Listed controlled ring button String

Hey guys,.

Is there a better way to proceed with the attached VI.

I think I want to build a state machine, but I don't know if I want to do it because I do not understand how to use the queue and how to implement it properly.

As you can see, I have a bunch of Boolean buttons to go on my main façade. They change the enum ring and it generates a hex command of a microphone.

Is there a better way then to have instructions box 13?

See you soon

Kamilan

Hi Kamilan,

Your code can be done better using a structure of the event and a while loop. No need to use a state machine, if the total number of values in the control of the ring is known. Please take a look at the attached vi. Let me know if you have any additional doubts.

Best regards,

Nitz

  • Shortcut of control ring

    Hi all

    Is it possible to assign shortcut keys
    for each of the elements in a control of the ring? Control of the ring that I
    There are currently 40 positions. My intention is to have it as follows:

    [1] Item1

    [2] Item2

    [3] Item3, etc...

    So, once the control of the ring is active, the user can type in '20' to choose the #20 element.

    I tried EVENT_KEYPRESS, but as soon as the ring of control pop ups, I can no longer trap all key events.

    Thank you

    YL

    Hi YL,.

    The feature is not available directly as you required it.

    But you can program this behavior, even if it's a little harder than it looks.

    I have attached a sample project that simulates - sort of - this behavior.

    In the project, there is a ring with some enumerated values.

    Here, the key point is that user should not click on the ring, but was able to focus on it using the tab key. As you pointed out, once the list pop up, you can't capture key events.

    You can also programmatically make the active control if it applies to your application (use SetActiveControl).

    Once the active control ring (in my code it is active immediately after starting the program) just type 2 characters numerical codes.

    Another key point: you must complete the 2 digit value. Thus, to select Item1 user must press ' 0 'and ' 1'.

    There is also a time limit. You must press the 2 digits in 0.5 seconds. Otherwise, the second digit is considered to be the first digit of a new code number. You can improve the behavior to add a delay timer so do not enter 2 digits for the number 1 to 9, but it is perhaps too much effort unless it is necessary.

    After the 2 digits are typed quickly, you can see the typed value of number on the digital indicator.

    The ring is changed only if the typed value is available in its list (1-5, 10, 15, 20, 25 are the default values, I assigned).

    The program is also subject to (ignore non-numeric entries).

    While I didn't put on the conversion from string to int (atoi function) of error checking.

    It was fun to program, I hope you find it useful too.

  • List all tabs button is missing

    This button has just disappeared all of a sudden. I have now a single group of tabs, and I can't reach any 3 other groups I had before this happened.

    I tried to close and restart Firefox, which did not help. I tried to restore the profile of last week. It worked at first, but then I clicked on the "list all tabs" button, went to another group of tabs and Bingo-TEST - lost the "list all tabs" button once again!

    It is extremely annoying. I am now using a profile restored, but I can't click the "list all tabs" button more without losing all the tabs but those in the Group of tabs I'm going. So I didn't actually tab groups more!

    Hello, the list of all tabs button appears only when you have several tabs open, so that all does not fit into the space on the tape tabs.

    to toggle the display of the tab view where you can edit groups of tabs, you can either controls, buttons and Toolbars Customize Firefox & place the groups tabsn ' anywhere on the interface or else use keyboard shortcut ctrl + shift + E.

  • How to dynamically add data in a Spark list control

    Hi, I have a spark list in one of my custom components() control(id="Cclist") and a text input control. When a value is entered in the entry of the texts, I want to dynamically add the same in the list control. I tried to do the following:

    protected function Cc_selectHandler(event:CustomEvent):void

    {

     var cctext:DisplayObject = event.data as DisplayObject
    CcList.enabled = true;
    CcListButton.enabled = true;

    CcList.addChild(cctext);

    }

    But I get an error saying "addChild() is not available in this category. "Instead, use addElement(), or change the skin. So I tried to use addElement, but apparently it is not available at all. No idea what im doing wrong?

    Add the text entered in the textinput to the dataProvider of the list in the appropriate format.

    A simple example:

  • This allows identical entries in a List control

    Hi all

    I'm putting data in a list control, but I can't make my list accept duplicate entries.

    He actually accepts the duplicates, but then I can't select them more.

