  It won't hurt to report them, but I doubt they would care or they they have been set.

  Hi all. I am running Microsoft Windows XP on my computer. I use Outlook Express for e-mail. Currently, I'm unable to delete the emails of one of my Outlook Express email accounts. Everyone knows about this problem? All proposed solutions?

  Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

  Compact all folders as described below.

  To avoid this in the future:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes.   OK, so without changing ALL the settings I can not suddenly open links in emails sent to me, nor do I insert hyperlinks in emails, I'm composing.  I get an error message stating that "this operation has been cancelled (sic) due to restrictions in effect on this computer.  Please contact your system administrator.  I am the system administrator, and it is my laptop with no other users.  I looked in all the parameters that I can find but can't find anything that has the result needed to pull me back to the possibility of using links in the email.  Help!

• Outlook Express does not accept attachments or links in e-mail messages sent from Outlook!

  I am trying to solve this problem for my mom, that's NOT it at all, and she lives in another State!

  I use Outlook (had Office 2007 on XP but now set to level to 2010 on Win7).  My mother uses Outlook Express with Vista.

  Whenever I have send his spare part, she can't open them.  They are all photos.  She said: "there is no where to click."  When I've been there and have been able to test this, she's right: there is not a paper clip (i.e., no attachment).  She also told me that he "didn't there no place to click" on the links that I send, also.  Oddly, this happens with another person that I send to, which (by chance) Outlook Express also used.  I never hear of someone else.  I think there are some setting on their ends, but I was not able to understand.  There is nothing click on slot the Internet Option settings to allow attachments (he said something about it in the option, but it is not a clickable area next).

  You must attach the images to an e-mail message in plain textformat. Outlook Express and quite a few other email clients, do not include Outlook to RTF (Rich Text Format) and will never see the attachment. Bruce Hagen

  I have Vista Basic.  Links in emails have stopped working.

  I don't know the technical answer, but as far as I KNOW, this is the way it has been designed for some reason any.

  I know when IE7 came out for XP, Outlook Express stopped opening links in other browsers. It was later changed to IE7 should not be default.

  Windows 7 does not come with an email program.  If you have installed one?

  Outlook Express works on Windows XP and earlier versions.  Windows Mail does work only on Windows Vista.

  I suggest you follow these methods and check.

  Method 1: Remove the cache for all the gadgets and then re - install the Gadget of the currency

  Close the Gadget

  Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Cache

  Remove all files & folders here

  Re-install the Gadget of the currency.

  If the method above does not work, proceed to the next method.

  Method 2: If you need to uninstall the Gadget completely, you can re - install all of the Gadgets that come with Windows by following these steps.

  Click Start

  Type of restore Gadget

  Select restore the Office Gadgets installed with Windows

  This will restore all Windows by default Gadgets.

  I had problems with links in emails not open their web pages when I clicked on them. I've read some of the info on the help and decided to reset default Firefox. Later, I realized that my "downloads" had been removed. Is it possible to restore these because they are all related to Internet Marketing elements such as plugins, I downloaded ebooks, scripts etc etc?

  I looked in the folder that was created automatically by Firefox on reset but I can not find them in there!
