  Title says it all. When you apply an effect of fluidity to a layer, it should be possible to exclude some pixels of the effect using a mask in the drop-down menu "Gel mask area".

  However, this does not work. the tool just liquefies everything regardless of the mask?

  Any ideas or is this a known bug.

  Start a new project.

  Make a composition.

  Do a solid (size of the model).

  Apply an effect to generate something that you can clearly see liquefaction (grid, fractal noise, set all the blocks, etc.).

  Precompose that (move all attributes).

  Apply a mask, the value none.

  Apply the effect to liquefy.

  Set the mask to be the gel mask.

  Brush the brush on it liquefy. The mask should prevent any effect to liquefy.

  This is what I have and it works beautifully. I do not animate the mask and I suspect that it is perhaps the issue. If I've just been through works for you, but does not work with a mask of animation, so it is possible that the underlying structure of the plugin can not deal with animated masks.

  Try to use only a small part of the image when moving to fluidity rather than the entire document.

  Using the marquee tool, select a part of the whole image you want to edit in the fluidity.

  It is much easier for the graphics driver and the OS to process and sort of the recommended method for improved workflows.

  If you have an image open in Photoshop 80 MB, and then you open fluidity, this set 80 MB opens in fluidity.

  If you marked a small piece of the complete picture, let's say 1/8th of it, then only 10 MB gets opened in fluidity.   Computers as it is smaller.

  I know that Lightroom does not have the liquefy tool, but I surely wish it did!  I feel like it would be extremely helpful for my work flow if I didn't have to run both Photoshop and Lightroom for a simple as task liquefy.  @Adobe if you PLEASE consider this in your next update < 3

  Sorry for this frustrating problem. I looked through our bugs database, but could find no evidence of this particular issue. In the current versions of After Effects, it works as expected.

  You can try standard troubleshooting techniques, such as the sacking of the preferences, to work around the problem. If this does not work, try reinstalling After Effects.

  In fact, you are applying fluidity with the layer mask selected instead of your Image layer.

  That's why you get this warning and the white screen.

I Googled it and has all the walk instructions follow-up and those step by step more and more and more and those who do not work either. Go to 8 bits is not an option for me. • Liquefy tool stopped working properly need help ASAP!

  OK, so last night, I used the Liquify tool on a selected area of the image and it worked fine. Well, now when I select my domain and try to use it, it just distorts the space and does nothing else. The options and display of fluidity never developed. I think it's just repeating what I did to liquefy the last time that I used it instead of giving me the opportunity to do what I have to do. It just won't let me do SOMETHING with the tool other than warping (what I think is the "repetition" of the previous use effects) everything else in photoshop works very well for me, that's the only problem I have.   Are you clicking on the fluidity of everything at the top of the menu filter where the last used filter has a Cmd / Ctrl + F shortcut, or in its usual position below the menu? If the former then hold down the Opt/Alt key when you click the top element (or pressing Cmd / Ctrl + F) to open the dialog filter instead of just re - apply the last used filter.

  

• Liquefy tool and layers

  I try to use the tool "Push left" to change a diaper, but it takes the layer above it as a guide to know where exactly to push pixels. Liquefy opens a window on top of the normal and only displays the layer I'm working, so I have no idea where to use the tool. Is it possible to get the show window menu/fluidity thing more than a single layer?

  On more than a rantish note why should open a new window at all? Tools can not only be in the normal toolbar on the left?

  Check the Show backdrop, bottom right of the dialog flow.
