 1920 x 1200, 2) 1680 x 1050
Graphic processor Info: AMD Radeon HD 7700
Check the supported OpenGL: past
Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
Version: 3.3.13416 context 15.300.1025.1001 the base profile
Renderer: AMD Radeon R7 200 series
- My boot drive is an SSD, but also the drive on which is installed the Lightroom and the catalogue
- The LR SSD has a free space (more than 170 GB)
- My main catalogue contains about 43000 pictures and the size of the catalog file is 1.4 GB
- All my photos are on an array of Raid 2 - internal HD (with enough free space)
- I optimized my catalog (several times!)
- I deleted the folder preview.lrdata and rebuilt
- Turn on/off the GPU support has no effect
- The anti-virus does not scan photos or albums in Lightroom
- None of my catalog photo places in the records accessed by Microsoft OneDrive or other synchronization services
- My LR cache size is set to 40 GB
Now, I know that I don't have the latest graphics card or the fastest system, but I know that under Windows 8/LR 5.x, I didn't have these problems. And I don't mean the develop module - my problems are mostly in the library module in what one might think are simple: scrolling, selection and Keywords.
If there's something I forgot I would be happy to advice. Above all, I want to just Adobe to read and know that there is one more dissatisfied customer out there who is dying just for the fixed program.
Cheers, Sara
It's the topic done dj_paige refers to:
is there a way to speed up scrolling library inches?
You can also try to work with the metadata Panel completely closed. Do a right click on a header Panel and uncheck the "metadata".

Hello
I've recently upgraded to the new Lightroom CC 2015 and have adjusted a few folders of images.
I need to get these adjustments in the previous version of Lightroom (5.7) as Lightroom CC 2015 has proved to be too slow and buggy to use for production. In the settings of the catalog, I "Automatically write changes into XMP", but when I open the images at 5.7, the adjustments are not there.
All advice appreciated.Thank you!
Import photos into Lr5 and then the menus do 'Read metadata from a file' for these pictures force a reading of XMP data. This should apply to most of the settings of your photos edited LR6.
