  • do not have a server in the list of servers SOA trying to deploy the application

    Hello
    I'm on JDev 11.1.1.6, MDS created in 11.2.0 server.
    Trying to deploy a simple composite test in the application server installed with JDeveloper.
    I see no "SOA servers" in the list.
    Administration server is up and running, is so that managed, Node Manager seems fine, not to use proxy in JDev preferenxes, the connection status of the Application Server is very well put to test.
    I've seen quite a few comments on the same subject, but so far didn't come to those who give a solution that works for my case. Any trusted is welcome.

    No, it isn't. Sorry, what it has to do with my problem?

    If you have not soa-infra app, then SOA Suite is not installed/configured for your domain name... You need SOA Suite to deploy composites...

  • Change Netbios Computernames to get the list of servers

    Hi all

    I tried to change the name of computer netbios for multiple computers by using a script PowerCLI and came to a bit of trouble.  Basically, I found the IP address of each computer, string split each IP address and then reconstructing the substrings use to rename computers.

    Here is the script that I managed to put together:

    #Getting list of IP addresses
    $a = Get - VM | %{
    foreach ($nic as $_.) Guest.Nics) {}
    Write-output $nic. IPAddress
    }
    }
    # String split IP addresses
    $b = {foreach ($i in $a)
    $i.split(".") Write-output
    }

    New #Creating NetBios Computername of each IP address
    $c = 2
    $d = 3

    $e = while ($c - 10) {}

    « 5 » + $b [$c] + $b [$d] ;
    $c += 4;
    $d = 4;

    }

    #Switch each server of the old name with a new name matching

    foreach ($i in $a) {}

    get-wmiobject win32_computersystem - computername $i |

    foreach-object {$_.} Rename ($e)}
    }

    I was getting an exit that suggests that the script works and the computernames were changed, but when I check the looks that they all remained the same.  I think the script could be ok up to the part where I try to change the old name and the new, and somehow, it is not able to use the array of new names in the for $e do.

    Sorry if my script is messy or just completely wrong.  Any comments would be immensely appreciated and please feel free to add suggestions or questions!

    Thank you very much!

    I missed the fact that $e can contain an array in your script.

    If you cannot pass an array, but you must specify a specific item in the table to the Rename method.

    Try to change the last part of your script as follows

    #Switch each server of the old name with a new name matching

    for ($i = 0; $i - lt $$a.count; $i ++) {}
    get-wmiobject win32_computersystem - computername $a [$i] | foreach-object {$_.} Rename ($e [$i])}
    }

  • Whitelist for the installation of the grey list

    I tried to follow the instructions in the manual of the Apple server to add servers to the white list for not beeing grey listed, but I can't make it work.

    Followed the following steps:

    Add servers known to a whitelist

    When you create a whitelist, you list of servers that are known good servers.

    1. Create a text file:touch host-whitelist.txt
    2. Change the text file:vi host-whitelist.txt
    3. Add the following three lines, replacing the name on the third line with the name of the mail server you want to whitelist:
    4. mail:command = writeSettings
    5. mail:skipReadSettings = yes
    6. mail:configuration:postfix:host_whitelist:_array_index:0 = "goodMailServer"
    7. Load these settings in serveradmin:sudo serveradmin command < host-whitelist.txt

    The host file - whitelist.txt have I put in place since then multiply the servers like this:

    command: mail = writeSettings

    mail: skipReadSettings = yes

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:0 = 'Server1 '.

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:1 = 'Server2 '.

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:2 = 'server' 3

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:3 = 'server' 4

    e-mail: configuration: postfix: host_whitelist:_array_index:4 = 'Server5 '.

    When I execute thesudo serveradmin command < host-whitelist.txt do I get the following error:  command must be of the form 'serveradmin command service:command = command_name'

    Do I did wrong here?

    Certainly, you have an error in your command line entry, or host - whitelist.txt is empty.

  • How to remove or clean the server taken out of service/absence list

    In the "Server" application, whenever it is launched, it displays a list of servers that have either been downgraded or does not exist (eg..) (local).

