• Why records are imported into Lightroom remaining gray?

  Remaining files imported into Lightroom 5 gray, why? I am a fairly experienced user of LR5 and have been using it to organize my photos for a few years now, and I've never had this problem before. It happens when I import directly from my card using a card reader and also if I download on the computer and import from there.   Are the grey icons or the grey triangles? If the triangles are gray dark, it means simply that there is no subfolder in this folder. If they are light gray, it measnyou can check the triangle and see the subfolders in this folder.

• My Lightroom is damaged and does not start

  Hi someone can help me. My PC recently had a virus that currupted Lightroom. The virus has been removed, but Lightroom remains corrupted. When I try and open Lightroom, I get a message box that States that another version of Lightroom is open in the background - which is not, and the meesage plans to close the existing version that I can't do. What suggerstions you have to help me fix this. Thanks for your help.

  Try-

  1. use the file Explorer to go to the folder where your catalog exists.

  2 delete a single file that ends with the file extension "" lock ".

  3. restart Lightroom.

  "ATTENTION: do NOT remove the end of file. LRCAT' - this is your master lightroom catalog.

  If Lightroom remains present in the task manager then try this procedure.

  Procedure-

  1. Make a restart/re-start computer
  2. Open Lightroom
  3. Open the Task Manager. (CTRL + ALT + DELETE)
  4. Right click on the App - Adobe Photoshop Lightroom-
  5. Select "see details" «
  6. Right click on "Lightroom.exe.
  7. Click on "set priority".
  8. Set the priority to 'high'.
  9. Close the Task Manager.
  10. Close all programs and restart the computer
  11. While you open Lightroom - reset the preferences by pressing [SHIFT + ALT].
  12. LR control closes correctly.

  In lightroom, go to the path from the menu below.

  Window ==> screen Mode and select "full screen with menu bar.

  Try to uninstall the old version - it is not necessary.  An upgrade is a product independent and fully functional.

  Please go to the library Module, then click on the picture in the Menu bar and then click the stacking.

  From there please select expand all stack them.

  It should show all the images if they are virtual copies.

  Hi chaps - I was messing around with the web module and have created several "collections" to test several ideas, LR has created duplicates for all distinct collections, I'm now at the stage where I decided what to do if you want to remove all duplicates in "All photos", but I thought that if I deleted 'collection' Associates duplicates would disappear, but they are still there I would prefer not to have to go through them all manually... advice please?

  It seems that you told Lightroom (perhaps accidentally) to make virtual copies when adding to the collections. If you plan on this again in the future, simply turn this option, and then when you remove it from the collection, you will not have the "duplicates".
