• Lightroom Windows 7, installation of stall. Need help

  I tried to install Lightroom in my new Windows 7 laptop. Regardless of the version of the program I try to install I get the message following erorr when installing. "The installation package could not be opened. Check the package existed and you can acess it etc... ». I tried several times but the same message arrives. It's only for lightroom, I had an older version with me, who also gave the same message, tried the demo version of LR4, received the same message. Help, please.

• Lightroom 6.0 does not open

  Hello, I bought Lightroom 6.0 in 2015 Dec (not membership of the creative cloud - just the application). I have used it very well, but do not have the last couple months. When I go to open the application, the wheel just keeps spinning with Lightroom front page showing version 6.0. Nothing happens and the application does not in fact. I thought to uninstall but don't know if I can re - stall it now. I know there have been a few updates to the 6.0 version, but because the application does not open, and I can't actually click on anything on the top tool bar of Lightroom, I don't know what to do. Help, please! Thank you.

• I can't get 6 Lightroom to open-

  I have 6 Lightroom and used without any problems for a few months now.  Two days earlier, it suddenly started to stall during the open process, and I am currently not able to access it at all.  When I double click the icon in the dock, the first box opens and the mouse turns as if it's tempting, but it never opens. I can hear it trying but to no avail. I finally force quit and get out, and I did this several times. Restarted several times.  Checked for updates and none that are relevant. Anyone has any ideas on this?  I'm almost panic mode. : [I hate to uninstall and reinstall because I have pictures of marriage out there that have been modified but not yet exported.

  You use a Mac or a Windows computer?

  If you are using Windows then right click Lightroom icon on the desktop and select "Run as Administrator".

  You can I stall on as many machines as you want.  Of these machines, you can have two of them signed use.  Of these two machines, you can only use the subscription on one at a time.

• 6 installed Lightroom and it freezes while working after startup.

  I recently installed Lightroom 6.  It starts and opens without a problem but then it stalls.  I am on Windows 10 and I checked my system requirements then seem to be ok.  I also installed Photoshop and it seems to work without problems.  Can anyone help with this problem of gel.

  I found the solution in a post later.  The GPU driver that I use is not supported by Lightroom.  I had to manually turn off the graphics process.  The indications are using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Graphics processor (GPU) acceleration, troubleshooting & FAQ Lightroom

  I use an AMD Radeon HD 6970 with driver version 15.201.1001.0.

  I have 4 Lightroom and PS CS6, and I just bought the CC for photographers. The first thing I tried to do was install LR 5 of the CC app. He got as much as 47%, then stalled.   Jeff, thank you. I looked at the Setup logs and haven't seen anything unusual. I got this to work, however, brute force to more than anything else. I restarted installation maybe 10 times in the last two days, and finally, he crossed. I rebooted a couple of times, but didn't really change anything, so I can't say why it worked, but I'm not complaining.

• Best workflow between Photos and Lightroom

  I visited the issue of the digital workflow many times over the years and opening was probably the best answer, alas. Now that we're stuck with much smaller pictures, I have to balance the desire to snap on my iPhone and take serious pictures, usually on my travels. So I designed a workflow to integrate the two activities and use my iPhone/iPad as my tools 'display '. The problem is that it is rather bulky. So I share below in the hope that others will comment and perhaps offer a best... Here we go:

  1. Import maps memory on computer, rename the shoot/import in Lightroom 6
  2. Do a quick reform of the iPhone photos (say for a given trip), then import them into Photos then export to the desktop, then import them into Lightroom 6
  3. Do all the editing and key-wording in Lightroom
  4. Select 'gatekeepers', mark them for export. Select photos from the iPhone that have not been edited (i.e. just renamed/key-wording) and preparing to export separately in the originals because that Lightroom creates much larger than the original jpg
  5. Export files jpg on computer to the majority or the photos + original iPhone photos (they will have names new, metadata, etc.).
  6. Delete the originals of Photos
  7. Import all of the Photos
  8. Run facial recognition
  9. Normally synch to iPhone/iPad

  Any idea on how simplify/improve on it?

• Have 3 computers running Firefox 41.0.2 w / stall F.B. scrolling.

  Facebook, scrolling of the stalls on 2 laptops and 1 PC with Firefox 41.0.2. I tried refreshing Firefox, removal of the plug-ins, uninstall and reinstall Firefox, nothing seems to help. My other browser I.E. doesn't have this problem of dropout when scrolling on Facebook.
  Mozilla doesn't seem to have an own uninstall program and uninstall Windows let old items of data and register of Firefox.
