I use Win7 Pro and just download the update of Firefox to 32.0.

  Can now access the page to update my plugins, this problem has been resolved by Mozilla.

  Since May 4, 2012 about 6 hours EST (on 3 different computers) I get "sorry, we couldn't find the page or file you were looking for" when I click on the link "check to see if your plugins are up-to-date" through the page modules.   You can also use an addon like flashblock to only enable the flash plugin when you need it (like when you watch a video on youtube) to mitigate the risks while surfing the web.

  Firefox also will not support the ppc architecture longer, however if you want to use an up-to-date browser based on firefox you can switch to "tenfourfox" - on the side tilted, it supports any plugins: Firefox no longer works with Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC processors