    Is there a way to clean this list?

    Quit the application server, and then open the XML file

    ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Server.v4.plist

    with a text editor like BBEdit/TextWrangler or with nano in the Terminal. (the file is always named v4 - even if your.app is v5.x)

    In this file, you will find a beginning of area with the key 'recent servers"followed by a table, then a dict for all servers in your list.

    Just remove all the areas of the dict to the servers that you want to remove from your list (including < dict > < / dict >), save the file, launch the.app again and there you go.

    The other alternative is, you just rename or delete the file and start from scratch.

    I hope this helps.

  • Change VLAN of a list of virtual machines and then force a reboot.

    I start with a script that I found in this forum - I'm new here and just try to wrap your head around this code... so apologies if this is Basic for all the world

    # VCenter you plug too

    $vcserver = "MyVcenter.somewhere.local".

    SE connect-VIServer $vcserver

    # Loop to make changes to the network card from the list of servers that needs to be changed

    $serverlist = get-Content "C:\Scripts\vlan_Test\vms.txt".

    ForEach ($server in $serverlist)

    {

    $NIC = get-NetworkAdapter - VM $server

    All-NIC - NIC $NIC - NetworkName "1234 MyNewVLan"-confirm: $false ""

    Just add restart to this line?

    }

    Thanks in advance - I wanted to validate the name of vlan first... and if = rename abc def and restart (just in case you are really in the mood to help me )

    Yes, you can add simply restarting the virtual computer after you set the new assignment of network I've included in the script below, and I added the test to check you're going only to change the network adapters that have a VLAN specific already assigned. The script below assumes you want to just restart virtual machines where the assignment of network has been changed. If you want to restart all the virtual machines on the list, no matter if they need to change, and then pass the line of restart-vmguest out of the IF statement. In addition, I would like to add that a reboot is not necessary for this change.

    # VCenter you plug too

    $vcserver = "MyVcenter.somewhere.local".

    SE connect-VIServer $vcserver

    # Loop to make changes to the network card from the list of servers that needs to be changed

    $serverlist = get-Content "C:\Scripts\vlan_Test\vms.txt".

    {ForEach ($server in $serverlist)

    $NIC = get-NetworkAdapter - VM $server

    If ($NIC.NetworkName - like "MyOldVLan" 1233) {}

    All-NIC - NIC $NIC - NetworkName "MyNewVLan 1234" - confirm: $false

    restart-VMGuest - VM $server

    }

    }

  • Overview of the data in environmental assessments through different essbase servers

    Hi all

    We are on 11.1.2.3 of the EMP. In our EAS Prod, I signed up using my ID AD user and added the two (prod one, a dev) essbase servers on the essbase server list. I was able to add two essbase servers successfully. Now, when I spotted the cube in dev data it gives me the error "cannot connect to the olap service. Unable to connect to the Essbase server. "Error: Essbase Error (1051293): connection fails due to invalid credentials". This may not be true because I wouldn't be able to expand the list of servers essbase and drill down to the database in order to preview if the credentials were wrong. Also I am able to see the contours and Calc scripts very well. I am able to get an overview of the data on the cube prod very well.

    Now, the same thing happens when I try to preview data into essbase cube prod from Dev EAS. Which means can't preview data only on the server dev essbase cubes from dev EAS and when I try to get an overview of the data on a cube of prod from Dev EAS I get the same error of invalid login credentials.

    Could someone please help me understand if this is a bug or if this is how they intended to work? Because we have just upgraded to 11.1.1.4 and we managed to get an overview of the data in any essbase server any EAS service, we used.

    No SSL or Single Sign-on, were used. Only Active Directory credentials. It only happens with an AD ID and not a native directory ID. Please suggest on how this can be fixed.

    Thank you

    Ted.

    I logged this with Oracle and here is their answer copy / pasted

    "

    The problem that you have declared in the RS is a desired behavior. This behaviour was observed in the latest versions, only 11.1.2.x.

