  I installed Lightroom 6. There are now worked fine.

  Now when I try to open the program, it does not open.

  Instead, a window appears with an offer to try Lightroom CC.

  I don't want to try Lightroom CC as a monthly payment.

  I see not a way to get rid of this window a start my 6 Lightroom as before.

  Open as a test and check your sign in Adobe. Once you Sign In it ask for a serial number. Enter the serial number, you have to V6.

  Only then disconnect.

• How save the originals, delete Lightroom and start again?

  My question may be a few questions, but basically, I need to know how to record (archive) on a cd or a dvd all my photos (full resolution) original.  I so want to delete Lightroom 2 entirely out of my iMac and then reinstall the program.  At this point, I don't like on the recording of modifications or changes PP.

  Details: Basically what happened was that when I first started using Lightroom 2, I made a critical mistake.  I had an external hard drive full of about 30 000 images, some of which were copies or duplicate into separate folders, etc.  My idea was that it would be easier to sort photos and make them more organized then burn DVDs copies of the originals and then delete.  Now, I actually just a huge mess, because I started to sort the images in what I thought would work as an organized sorting system, to realize that once I moved to them I broke the link etc.  Some of the pictures are new and some are from the external drive.

  1. How can I find my photos more recent... I can search by date/year? (Because they were never recorded on an external drive).

  2 can I save/burn to the catalog to a disc or save the images of the inside of Lightroom? and then how to burn discs properly?

  3. once I have finished recording all original images on a dvd, how can I delete all of my iMac program.  I want to uninstall everything properly to do that there is no problem when I reinstall Lightroom 2.

  Thank you.  Once this mess is figured out I will review the Lightroom tutorials in order to find the best way to organize my workflow.

  In Lightroom, go to the library Module, Panel of catalog, all the photographs. Set the sort order in the toolbar under the grid of thumbnails: sort by capture time, descending. Now your latest photos are at the top of the grid and your oldest at the bottom. You can also change the criteria to sort the menu: view-> sort.

  If you want to perform a specific search by year/month/date, turn on the library filter, choose the metadata section, select Date in one of the columns.

  I don't know, and where you want to save the images of the inside of Lightroom. If you want to burn the images, burn all other files just like you. Your mac must have a disc burning utility, or the system may be able to do it directly from the Finder.

  But why burn? Format you your hard disk before you reinstall Lightroom? You can leave the disk hard drive and reimport them in Lightroom after reinstallation.

  I don't think that you need to uninstall Lightroom to start over with your organization. You can simply create a new catalog and import your files after you organize them as you wish on your drive.

  Two gripes.

  First of all, it starts automatically on the system running even if it is not in the start menu.

  In the second place. It eats CPU and memory. I export 1 photo and its use went from 2.4 GB to 3.6 GB of memory. CPU 100%

  First question-

  Check in your LR preferences - general tab > Import Options > "see the import dialog when a memory card is detected."

  If it is checked, then its possible that any device plugged in USB will start LR. Remove the control to try first.

  I'm not qualified to comment on the CPU usage.

  Go to the folder of your operating system that contains the LR catalog file. In this folder is a file whose name ends in. LOCK. Delete the. LOCK file. Do not remove anything else.

• 6 Lightroom not allowing editing of external drive

  I have two external drives connected to Lightroom, one is a 1 to and it's almost complete, the other is bigger and quite empty. I noticed today that

  the 1 TB drive is coming as the Red menu in Lightroom. It allows me to look at the pictures but when you go to and external program (Silverefex) to change it will not allow me.

  The drive works fine otherwise, I can display images in Photoshop and elsewhere, but for some reason any not in Lightroom. No idea where it started, have disengaged, restarted

  unplugged, in vain. All advice appreciated.

  Ok. Makes sense. To change in an external application, LR should create a new copy of the image, and your player's room. You need to move the files to another drive or remove things that you no longer need.

  If you move folders of images from external drive, use Lightroom to do. Drag and drop in the files Panel.

  I'm on a laptop 64 bit of Windows 8.

  BACKGROUND

  Yesterday, a fews days after the end of my trial of Lightroom, I purchased bundle of photography creative cloud to Adobe. Here is a link to what I bought: Lightroom and Photoshop | Plan of Adobe Creative Photography Cloud works perfectly now Lightroom (woohoo).

  THE PROBLEM

  However, when I click on the Adobe Creative cloud app so that I can download photoshop too, nothing happens or Lightroom opens (it varies). Let me go into a little more detail, I Adobe CC app in my toolbar and, when I click it, the icon will blink as any icon done if clicked... but then it turns off again. Thus, after the icon returned to research as it did until I clicked on it, nothing happens or Lightroom opens. If the latter happens, then Lightroom looks and functions just like it would be I had clicked on the Lightroom icon in my toolbar.

  I TRIED...

  I tried to open the app in the toolbar, start menu and bar search thingy (sorry, I don't know very well with Windows 8 jargon). I tried to download Photoshop from Adobe... I clicked download and low and behold, Lightroom open on my computer (but nothing else happened, certainly no download of Photoshop that's happened). I tried not to reinstall the application Adobe CC because to do this, I first have to uninstall it and I am very reluctant to do that, to do this, I need to uninstall Lightroom too and then later set up again.

  Help, please!

  Any help, of course, would be accepted very warmly. If it is not a solution to this, I would appreciate at least someone explaining how to back up and restore Lightroom (if you can). This would allow me to uninstall and reinstall Lightroom and Adobe CC but quickly restore my configuration of Lightroom to exactly how it was before.

  Try to open the CreativeCloud.exe file from this location: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC

  (If you installed to the default location CC)

  Let me know if it opens CC app or triggers lightroom instead.

  Hi Gerben,

  You must disable the GPU acceleration by going to Edit > Preferences > Performance > uncheck GPU and restart lightroom.

  And update your drivers of graphics as well as you say it was working fine before and once update you you can check that box again.
