    * TOSHIBA & DVD LIGHTSCRIBE MEDIA *.
I heard that Toshiba does not introduce DVD Lightscribe software (to customize the cd/DVD virgins) as OEM software. Is there a way I could get it on my series of satellite P without having to buy an external hard drive?

As much as I know for the Lightscribe feature, you need the special optical disk drives that support this option. It is unclear to me Toshiba ratings support this, so I'm afraid you need some external m solution (external drive).

  • The upgrade of the player optical dv5tse

Lately, I've become interested in blu - ray and burning capabilities lightscribe media. An optical drive is considered to be a basic element of a computer, in order to find one of them shouldn't be too difficult, I don't know where to look. If I'm not mistaken, the drive is a standard 2.5 "width 9.5 mm thickness SATA drive. HP lists the Blu - Ray ROM Lightscribe SuperMulti DVD +/-R/RW Double layer as a $85 update of the standard LightScribe SuperMulti 8 X DVD +/-RW with Double Layer Support. Assuming that the basic lightscribe disc costs about $55, then the blu - ray player is expected to cost $140. (Or, maybe, this price is subsidized by the purchase of the laptop everything, in which case it should always be available for less than a few hundred dollars). Now, as beautiful as the option when buying a new computer is, I am not interested in buying a completely new laptop just for a blu - ray player! Certainly, the hardware is available for sale (they are always with electronics, right?), can someone tell me where?

Also of note, I read in these forums that people have problems with getting more than two channels of audio playback of their blu - ray in the dv5t laptop. It is a problem with the external ports or software, not the reader perspective, right? A software update or a new cable are easy, but I would be appalled if the audio is topped by the optical drive.

Any person able to provide guidance, the your help is appreciated.

EDIT: It would also be possible to find one who can also write to blu - ray (perhaps even double layer!) too? What about assorted colors?

Click here, select "Drive" in the menu dropdown... these optical drives all work in your system.

  • What CD/DVD drive?

I have a window running from the HP Elite 7 m9600t and I have an expansion Bay. Currently, I want to install another cd/dvd drive so that I can multi task. I'm not sure that one to buy or if it's not compatible. I'm on http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=55&name=CD-DVD-Drives. Any ideas on a good that is compatible with my computer and is of high quality? Less than $50. I don't want to buy from the hp store because it's quite expensive. I'm sorry. Thank you

Try this Samsung for $25. It is very popular. There also Lightscribe support so you can burn labels using lightscribe media.

Read the articles on the removal of the cover and replacing/adding an optical drive.  It's a piece of cake, maybe 30 minutes max.

I just install a second optical (Blu - ray) in my m9200t (same box your PC) and it took 15 minutes.

Your PC motherboard is the same as mine in my e9280t system.  Unplug your computer and open it.  Make sure that you have a spare sata port before you buy the disc.

  • "DVD SuperMulti LightScribe drive / burner" not recognized as LightScribe drive

I've had my desktop PC HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8100y CTO for several years now, but I've never tried using the LightScribe feature to date. I downloaded the drivers and software from [link removed - site is no longer available] newer, but none of that recognizes the "LightScribe DVD SuperMulti Drive/writer" (TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222BB) as a LightScribe drive. What should I do to diagnose and fix the problem, so I can use the LightScribe feature?

After looking in the system recovery, I don't think I'm going to run until my PC has more serious problems than the issue of LightScribe. The recovery process of the system to the factory settings and then reinstall everything new is a bit more than I want to go at this point. Thanks anyway for the help, old_geekster. I'm OK with the mystery of LightScribe remaining unsolved for a little longer. When I get to perform a system recovery, I will update this thread with the results regarding LightScribe.

  • LightScribe drive

I've been burning CDs on my drive, and then burn lightscribe labels.  Suddenly today, burner lightscribe program refused to recognize that I have a lightscribe device in my computer.  I can still burn CD, DVD, etc..  How to solve this problem?

    Hello

Don't forget to use optical discs Lightscribe.  LS media must be Lightscribe surface face before combustion works.

Because Imgburn recognizes the optical drive lightscribe capable your app burning lightscribe must be reinstalled. Try to reinstall the underlying lightscribe systemfirst, before reinstalling your burning software.  The HP update is here.

The Lightscribe website is no longer active.

Since you have Imgburn installed, you can use it to search an update of the firmware for your optical drive.