    In the previous version we can get an overview of the data for any Essbase server added to any console of regional service.

    But environmental form 11.1.2.x this behavior has been changed.

    We checked with the development on this more team early, and according to the development team, this is a behavior of design.

    As dev environment and Prod environment have different registers, the data preview would work if Dev Essbase server added to the Dev EAS only. as the same is valid for the production or test environments.

    Because same problem has been reported earlier, we train support raised a bug with the development team after the issue of reproduction.

    But the development team did not have this accepted as bug that this behavior is by design.

    Later, we changed this bug at a request of enchantment with the development team to change this behavior.

    Bug 14622693 - OVERVIEW OF THE ESSBASE REMOTE FAILURE HOST DATA when it is CONNECTED TO EAS

    If this improvement asked gets approved by the development team, so it would be integrated in the future release him.

    Thank you

    Ted.

  • Virtualization of servers of very large files

    Hello world

    As the subjects that I found on this topic are quite old and advanced capabilities of ESX, I create a new.

    We are now virtualize most IS infrastructure, on ESXi servers connected to the SAN storage with Enterprise Plus licenses.

    In the list of servers, we have 5 major plysical Windows file servers, with millions on the files for 2 to 5 terabytes of data according to the server.

    Technically, we could create several large 2 TB vmdk files and use the Disk Manager Windows agregate volumes.

    Backup of all servers is accomplished using Veeam Backup and replication, to quickly perform a full backup and restore of servers (current solution is TSM, and a complete restoration of the largest server is estimated at one week that we use only redundant backups of files).

    However, if it is technically possible, we have not any idea of stability and performance.

    Someone knows the server virtualization?

    Even if VMware support this virtualization, it's a recommended solution?

    You will encounter some limitations to us?

    We have other alternatives to replace physical servers (for example before boxes NAS connected to SAN one allowing the equivalent functionality to windows, such as advertisements and VSS integration for users), but if possible, we would prefer to keep VMware solutions to virtualize servers.

    Thanks for any information on your experience.

    David Druard

    Andrew M says:

    If you really need a volume is greater than 2 TB disks dynamic comments is so in your case, the only solution.

    Don't forget to take the vmdk of LUNS in the same RAID Group (just to not add physical dependence).

    André

    I agree, however, an alternative is to mount points can be used to "Extend" the file system by mounting a file that points to another logic unit number in the file existing within the OS System.

  • List virtual machines and their DNS server settings

    I try to list virtual machines and their primary and secondary DNS server addresses.  Are the cmdlets in vmware that can do this, or would I need to use the invoke-script command.  I have the list of virtual machines and I want to list them all with their DNS server addresses.

    I tried to use the wmi objects such as:

    Win32_networkadapterconfiguration get-wmiobject - computername "servername |

    Select name, DNSServerSearchOrder

    It would give me the specific server name and addresses of dns.

    But I need the list of servernames which I would like to list some and their

    DNSserversearchorder settings (DNS settings)

    I tried to put the servernames list in a text file using

    Get - vm | Export-csv C:\computername.txt - notype

    Then I used the get-content command and the pipe in the get-wmiobject

    command like below:

    $servers = get-Content c:\computername.txt

    ForEach ($server in $servers)

    {get-wmiobject Win32_networkadapterconfiguration - computername $server

    | where {$_.} IPEnabled-fits 'True'} | Select-object

    name, DNSServerSearchOrder

    But when I run this command fails with errors such as a pipe empty

    element is not allowed.  I don't know if the above script has all synatx

    error or what is the best way to get a list of servers and their dns server

    Parameters.

    I know the wmiobject maybe out of this range in these newsgroups but there at - it a script in powershell, vmware or windows powershell to get a list of servername (which are mostly VMS) and their DNS server settings.

    Try the following script to get the DNS search order:

    Get-Content c:\computername.txt | `
    ForEach-Object {
      Get-WMIObject Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration -Computername $_ | `
        Where-Object {$_.IPEnabled -match "True"} | `
        Select-Object -property DNSHostName,DNSServerSearchOrder
