Notification rules are independent of the models and what measures we take when a warning or critical alert arrives by car. I'm not sure what you mean by "Overwrite existing out of notifications of the box" - but in general, the models and notification rules are related but independent as described above.

  2 see above. You can always create a rule to send notifications of alerts on metrics. If the alert goes off - she will do what is asked.
  Of course, you define thresholds appropriately on the target to trigger an alert warning or critical - by directly changing the thresholds or by using a template.

• Model related to the workspace causes more space

  I have a model which is a clone linked another model (I don't have to change the memory/CPU limits and things). This model has a Windows 7 guest operating system. I created a Configuration and added the model as a virtual machine (like a linked clone). When the virtual machine has been created and deployed, look at a data use store showed that the new virtual machine has 273 MB (which is fine with me).

  According to the guest operating system, it has been "16.7 GB" free on drive C. I ran a few automated tests with my company on the virtual machine software. After the trials, there was 14.4 GB free on drive C, a difference of 2.3 GB of the original. The problem is, according to the use of data store, the virtual machine is now 4 400 MB.

  Why the virtual machine would increase in size from 4 concerts, when only 2 GB of data has been actually added to it? Y at - it something I am doing wrong? Or is my understanding of related clones incorrect?

  linked clones are block-level - the level of file system is a higher level of abstraction.  One or more of (and probably all) what follows is Mark blocks as 'dirty' or another delta would be from the original:

  (1) you empiétées swap space, which although transitional always blocks-on-disc «»

  (2) a block of data has been provided in one place, and then the operating system decided to move it to another location.

  (3) the part of your trial involved files to half way of deleting and copying more.  The operating system will not necessarily replace the rough blocks until it takes, even more blocks are marked "delta" of the original, but in the filesystem level aren't really.

• Qosmio X 870/016: win 8.1 - 3D DVD player option grayed out

  I have a Qosmio PSPLZA-016003 with Win 8.1
  What news I couldn't play 3D 3D Blu - ray discs no problem on Win 8
  I've updated to Win 8.1 but did not check the 3D DVD worked.

  After that Toshiba Service Update Blu - ray player, I couldn't play the 3D 3D discs - they appeared as 2D with 3D icon grayed out. The update of the Blu - ray player service was at 1.0.5.175

  I have:
  1 update of BIOS to 6.3 on the support site.
  2 player deleted and reinstalled from my c: drive
  ... program files, PINES, COMPS1, Toshiba blu - ray Disc Player - V1.0.5.48
  3 installed V1.0.5.175_A on the support site (this indicates in "Any player" V1.0.5.175)

  I still have the problem DVD 3D showing as icon 2D and 3D shaded in the player window.

  I guess the combination of Win8.1, 6.3 Bios and DVD Player V1.0.5.175_A should work - any suggestions?

• Downgrade XP on new laptop Satellite

  Hi all

  im going to get a new laptop. However, the XP downgrade option is a must. Now ive seen a lot of laptops Toshiba with an XP downgrade option. I prefer XP some ive games wont run on 7 and XP is less show and generally runs faster. (or not?)

  I was looking at some laptops on ebay where they have XP downgrade option.
  Watching: graphics HD 5165, downgrade XP, i5 - 520 M processor option, $1100

  However, I was looking at JB Hi Fi catalog and have a:
  i5 - 520 M, HD 5650, Blu - ray, $1200 graphics

  much of the rest is the same (HARD drive, screen, HDMI, eSATA)

  so I figure I get the best map chart + blu - ray (but probably not XP) drive for $100 more.

  However, JB Hi Fi does not which model of laptop is. Only that it is a Satellite (I think) 15.6 "...
  In addition, it says nothing about a downgrade XP. Now, if I understand correctly, this is usually an option. IM wondering if JB Hi Fi does not have a XP disk, I can get it else where, and if so, how is it likely to cost?

  For me, it looks like Satellite L650. If this laptop model is not available with Windows XP Home edition recovery option, you will not be able to get the original recovery for Windows XP Home edition disk.
  As far as I know a limited number only of nine models are complete WXP supported. Before you buy it to talk with them and ask if this laptop model is supported WXP.

  You can also use support US http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp page to see if this model is supported. Of course when you get accurate and model model name umber.

  Sorry, but I cannot say more than that at the moment.

