• Can't intall itunes since there is an older version

  I am trying to install itunes, but I get an error message saying that it can not be installed because there is an older version.  I tried unintalling everything related to itunes and apple in my laptop but I get the same error.  The problem started when I updated the new version of itunes 12.3.2 and the screen of the itunes store would not prevent blink, so I uninstalled itunes and when I tried to re - install, I was unable to.

  Cheap and good jovi...  That IS indeed a serious problem.    But at least the iPod still plays music, so its battery is OK.

  You use the USB cable supplied with 2nd gen iPod?  It is long with a cradle at the end of the shuffle.  The replacement of home cable shuffle Apple sells currently is to shuffle 3rd and 4th generation and does not work with 2nd gen shuffle (connector is different).

  There are third party replacement cables, but they must be described as 2nd gen shuffle.  And they tend to be cheap and of poor quality, then this might be the problem here.

  If you have the right type of cable, when you connect it to the USB of your computer, look at the little light the shuffle.  Blink initially when it is connected?  It turn on, but remain solid (not flashing)?  There is No light at all when connected?

  Also, are you using a Mac or a Windows PC?  If Windows, which free?

  I use an iPhone 6.  I just took my phone service, and they gave me a new.  I have updated to iOS 9.2 and then restored the phone, but my Apple pay card is no longer on my phone.  I click to add to the portfolio, but it is not pulling up from the map I linked to iTunes.  My Apple Watch was still there but it tells me that I have to pair it again and have to reset the Apple Watch first to pair.  I'm afraid to do so. I had a lot of trouble to get the map on the watch in a first time.  My card should not appear when I add a map in the portfolio?  How can I associate the map used in iTunes?  Do I have to scan the card?

  Welcome to CMCosMic. There were in fact three versions: 11.2.1 and 11.2.2 - 11.2.0, who all were released in May of 2014. Even if by some miracle they would work on your Windows 10, which did not exist at that time, they would not be able to support mobile devices running anything newer than iOS 7 (iOS 9 is ongoing, and iOS 10 happen next month). Move your library to an older version of iTunes also means, difficulties. If you are sure that you want someone to find one of these versions, please specify 32-bit or 64-bit.

  I've recently updated iTunes to version 12, skipping several versions of the application when I replaced my iMac 2008 3 GHz with a MacBook Pro 11.1 2013.  I see that others in this forum have similar problems, but I am not convinced, that this is the same problem, so I write, and I would greatly appreciate your advice.

  On my MacBook today, my iTunes files are broken up as follows:

  (1) on the first level of my internal SSD drive, there is a folder "iTunes" (378 GB).  Inside this file, I see the following:

  a folder "cover art" (945 MB) with several subfolders.

  (b) "iTunes Music" folder (375 GB) that contains records related to specific artists and also a record for television broadcasts;

  (c) there are also some file "iTunes Library" which are several years old and litter may be older versions of iTunes (which I have used since 2002).

  (2) in my file, there is a 'Music' (8 GB) folder, which contains:

  a "iTunes" folder that contains nothing;

  (b) a folder "iTunes 1 ' which contains:

  (1) a folder iTunes Media that contains 'TV shows', 'music' and 'downloads '.

  (2) yet one pouch with several subfolders.

  (3) more trash to iTunes library of old files.

  Recommendations on how to get that stuff in a single folder (or any other effective way)?  Thanks in advance!

  In iTunes prefs - advanced - make sure that the "Keep...". 'and the' copy... "box checked.

  Also check the path on the Advanced tab to see where iTunes makes the files.

  If the items are archived as indicated above, the correct path is: user account > music > iTunes > iTunes Music.

  Music is woven into the iTunes Music folder into folders by artist.

  The iTunes file has other files and folders with different files of old library, Art work etc.

  Do not move things from the Finder, or you may break the links that iTunes has created.

  iTunes is a database manager. Do all what you going to in iTunes and things work better with less chance of missing things.

  As always, you should have a backup of your iTunes in case things go wrong.

  iTunes 12.3 is not correctly synced the Notes field in Microsoft Office Outlook Contacts (but it's sync correctly the addresses and phone numbers). Apple support told me that iTunes 12.1 was the last version supporting a correct sync and sent me a link with iTunes 12.1. When installing iTunes 12.1, it woul does not open because the library containing the media, appsm and info was generated, over time, by iTunes 12.3. Thus, version 12.1 has been installed, but not working. The library, seems, is not backward compatible.
