Linksys E900 - always listening on port 80

I just bought a Linksys E900. Even with all access remote triggering, when I scan my public IP, I see port 80 open and Linksys E900 listen to this.

Any idea on what is happening?

  • How do the 5 server not listening on ports 80 and 443

I want to configure an Apache Server on a Linux virtual machine (using the last VirtualBox) on my Mac running El Capitan 10.11.3.

5.0.15 server is already running on the Mac (and I want to keep it, with the exception of web services). I have disabled the sharing in the web server user interface, but it was not enough, Apache listening ports 80 and 443, prohibiting VirtualBox to listen to them and transmits them to the Linux virtual machine.

So I put comment out these lines in /Library/Server/Web/Config/Proxy/apache_serviceproxy.conf:

    #listen 80

    #listen 443

    8008 #listen

    #listen 8800

    8443 #listen

    8843 #listen

After a restart, Apache seems not to listen to ports 80 and 443 more. However, VirtualBox does not become the listener. I tried this command in the Mac terminal:

    -i sudo lsof: 80

and nothing has been returned, suggesting that something in OS X still prevents VirtualBox to listen to ports 80 and 443. If I try to convey some random host port of Mac to port 80 in the virtual machine, then I can my virtualized server access from Safari on the Mac host via the custom port said. But I would use the standard port 80.

    Any help really appreciated.

Instead of commenting, assign a specific IP for the server listen instead of * (which means that all the IP addresses). This is only to the server on port 80 and 443 in this config file. I sometimes give an additional IP address to the Ether. Your Linux Machine can connect to the second IP address or the first initial assigned to your server depending on your configuration.

Server is very aggressive in it's use ports, he leaves so all services to operate, even if you have the use of ports to other IP addresses.

  • Cisco Pix Firewall SSH listening on port 2022

    Hello

Is it possible to tell the pix to listen on port 2022 for ssh?

    My ISP blocked port 22

    Kind regards

    Edwin Gerritsen

Well thought out but unfortunately, that this will not work. The only way we could do something like this would be to use a device (such as a router IOS) upstream to the port translation (similar to the idea above). Hit the device on port 2022 upstream and have this device translated the port of destination to 22 and send it down to the PIX.

There is no mechanism to change the listening port for SSH on the PIX.

  • primary and standby - port listening and listening DB port scan

    Hello

I have two node RAC (11.2.0.3) on Windows 2008R2 and this will serve as a primary database. We have defined scan port listener and listener of the DB in 1521. Now, let's put standby database in two node RAC on virtual machines. Waiting for the database, the two scan listening port and listening DB port should be the same (1521) as main or should we give another port number.

    Hello

Is it possible to change the IP address to SCAN listener or listener to DB.

Yes, it is possible to change IP address to scan and listener of the DB.

To scan all what you need to do is remove the resource from scan

    srvctl remove scan_listener

    srvctl remove scan

Once did make changes to the OS level (in the file DNS or hosts) according to what is used and add back scanning resources

    srvctl add scan n [k ] [ s /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]]

    srvctl add scan_listener [-l ] [-s] [Pei [TCP:][/ IPC:] [/ NMP:] [/ TCPS:] [/ SDP:]]

Or if you have a different set of intellectual property is configured, then you can do the following without remove and add the resources back

    srvctl change scan - n

    srvctl change scan_listener {u: Pei [TCP:][/ IPC:] [/ NMP:] [/ TCPS:] [/ SDP:]}

And you can also change the listener node as follows intellectual property details

    srvctl change applications {[n - one /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]] |} [-S /[/ if1 [| if2 |...]]]} [u {public static | dhcp | mixed}] [-e ] [ -l ] [-r ] [-t [:][,[:]...]] [-v].

    srvctl change the listening port [-l ] [o ] [Pei "[TCP:][,...]"] [/ CIB :] [/ NMP :] [/ EPTC :] [/ SDP :] "] [-u ] [-k ]

I'll put the listener to SCAN and listening port of DB in 1521 in Physical standby database as well. Regarding the information you provided that this should also be acceptable. Please provide your opinion on that.

Yes, it is acceptable, you can proceed to the same

I hope that the above answers your question.

  • Replica server not to listen on port 443

    Hello

We took a little POC with view 4.6 and we are very happy about it.

Setup consist of very few users in different positions in society (about 10 now) to test the behavior and one view connection server; We are about to upgrade to view 5 and so to ensure the continuity of our users and to learn how to perform this kind of task for the future, that we wanted to add a replica server to be able to update without interruption.

Installing the replica and even if it works I can not connect to the replica with HTTP but HTTPS Server alone and I don't understand why.

The original connection to the server let me choose by the client and it works with the two protocols and in fact I can see that it is listening on both ports using netstat, while the replication server listens on port 80 only.

Windows Firewall is down for the moment to facilitate troubleshooting.

The replica VM server has been deployed using the same model of Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise (ENG) as the initial login server.

In the display manager, we are not forcing the HTTPS connection.

We are not tunneling connections through the server at the moment and we are interested in continuing to work in this way.

    We use PCoIP.

    Here are my questions:

    1. is there a reason why the replica server doesn't allow me to connect with SSL?

