Linksys E2000 router slow connection.

OK, so I use 2 with 2 routers, for me and my father, another for my brother and sister.  We decided to get rid of the other router and make our cisco E2000 our primary router, but everything on the router configuration has been deleted, so we had to reset upward.  I remember reading a guide to advanced setting to make my wireless speed range from 13.5MBPS to 216 Mbit/s, but I forgot what the settings was in the advance settings.  Can someone help me with the settings or if you have a link that I can go?

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER...
Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

Click on the Wireless tab > click on Advanced Wireless Settings...
Change the tag to 75 interval, change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 and click on save settings... Now let's see if you can locate your wireless network and try to connect...

  • Problem HP 6500 wireless has more and linksys E2000 router

    Hello

Just bought a HP 65000 has more the printer today and want to connect it to my wireless router, which works very well for all my other devices and worked very well for my old Epson as well.

    The router configuration:

    Security: WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode

    Channel: 6

    Band 2.4 Ghz

Configure a static ip address 192.168.1.22 for HP based on its mac address.

Sometimes printer says that it cannot find the network, which results in FAILURE messages on the wireless network test report. other times it connects, gets the right ip address, which translates as PASS messages on the test report, but it seems to disconnect again because he repeats to me it is not connected and I don't find it with any computer. The website of the printer is also not available.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your time.

  • Question re: Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g adapter and connection w/Linksys E2000 wireless router

Help! I'm at my wit's end. I just bought a Linksys E2000 router and cannot find a way to get the router to connect wireless on my HP G60-235DX laptop (running Vista) via the WPA2 setting. I know that the Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g wifi adapter is the question, and I downloaded the latest driver update... and still have the same problems.

FYI - I can connect to the computer via the internet cable from the Linksys E2000 router so I know that it is not a modem issue.

    Help... PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

Thank you, thank you, thank you...

    Paul,

I solved the problem! After almost return the router to Best Buy today during lunch, I decided to give it a try more tonight and again call LinkSys. After almost decided with the Linksys officer that they only solution is to put another card in my computer, we stumbled on the question.

We have gone to 5.0 GHz to 2.4 and spent the 'auto' channel to channel 9.

And now my computer works like a charm (thanks also to update the driver as you instructed).

    Thank you!

  • Linksys E2000 to into acccess point/switch helps.

Okay so here's the deal, we got At & T Modem/Router upstairs, and then we had a long cable ethernet connecting here in the basement. The problem is that this allows only a connection to the local network at the same time (a problem for LAN parties and others). I do have a Linksys E2000 router however and I want to be able to use it as a switch access point.
I'm sure this is possible, but I forgot all the steps to do so.
The att modem/router is running on 192.168.1.254 and my Linksys that is directly connected is on 192.168.1.1, so I have another address in this field.
What I need to change my Linksys settings now, or do I have to change the settings for at & t?
Basic steps would be appreciated, but I am familiar with the concepts of normal network, so you mustn't it level by the low that much.
Also I will use this for Xbox Live at points so will I need to re - open all the ports on my Linksys, or at least put the DHCP to static IP Xbox to keep my NAT good?

    Thank you

  • Cannot connect my HP Photosmart c309g-m printer to my Linksys WRT54GC router. "No filtering = FAIL.

I have problems connecting my HP Photosmart c309g-m to my Linksys WRT54GC router.  The diagnostics report says "no filtering = FAIL" in all my attempts.

First I had implemented security wireless to the router with a personal WPA2 password.

Because this does not work, I spent my WPA security, given that the diagnostic report suggests that this is what he actually uses for encryption. This no longer works.

I double and triple checked the MAC address of the printer in my MAC filtering wireless settings. He was right. However, he didn't always connect.

Reluctantly, I turned MAC filtering. However, the printer still wouldn't connect.

Now, I'm out of options. All possible ideas for this problem?

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. check that the SSID is being broadcast.

    2. make sure that DHCP is active.

    3. don't use MAC filtering (it is not a security measure, in any case).

4 change the channel from router to 11.

  • Help! I need to connect Linksys WAP4400N 3 to an existing linksys WRT350N router

    Please someone help me.

I have a modem connected to a router (Linksys WRT350N). The router is connected to a PC and then connected wireless to 3 laptops. Everything works very well.

Now I need to extend the network to 2 other floors and so just bought 3 Access Points (WAP4400N). The plan is to make a wired connection to router for APs on each floor. The router is on the ground floor. I asked the CAT5e cables to the location of the router for the 2 floors where the APs will be.

Now, this is my problem: when I'm on the upper floors and plug the cables directly on my laptop (AP off and not connected to the cable) I can connect to the internet with the cable connected to the router on the ground floor. I can also connect to the internet via the AP when it is connected to and sitting on the same table as the router on the ground of grongd. However when I take the AP to the upper floors and then connect the cables already thrown for this on the uppr floors I am unable to connect to the internet, but get a 'LIMITED CONNECTIVITY' message.

Please can someone give an instruction step by step how install and configure a Linksys WRT350 Wireless Router to a Linksys WAP4400N Access Point

NB. whenever I tried to select automatic DHCP against IP STATIC on the WAP4400N installer it will just in an endless "Please WAIT... RESTART SYSTEM' and the screen remains like this for. So I was able to use STATIC IP in the WAP4400N configuration.

Since yesterday and today, I have been on it.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Kind regards.

Well done to death. You advice was more useful. However, I think I need to make this post

The problem has been as a result of lower cable at my provider. The network is running smoothly. Has been in place since last week when I replaced the lower quality cat5e cable cat5e cable.

A Board here please be careful and make sure you complete the cable correctly. A bad end can lead to connection problems I discovered in this case when my team confidence terminated cable incorrectly.

Network is up to & operational

Thank you death your help has been invaluable.

  • Slow connection without wire-Intel 3945ABG card on Inspiron E1405

I've never noticed this problem before because I never had a more than 5 Mbps connection. But a few weeks I had a 15Mbps internet connection cable and am using a Linksys WRT54GS router with him. My laptop (Inspiron E1405) never seems to get 5Mbps > 4 - the wireless. I've finally isolated the problem on my laptop, after test with a friend too, where it was stuck at 4-5 Mbps too. When I directly connect the modem (ethernet), I get the expected 17-19 MB/s, so my ISP is not at fault.

I've been watching online solutions, and here is what I tried so far, but without positive result:

1 tried to use different channels on the router (1-11).

    2. I tried a Linksys tech support - they suggested a few settings more to the router... no permit.

    3. update my Intel wireless drivers... has the last being now... but no effect.

    4. have you tried using Intel PROSet/Wireless manage my connection and Windows too, both give me the same slow speeds.

    5. uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for my wireless card several times.

I have another laptop with Vista, and who gets at least 15-17 Mbps on the wireless. I am now at a loss and plan to test external wireless card, so I can at least isolate the problem of my wireless card.

I am currently using XP Professional Service Pack 3.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You need Virtual WiFi:

You may not have that unless you try to connect to other WiFi devices via your computer and
many WiFi devices and their drivers do not correctly support the virtual pilot.

Check with the manufacturer of system and/or support updated real manufacturer Sites and WiFi device drivers.
(Which is also updating the driver virtual.) If no new drivers WiFi are available then re - install the present
    one.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version.
(Those become your fonts of rescue system manufacturer).

Repeat for network card (NIC) and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as
Windows 7 like the updated drivers.
