  Recently my InDesign (CS6 running on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, 8 GB ram) has become almost completely insensitive when I go to open and edit a file off the corporate network.   What we have done to try to resolve the problem:

  • Reinstal InDesign - no effect
  • Deleted preferences (shift + ctrl + alt + windows key on InDesign startup) - no effect

  Our technicians tried to edit my profile nothing helps registry, and we are all completely at a loss of what is happening. There are several other instances of the program within the company (especially versions 5.5 and one other 6) and they work all files fine edition directly to the output of the network.

  Someone has an idea of what it could be, such a specific problem being only when you're editing text base areas? Technicians do not want to have to re - build my profile because there is a lot of back-end to do to be able to restore immediately.

  So have finally solved us the problem and are currently cracking on the Champagne!

  It turned out to be the network path shortcut I used to access the shared drive where I just change the files to. I work for a restaurant so we have a shared drive where each site can access their files, it's where the food menu files and I had created a shortcut, although accessible the zone made him using a path that had a double backslash in it.

  The true path for the shared drive is \\hm\mydocs\restaurant\menufile.indd and it is the shortcut I used to open the file of. For all other files such as Word, Excel, even other programs like PSE10 and Lightroom Adobe it seems to work correctly. For some reason any InDesign dislikes this path with the double backslash in. As soon as I changed the path of the shortcut to just m:\ (the letter of the drive shared on the network), everything worked again and we can all sleep, he drove us mental.   Unless you fully active 'find my Mac' BEFORE that your mac has been stolen, it can't do anything for you now. It is not active, and there is no way to make it active after the fact.

  1. Go to edit > preference > Performance > uncheck "processor chart use" If this does not solves the problem then,
  2. With Lightroom closed
  • Access

  C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences    (Where AppData is a system folder / hidden so you may need to enter the name of the folder directly into your browser's address bar or activate hidden folders / system in the Internet Explorer view folder options.)

  • Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
  • Locate the line use = True autobahn (press CTRL + F)
  • Take Autobahn use = False

  Restart Lightroom

• After the upgrade to Windows 10 Lightroom stops responding while I'm working

  In windows 7, I couldn't activate GPU?  In windows 10 I can.  When I tried Disabling GPU to see if that was the problem, Lightroom stops working when I click on the box.

  The Microsoft Account and Yahoo accounts are two separate accounts.  Then the two accounts use the same login ID (your Yahoo email address) and can be configured with the same password; When you change the password for one of the accounts that will not change your password for the account on the other.

  If the two accounts used the same password, I suggest to change the password for your Microsoft account and using a separate password for each.

  Once the Microsoft Account password has been changed, you should be able to connect to the mail. You may still need to update your email Yahoo mail password of: charms-> settings-> accounts-> .

  I tried to reinstall the program. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried to restart the reinstallation. It's under my account on the computer, it works fine in my regular user account. I didn't install or use Thunderbird in my normal user account until after the restoration of Windows 7.

  This happened after the upgrade to Windows 10 and then restore Windows 7. I didn't care much for the way in which the computer ran after the installation of Windows 10 and I also lost my access to the internet, because of the way I have to connect to the internet.

  The problem has been resolved by uninstalling Avast Antivirus software. Apparently, there is a problem with the latest version of it which had applied yesterday. In addition, it is weird that disable Avast did not help.