    2. because we intend to charge the balance two servers, is it possible to see which users are connected to the server that if we aren't tunnelling connections? (I noticed that if we connections tunnell "Security Server" field is filled with every line of every customer in the display manager but if we do not have connection tunnell is right remains empty)

Thank you for your help in advance

    1. chances are that you disabled the "use SSL" option in the admin UI before installing the replica, which is a global setting, but had not yet restarted your server connection original change be taken into account, that is why the reply was listening on HTTP only, but the first CS was still on HTTPS. If you had restarted your origin server before you check this box would also be listening on HTTP.

    2. No, there is no way in the current version to see the Admin UI which server connection session has been negotiated through if the tunnel is disabled and the PCoIP secure gateway component is not in use. Once the established session is that there is no direct cost to the login server in this mode.

    a. How can I determine whether version hardware version 1 og 2.

    b. making a portscanning on the Linksys WRT1900ACS for the internet I found that several ports where free.

When I went into the Setup, I get only portforwarded 20/21.

But the router WRT1900ACS didn t show this when it has been planned, why?

I now that the QNAP may change the port settings, but I do not have "done this or asked for it", but why it does not appear

When I log in the WRT1900ACS via Smart Wi - Fi.

  • Router Linksys E900

Good afternoon, and pardon the interruption. My name is Raymond Johnson Jr. and I was just curious to know what the serial number for a router E900 was and where I could buy the product. However, I also try to find out if the update of the firmware has been on the product before I bought it. I'm not able to contact the service to the customer for any question, until after I buy the product, but it is not the same version so I found this kind of weird. Likewise, I use linksys for a long time and am in need to get the product for internet connection of my mother. Now, if the response does not know it's quite good, but I would like to know if I can pass the router for my mother. We thank anyone so assistance.

P.S. When did this product come out or when it is launched?

It's confusing because the E900 has been out for a long time.

You can purchase directly from the site Web of Linksys.

  • is it possible to let the Embedded PL/SQL gateway to listen on port 80?

I installed 3.1.2 on XE apex. I tried to let it listen on 80, but it doesn't work. Is it possible to listen on 80? If Yes, what additional step I have to do?

    I tried this command

    but http does not start,

but it works if I use default 8080.

    EXEC DBMS_XDB. SETHTTPPORT (8080);

    Any comments to http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/01/xe-changing-default-http-port.html:

It seems that you are working under Linux (os root user). It is not easy to use a port below 1024 for Oracle because it takes the oracle process runs as root. It is not advisable.

    The bottom line:
-You can easily change the port on Linux, but not below 1024!
-You can configure a plain Apache as proxy in the 10th, it is advisable anyway.

For the configuration of Apache as proxy to the XE, you can find more information here:

  • How to install the firmware for the router LinkSys E900 update?

    Hello

I use Mac 10.7.5 and a few months back had bought E900 wireless router.  He has installed 1.0.03 firmware and I noticed there is a 1.0.04)is update.  I downloaded the update, which is a sync .bin file, but I don't have a CD burner, or access to a Windows machine.  How can I install the update of the firmware?

    Thanks,-Dave

Just, simple, with your wired computer (never wireless) access the GUI of the router and perform the update of the firmware.  Just point to the .bin file and you leave.  Make sure you reset the router and reconfigure it once you're done hard.

  • After the upgrade to 6, security server does not change the listening Port

Came across a weird situation where after upgrading a server security 6.1.0 - 2509221, it does not change the listening SSL port during the upgrade, it was not on the standard SSL port.

It was initially configured to listen on 444 before the upgrade, after the upgrade, I tried to go back to 443 and a netstat-ban shows that it is listening on port 444.

I double checked the config.properties file and there is no entry for serverPort, and configuration shows 443 in the admin View handler.

-Re-apply the configuration via the web page does no change, always tuned to 444.

-Don't restart the service of security server no change, still plays on 444.

-Restart of the server, no change, still plays on 444.

-Statically placed serverPort = 443 in the config.properties, always tuned to 444.

All ports are verified open, 443, 444 and so I think I could have hit a bug. Someone else has security servers that listen on non-standard ports SSL?

A complete reinstallation of the Security server is provided, changing the port to listen 443, shouldn't have to do that well.

You checked config.properties, but did you check in locked.properties for the port setting see if it's been moved there before and during the upgrade? Locked.Properties replaces all the configuration settings.

  • Listening port

    Hello

I'm new to the development of Blackberry applications. I create a Java - Push application listens to. I could do the work of application (available with Blackberry JDE) HTTPPushDemo. But one point is not clear for me. In the demo, we use 100: port of push server and listen on client applications. I understand that we can use any port other that the 4 small ones. If I use port: 120 to push server and if there are multiple applications on the phone to listen to port: 120 (my request listening and other applications listening), how to make sure that it will reach my application only? Will there be port conflicts?

    Thank you

    Thomas

you try to open the designated port grow in your App if it is already in use by another application that you get an exception. you add 1 to your port number and try again. Once you have opened your push port successfully, you call a Web service and save the device with the PIN and the port opened successfully.

  • Gateway transport seems to start web listening port

Tried to install 3.5 gateway Transport under CentOS 6.x. I can start the process and I see a few items in the list of processes for it, but I see nothing listening on port 80 by looking at the output of netstat and, of course, "nothing to see when you try to access the web gui.

    Any ideas?

Make sure that your host name is in your hosts file.  The HTTP daemon uses the hosts file to determine what IP address to listen.

    )

    )