    Here is an example:

    " < = xmlns:mx mx:Application ' http://www.Adobe.com/2006/MXML "applicationComplete ="init ()">

    < mx:Script >

    <! [CDATA]

    Import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;

    private var ac:ArrayCollection = new collection ArrayCollection (["a", "b", "a"]);

    private function init (): void {}

    l1.dataProvider = ac;

    }

    []] >

    < / mx:Script >

    < mx:List id = "l1" width = "100" / >

    < / mx:Application >

    This creates a nice list with the entries: 'a', 'b' and 'a'-> the problem is that I can't choose the first 'a' in the list - the selection goes to the last 'a '!

    But I need the also selectable premiera!

    Does anyone have an idea how to make it work?

    Thank you very much in advance!

    Daniel

    Which is because the flex compoenents use == to recognize the elements. Since him 'a' == '' a' the problem will remain the same.

    What you can do, thought, is to encapsulate your strings into objects.

    For example:

    myAC = new ArraCollection( [ {label:"a"} , {label:"a"} ] );

    This way, you have two separate object with the property of good label ('a').

    The above code is quite ugly, but you can do the same thing with a custom class to wrap the strings.

    It would give something like:

    myAC = new ArrayCollection( [ new MyCustomWrapper( "a" ) , new MyCustomWrapper( "a" ) ] );

    And I think that you need to implement a function to label as long as you have a custom label on the wrapper class property.

  • How to fill a control ring with chains [] array?

    How to fill a control ring with chains [] array?

    It must be karma. (Try really bad karma because I couldn't post this question in my original)

    I must have been a Really bad guy in a previous life... It's not like I'm bad in this one...

    So... what I want to do this time around? Something that I thought would be easy... Well... it's a long story... I had a simple solution, but the client wants something else. -sigh-

    Here is what they want... They want a control that allows for multiple selections to a control of the ring (or a control that allows a drop down selection menu). Bites are filled at run time because it is based on 10 000 other precedents of things this particular choice. So it must be dynamic.

    The snippet of code & images below show what I'm doing a little...

    The bottom image shows on the right bites which is filled in the control of the ring. Since the number of items / items changes, I didn't have a bunch of controls stacked on another. In addition, I have to deal with an unknown quantity of selections.

    Does anyone have a solution that can be recommended? If so, can you share the solution / idea?

    Thank you

    RayR

    I have posted a code that does something similar here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/array-of-cluster/m-p/1822451#M625032

    It uses a table hint and individual controls that are moved on top of the table and populated as needed. This approach might work for you? You would need a two-column table and only control ring, which you would fill properly whenever the currently active cell changes.

  • record data in the list control

    Hi all

    I changed a program a list item in a list control of "51" "77" by using the function NOR "ReplaceListItem (...)"

    When I left the program and looked at the list control, I have observed the list item has still "51" (instead of the expected '77').

    The question is: ' how can I permanently replace a list item in a list control.

    Thank you.

    Bob

    If I understand correctly, you have defined some items in the list control in IUR Editor, then you want to change one of them by program and have this change in the file of the IUR.

    Well, if that's what you are trying to accomplish, there is no easy way to get it: operated by program changes cancel their scope when you exit the program and not reflected in the physical files. Use the ICB ActiveX interface, save the IUR in TUI form with function (CVI_AppConvertUIRToTUI), modify programmatically the TUI file, save it and then convert it to the IUR by CVI_AppConvertTUIToUIR () format. Not a trivial task, I'm afraid, and, possibly, this task is not worth.

    An easier way is to have an external options file or a configuration file where to store items to load in the list control when you need it: this file can be edited by yourself, either programmatically or manually when you need to change some items.

  • How to dynamically add any control (digital button, boolean) to control the line and selected column

    Hello

    How to add a control (digital button, boolean) dynamically in control instead of lines and columns selected. Please suggest the idea or no matter what example code you have please share with me...

    Thank you

    Vieu

    Essentially, that's what you're looking for:

    Please note that you have to account border sizes and the label of the control so that the code does not work right out of the box. You should also check for the height and width of column and if the position is valid at all before moving around the control.

  • How to use the control ring before the G15

    Steps to set up the control ring before the G15 are difficult to follow in the guide. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi socaljd!

    Thanks for posting.

    When setting this up, there are a few things to know. In the upper part of the graph in the menu to set the dial is M, AV, TV, and P.

