You can find the uninstaller for Java folder in the C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information folder.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.

Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Click Start, run and enter the following command:

regsvr32 appwiz.cpl

Click OK and you should see a message like this:

Please post a question only once in these forums.  Unlike chat rooms, posting several times not you will get answers more quickly.  In fact, because the responses and the responses can be split between multiple threads, it can take even more time before you get the answer you want and you will probably see the same recommendations and requests further information in multiple threads (and when a notice of the administrator, the son will be merged anyway).  Please be patient and someone will get back to you later.  It also makes it more difficult for people seeking answers to similar problems, because they think that they have several different situations that could help them when in fact it's the same situation only duplicate and so they must travel more threads - and is not good.

Thanks and good luck!

• Can I remove updates safely from the last 3 years for Microsoft and windows? From Add/Remove programs

I was in my Add/Remove programs and I see updates 3 years back for windows and microsoft and they take place, so I would like to know if it is safe to delete all of these updates from my computer. If they are updates would be the most ancient not be updated to a newer version. I was told not to ever take off, but they fill the computer then why we have to keep?

• KB2728973 does not appear in the list, add / remove programs

Hi, I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition with service pack 3 is installed, and KB2728973 is displayed as being installed on the Microsoft update site, but KB2728973 does not appear in the list, add / remove programs. The rest of July for Windows XP updates appear as being installed on the two site update of Microsoft and adding list / remove programs, it seems strange that KB2728973 does not work. It is important that KB2728973 does not appear in the list of add / remove programs? or do I need to do more to install it? I also tried to manually install the KB2728973, but again, he did not appear in the list Add / Remove programs. I understand that there is a position similar to mine, but I read it, and I realized that the question of the poster was a bit different from mine. I also wanted to take the time to mention that the automatic updates of Windows listed KB2728973 as being installed successfully, but it always seems strange that KB2728973 does not appear in the list, add / remove programs. I also checked in C:\WINDOWS, and there wasn't any folder $NtUninstall to KB2728973. Oh, and Yes, I have "Show updates" checked in Add / Remove programs.   Contribution to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

It is normal that some updates to not appear in the list of add / remove programs in the control panel for various reasons, but in this case, it will update the entries in the untrusted certificates store then to see if it is installed, you can check if the newly revoked certificates are listed.

Here is a link to a page that explains the changes he brings (the certificates that have been revoked):

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/advisory/2728973

Scroll down to the section that has the right:

How can [B] after you apply the update, I check the certificates in the Microsoft Untrusted Certificates Store? [/ B]

If you have no events in Event Viewer, you can open IE and click on Internet Options - Content tab - then in the Middle under "Certificates" click on "Certificates" and then click on the arrow to scroll to the right and click the "Untrusted publishers" tab.  You should see all those listed in the MS article here.

It also creates this key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software \Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Windows\ {C3C986D6-06B1-43BF-90DD-BE30756C00DE}

where it lists what Windows Update of roots revoked.

• In "Add/Remove Programs" he has no option to remove when a program is selected in the populated list?

I can see all of the programs listed in Add/Remove Programs option in the control panel.  When I select a program in the list, there is no option to remove / uninstall the program.  I tried a lot of programs and none give me the option?

Hello

Method 1.
Reregister the install and check engine.
a. Click Start, click Accessories and then click command prompt.
b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

MSIExec /Unregister

MSIExec/regserver

Method 2.
Check if you can in safe mode. Note: you will not be able to uninstall programs in safe mode. It's just to check if you can.
a. refer to the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

Method 3.
It seems that there is a background app that launches the installer of Windows. We can perform a boot minimum troubleshooting to find the same thing. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

• How to uninstall a program in Add/Remove programs which does not list the option "Change/Remove.

> I'm trying to uninstall and reinstall my HP printer.

> In my Add/Remove Programs list, there are several HP programs listed and I started to remove them (has done this in the past with no problems).

> The last of them, I clicked on delete does not give me the options to 'Change/Remove '. The program is called "HP PSC700 Series" and seems to be the main

part of the installed software - it is a 243Mbs size.

What I tried:

> I have reinstalled the printer from the CD program in the hope that it can replace every thing and then I could uninstall correctly - that didn't work.

> Look in C:\Program Files - there was no Hewlett Packard folder

> Look in the start menu > all programs - there was a list of Hewlett Packard who has expanded the. When extended out, he said "empty folder".

> Posted the problem on the HP Forum twice in two months, got no response.

> Learned how to remove the registry keys under "Software" in HKEY Local Machine and HKEY Current User. Also under HKEY USERS > default > Software.

None of this has worked.

> Gave a link to a family member to Support MS - "How to manually remove programs from the Add/Remove tool" I followed these instructions and

the program remains still present in Add/Remove programs.

Does anyone know how I can remove this program that has no program folder, no registry keys, but still works? I can still print from this computer, but cannot access the HP Director (a function to scan, print, clean & align print head, etc.), which is what started this process of trying to uninstall/reinstall the program.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

My system is;

Dell Dimension 4550

Windows XP Pro w/SP-3 (version 2002)

Of photo TakerYN...

This message can be considered "solved!" I was finally able to remove the program with the HP disk. I tried to reinstall (overwrite) the program, but I received a message that the installer has detected that the program is already installed. I wanted to try it manually, so I 'opened' the disc, you click on "setup" and received the same message. At this point, I was ready to try anything and noticed the "Launcher" icon and thought, what the heck, can't hurt to try at this stage, so I clicked it. I wasn't expecting the screen, I had, who said that it would be to uninstall the program. I thought it was too good to be true and easy way (after all), but after that it's over, I checked my Add/Remove programs and my 'problem' program was gone.

Thought I would post this so anyone who might encounter the same problem can try this.

• Withdrawal of obsolete lists in the Add/Remove program list?

I'm working on the clean-up of an older system running Windows XP Pro. The system has two hard drives... whose the second crashed and burned in a fatal way. Software that has been installed on the second drive hard disappeared and is not installed on the replacement drive. The problem this presents, although perhaps minor but annoying, however, is that programs that were on the second disc appear on the Add/Remove Programs list, accessed via the Control Panel, even if they are no longer really exist on the system. Is there a good way to clean the list add/remove program entries for programs that have been lost and never be recovered due to a failure of hard drive like that? Also, are there any other proceedures recommended to clean all traces of system programs that have been lost in this way? Try to remove the traces of these programs using the Add/Remove list does not of course because the entries in the list of reference locations and files that no longer exist.

Thank you.

Download ccleaner from piriform. Click Tools > uninstall. Highlight the entries that appear, but is really installed. Then choose Delete. Reformatting is an extreme measure for a simple issue resloved. Regarding running the ccleaner registry cleaning tool, that I personally used for several years without a single incident. This does not apply to all the registry tools however.

CCleaner - home

It is also a trustworthy tool.