It's a Sony OptiArc drive. Media supported are:

    DVD - ROM, DVD - RW, DVD-R (DL), (9) DVD + R, DVD + RW, DVD-video, CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA, CD-Audio, CD-Extra, CD-Text, CD - I Ready, CD-Bridge, Photo CD, video CD, hybrid CD, AD - 7711H: LightScribe, AD - 7713H: Labelflash™

As you can see DVD-R (DL) double layer is supported, but is not the case of the Blu - Ray.

  • I have a 610 touchsmart. Is LightScribe is enabled.

I have a 610 touchsmart. Is LightScribe is enabled. I ran LightScribe diagnostic that says no LightScribe configuration problems found.  But no detacted media. The drive is hp cddvdw ts-t633p hib) 195. I have tried verbatim CD - R, light scibe. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

This is the original factory specifications for your desktop HP TouchSmart 610-1100uk. According the specs, I don't see a reference to this model supports LightScribe. In addition, it is not a driver or software for LightScribe registered to the drivers of HP 610-1100uk TouchSmart desktop PC page. While it is not clear evidence that your model does not support LightScribe, simply said that it most likely does not.

  • Windows Media Player does not include the CD Label/Insert manufacturer as it did before as I have re-installed Windows.

original title: WHERE CAN I FIND WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION 2005 CD LABEL MAKER DONWLOAD?

I HAVE A WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CD LABEL/INSERT MAKER THAT HAD MY ORIGINAL COMPUTER UNTIL I REPLACED MY HARD DRIVE. THE NEW WINDOWS THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN MY NEW HARD DRIVE DID NOT INCLUDE THE LABEL MAKER FEATURE.

    Hi TerryodO'Donnell.

The manufacturer of your computer would have installed extra software on your computer to create CD labels.

So, you can use LightScribe system software to create CD labels.

  • HP Pavilion s3270y: from window to window 7 No. Hp media center missing vista

Can you please send a response to my question.  I guess I shouldn't post my email because it's on a forum.  I am not able to find this forum again.  But I hope that you have that info to the registry.  Thank you.

    Question:

Since the download of windows 7 Windows vista, I have no HP Media Center.  It appears in the photos, but I don't have access to or to reconfigure settings.   I could download lightscribe again troubleshooting, but I also had window platform of microsoft on this computer work, (such as word), as it came with it on the computer when I bought it.   Please help, I have not had this since Vista crashed and I bought the version of windows 7.  So I think what he mainly only HP software problems, and I would like to have the word back.

    Thanks, Joyce

MS Works is no longer supported by Microsoft. Microsoft Works Plus (Works 9.0) was for Vista and only available for OEMS built (your picture of the HP software that came with Vista). Windows 7 still comes with Wordpad, if you're looking for word processing. If you want more than one suite, you will probably need to roll up your sleeves and install a new - either for free or one you buy.

One of the best free versions is Open office .

Microsoft Office is one of the most popular office of course suites.

There are several others that you need to do a little research and talking to friends, namely one might be the best for what you want to do.

  • LightScribe printer

I have a printer HP Photosmart with Lightscribe. I have the software on my MAC but when I try and use it I get a message saying that the Lightscribe printer is not found. I use my printer with a Wi - Fi connection. I can't get any help from the Lightscribe people. Any suggestions?

    Hello

Here's a response (which is your printer?):

"Most of the features on the HP Photosmart 8180 all in one printer can be used via wireless or Ethernet connection, but to use the LightScribe labels from your computer, you must connect the printer directly to the computer via the connection USB.

You must also install the Lightscribe system software to allow your labeling application detect your drive and identify new media. It is recommended to follow the same precautions recommended for USB/Firewire external dives. »

  • The 220-1025PC Omni has a DVD burner compatible LightScribe?

I have a HP Pavilion Media Center a1310n desktop PC.  It has a DVD burner compatible LightScribe.  LightScribe identifies a disc very carefully. I took it for granted that LightScribe, a HP inovation, would normally be on the HP desktop computer.  It seems that it was a mistake.  I want to confirm the presence or absence of LightScribe in 220 Omni.  For now, I burned my recovery on the 220 LightScribe disks and created the label on the a1310n.  It is a strange situation.  Thank you.

    Hello

ImgBurn should indicate if the drive is capable of Lightscribe. Maybe you weren't looking in the right screen.