    M: manual mode

    AV: Aperture priority mode

    TV: In the shutter priority Mode

    Program P: mode

    In each of them, you must define what function is controlled by the dial to shoot in this mode. There are two settings to choose from, TV: shutter speed and AV: opening. For example, in mode manual m: set it to TV, the dial will control shutter speed while you are shooting in manual mode.

                                    }
                                }
                            }
                        ]
                        onTriggered: {
                            var selectedItem = dataModel.data(indexPath);

                        }
                    }
                }

    link the button to a property of an element, and then change all the elements in the datamodel. ListView reflects these changes.

  • How to disable the search in drop-down list control

    Hi all

    I'm designing a dashboard with a command prompt. In this message, I use a drop-down list control which I hope to turn off the option "search...". ».
    Does anyone know a way to disable the option 'search' in a drop-down list control, so that users can not find values on the database.

    Any kind of help appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi Laurent,.

    You can try the below workaround to hide the option "search...". "on the drop-down list.

    -Click on the dashboard to change where the dashboard prompt is present.
    -Add a text object to the page and paste the code below into it.

    -Check that you check the option 'Contains HTML markup'.
    -Save the page and run the dashboard. This should hide the option "search...". ».

    I tried this on IE and obiee version 11.1.1.6.6.

    Thank you

  • Problem with the mobile Flex list control

    Hello world.

    I have a problem with the list control in Flex mobile. I need create list in "Flex mobile" and I need that list items must have following structure. a single image, text and then another picture. How do I do this?

    Concerning

    Include a component with a custom converter.

    See the documentation for Flex: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS03d33b8076db57b9-23c04461124bbeca597-8000.html for more details.

  • Custom spark list control

    I have a spark list control that displays a dynamically imported Images tilelayout. Basically, a bunch of thumbnail Images that appear in a tile layout. I slipped active so that I can reorganize these thumbnails and everything works great except for one thing, the who. In my itemrenderer I included Image in the State "dragging", but the image does not appear in the who. I'm basically just has a square semi transparent like my, but I want to be able to actually drag my sticker. Any ideas how to do this?

    Here is my list:

    < s:List id = "ImageList1" x = "77" y = "95" width = "858" height = "412" dataProvider = "{imageAC}".

    itemRenderer = "converters. ImageACSmallItemRenderer"contentBackgroundColor ="0x000000 ".

    borderVisible = 'false' dragEnabled = "true" dropEnabled = "true" dragMoveEnabled = "true".

    allowMultipleSelection = "true" skinClass = 'skins. General.ListSkin' focusAlpha = '0' mouseMove = "getImageProxy (event)" >

    < s:layout >

    < s:TileLayout columnWidth = rowHeight = "76" "76" horizontalAlign = "center" verticalAlign = "middle".

    horizontalGap = "8" verticalGap = "8" / >

    < / s:layout >

    < / s:List >

    Here's my Itemrenderer:

    < fx:Script >

         <! [CDATA]

    import mx.utils.ObjectProxy;

    [Bindable]

    public var dataProxy:ObjectProxy;

    private function init (): void {}

    dataProxy = new ObjectProxy (data);

              }

         ]]>

    < / fx:Script >

    < s: states >

    < s: State name = "normal" / >

    < s: State name = "flat" / >

    < s: State name = "selected" / >

    < s: State name = 'slide' / >

    < / s: states >

    < mx:Image source = "{dataProxy.pathSmall}" horizontalCenter = red "0" = "0" includeIn = "normal, hovered, selected, dragging" / > "

    < / s:ItemRenderer >

    Thanks for any idea!

    Hi Bill,

    Looks like you create a new object for each ItemRenderer ContentCache, to create a single instance shared, add "static" like this:

    static public var contentCache:ContentCache = new ContentCache();

    This will ensure that the contentCache variable is shared between all of the ItemRenderers.

    In addition, in my view, there is no need to explicitly call the contentCache like this:

    contentCache.load(dataProxy.pathSmall);

    Fixing the contentCache just the contentLoader on the Image property, the way you have done should be sufficient.

    I just do a quick experiment and here is an example with an ItemRenderer that exposes the problem:

    And here's workaround with contentCache (works well for me in the AIR):

    See you soon,.