  It is not clear if yes or no, the model that I bought it. I have an of CD/DVD "button that I use to run my built-in dvd player (WinDVD for example), but it does not work as it appears as 'a disc standalone player' who plays a dvd (movie) without the need of Windows startup.

  To watch the movie on dvd, after using the CD/DVD button, I start in Windows, the connection in Windows XP, and the office at startup, the WinDVD screen presents the film.

  This isn't what I expect from a stand-alone dvd player. My old laptop has a 'dj function' with which you can play a cd without booting in Windows (or turning on the laptop), simply by pressing a special button on the front. What about the promised feature of the Toshiba Satellite Pro?

  Is there a feature "Express Media Player" at all? How can I check if the function is provided? I used the provided configuration, the first time I used my laptop. I don't want to use the recovery CD provided unless it would be absolutely necessary to install this missing functionality.

  Yes. Some Toshiba models use a player Qosmio (Qosmio units) and some computers laptop Toshiba supports also the Media Express Player.

  I downloaded the user manual of the Satellite Pro M70 and it seems that some laptop computers in this series come with the express media player. But unfortunately the Media Express drive was not installed and delivered with this laptop.

  The limits are 16 GB for models double heart, because they have only 2 slots DIMM and 32 GB for the machines to four hearts, with 4 DIMM slots.

• How can I activate the backlight for the keyboard? Pavilion dm4 2033 cl

  I'm quite positive that my laptop has a backlight. However, I didn't need at the time and I turn it off. But now I can't turn it on. Initially, I remembered setting in power options, and that there is a small slider to adjust the brightness of the screen or the keyboard.  I could be wrong though, because I can't see the second slider to the brightness of the keyboard.

  I tried everything I could find to get the light to turn on. I used the mobility Center, but there is no keyboard option. I tried the fn, fn + spaacebar, f5, and my keyboard is not a specialized key to set the backlight on the keyboard either.

  Someone knows how to turn on the backlight?

  Your laptop comes with a backlit keyboard. This feature is limited to only a few models selected. The brightness of the screen and the backlight on the keypad are completely different systems. Lighting is controlled by a special key on the keyboard and the brightness of the display can be controlled by two special keys on the keyboard.

• Issue of CPU/processor T60 upgrade

  Hi all

  I have a T60 (1953-DAF model) with a 1.66 GHz processor (type T2300E). I want to upgrade the processor to one with a VT (Virtualization Technology in support of 64-bit) capability, say T2400 or higher.

  I would like to know if there is any limitation imposed by the current model for what is CPU upgrade is. I don't know where to find this information.

  If possible, is there something I have to do outside of replacing the CPU physically?

  You can go to T7xxx and T5xxx CPU in the socket m format is not what you really need to do to upgrade other than the CPU. I recommend that you get the T5xxx, i.e. T5500 and T5600, etc..

  Only the T7xxx was VT and 64-bit.

  T5xxx in Socket M does not VT support, it only supports 64-bit.

  CPU T2x00 can only support VT and no. 64-bit operating system.

• S10e no video when the DIMM is added

  New S10e with 512 M / 160GB disk/XP. Boots fine with no additional DIMM inserted, but when I added a 2 GB DDR2 SO - DIMM 667 I get the lights to the front, but no HD light and after 4 seconds system appears to be off. No beeps/sound.

  Tried with one other DIMM which worked very well in another S10, same result. Pull the DIMM and it starts very well again.

  Tried Fn + F2 to make sure that the LCD was on (no result)

  The stop/cut the current and the battery / hold down the power button / stop for 20 seconds. No difference.

  Any other suggestions or will likely need to be returned for repair?

  If your S10 comes with 1 GB Mem welded you can upgrade with additional 1 GB Mem only...

  . (512 MB will naturally also works has not heard most adds to the max..)

  in this case additional 2 GB does not work... due to the larger chips mem topology...

Before the Apex 5 I used $a_report but this code no longer works, and in all cases, I have to use a method of support.

  Is there a way to do this, perhaps using dynamic Actions, JQuery or another method?

  For reasons, I do not understand there is no way documented and supported to customize the reports beyond paging parameters available in report attributes and the very limited support for editing report models.

  Do not use the user OIMINTERNAL for any kind of change or for notifications.

  Since you use OIM 11 g, then why are you using the Notification process tasks. This notification uses old models 9.x and not a good option. I will suggest best to use new models and to call on the success of your tasks.

  This will make your workflow of notifications very easy and you can get many scenarios.
