Listening/constant system accident - Satellite A100-662

Hey guys,.
My Satellite A100-662 was angry a lot lately. I'm starting to worry because it is a question related to the processor happens routinely in playing games.
I have a Centrino Duo 1.6 GHz, 1024RAM, videocard ATI X 1400.

What is happening is that while I play the games, my screen folds. It is almost entirely covered by blue and yellow lines as those of the image (which I put in the red box):
http://I11.Photobucket.com/albums/A1...agebitmap2.jpg
This only lasts a few seconds then the computer crashes.

It is not a problem of display driver: I tried to see the drivers of Toshiba and Omega.
I have the latest BIOS drivers.
I don't understand what the problem is: I reinstalled windows 2 days ago and the problem persists.
It happens every time I use a lot of RAM or CPU in games in particular. The laptop gets very hot. Today, My Notebook Hardware Control indicates a temperature of 75 ° CPU + Celsius.

For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
My guarantee is not yet so I'll probably take my PC in the store where I bought it, I want to just give them as much information as possible so they do repairs right.
Thank you

Arthur

Looks like the graphics chip has a problem.
I doubt that the PC would crash if the LCD display has a fault.

Maybe there is accumulation of dust in the radiator and its overheating?

I would like to send the laptop to an authorized warranty repair center.

My problem is the following: your computer Satellite A100-662 begins at random, sometimes it starts the first time, and other times it starts only partially sighted power and ignition in market, drive hard s ' lighter than 1 second, the fan runs but the screen remains black.
To start, I tried several things, I had read on the Internet: removed / delivered the battery; power supply only. removed / delivered the same RAM and hard drive.
The Toshiba support me make an initialization of food and a BIOS upgrade. I also set the fan but no improvement!

  • Re: Reinstalling operating system on Satellite A100 without deleting the other existing partition

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A100-912 and have not reinstalled the operating system (Windows XP) for several years, but now I think that my laptop works well below par. I have my product recovery CD (disk recovery) and it will use for the re-installation.

I have three partitions on the HARD disk (c, d and e, respectively).

I was wandering if it would be possible to reinstall (get as long as the factory) my operating system on the c partition without erasing the data (for example my files) on partitions d and e.

I did this on a Toshiba Satellite L10 using suggestions in this forum, but I don't know how to do it on my own. Is the user interface for the recovery/re-resettlement is not the same thing, so I'm afraid to lose my data if I proceed with the re-install without knowing what to do.

Could you please say on how to make the re-installation of operating system only on the c partition without deleting (data on) other existing partitions.

    Thank you!

    > I was wandering if it would be possible to reinstall (get as long as the factory) my operating system on the c partition without erasing the data (for example my files) on partitions d and e.

No, this is not possible. The recovery disk would format the whole HARD drive and therefore the partitions created on the HARD drive would be so removed.
I recommend you to create a backup of the files before starting the recovery procedure.

  • System of Satellite A100 restart when I eject a CD CD-driver

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite A100, when I eject a CD CD-driver, computer restart.
    Could someone help me, please?

    Best regards, Robert

Which is really strange, I know that the laptop could happen again if an error has been detected.
So in my opinion that the internal CD/DVD drive could cause this strange restarts automatically.

It would be very interesting to know if the same thing will happen with a new CD/DVD drive. I think you do not have the opportunity to test this and therefore, it would be advisable to contact the service provider authorized in your country for these audits.

But wait; have you tried to update the operating system and boot from the restore CD?
Try to reinstall the OS from the original Toshiba Recovery CD and check if the same will happen in fresh, new OS.

  • Constant bluescreens on Satellite A100-712

I bought Toshiba A100-712 a few weeks ago. I have constant bluescreens when loading Windows or out of Hibernation. It takes a lot of time to load the system - maybe after 5 - 10 times. I don't know what I have to do. It seems to load Windows when the laptop is "warm-up a bit".
Some of the error codes I wrote:

    Failure of page in space unpaginated 0 x 00000050 (0xE2167A74, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000, 0x8058D575)

    or

IRQL LESS THAN OR EQUAL NO

    or

    0 X 00000019 BAD POOL HEADER

Reinstalling the CD recovery system works at all, it makes no sense - even after the appearance of the new system installation problem.
I checked the ram (Memtest), but it revealed nothing.

    Hello

It's very strange question. You did the upgrades material, is any permanent external device connected to your laptop?

If your laptop has factory hardware configuration with the use of recovery DVDs delivered something like that shouldn't happen. In my opinion, you should contact the customer Service of Toshiba partner in your country and let check the device. They test it with own HARD drive and see if the same thing will happen.

  • Satellite A100-207 - \windows\system32\config\system is corrupt

    Hello

Can someone help me with the following problem. With regard to a Toshiba Satellite A100-207 with windows XP media edition

When starting the laptop hangs with error * \windows\system32\config\system is corrupt *.

This article is the closest to the problem http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545. but the warning in the article on the point is not to use with circumspect OEM on more facilities of he made me.

I have lost the disc of recovery (recently).
But were able to boot the laptop from USB using a cutter (lite) version of windows.

The scene in the article copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system fails because the file does not exist (the other files do however).

In this folder there is a system.bak, this would solve the problems like the laptop boots windows logo screen then after 5 minutes restarts and just go around and around a certain extent.

There is also a file system.sav in the folder windows\system32\config using this all goes someway to to solve the problem, the laptop restarts and resumes product set-up with off course fails has so I don't have the recovery disk.

I would be grateful if someone could help with the problem

    Regards Garry

    > but the warning in the article on the point is not to use with circumspect OEM on more facilities of he made me.

You can ignore this warning, you have no other choice than to try to fix this system following the article in the Microsoft Knowledge base.

But to be honest, I doubt that the system would run smoothly after this work around.

I would recommend the new installation of the OS.
If you don t have a Toshiba Recovery disk, you can use a Microsoft Disk to reinstall the system. Essential drivers are available Toshiba driver Web site.

  • Satellite A100-784: fact partition system restore DVD formats

    Hi guys,.

I would ask you for help :)

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-784 with Windows Vista Home Basic OEM.
I have this Toshiba system recovery DVD. If I press F8 during start up I get to the screen where are some options (repair at startup etc.) but I'm interesting in 'Exploitation Windows System Restore'.
    I have two partitions (C:, D :), the system partition is C: :)
So, I would ask if I use this "Exploitation Windows System Restore" there he reformatted data on the D: partition as well?

If I press F8 when booting I get to the menu, I chose this computer repair and after that there are options:

    1 startup repair.)
    2 system restore.)
    Restoration complete 3 PC.) Windows
    Memory 4 Diagnostic tool.) Windows
    5. command prompt)
    6 operating system restore.) Windows

Is it possible to use one of these function just to reinstal C: partition without losing data on the D: partition?

    Thanks for the reply :)

    Hi friend

usually the system restore the c: partition fair DVD formats, so if you have two separate partitions, the restore DVD should leave the D: partition intact.
In your case I would choose point 6. (Operating system restore) that supposedly only restores the operating system, which means that it scratches the C: drive...

  • Frequency of the system on a laptop Satellite A100 - 01 L must be always high

    Hello

Because I'm a player battle field there is a problem of speed with my laptop.
    It's a portable Satellite A100 - 01 L tactfully 1.73 GHz normal system. (2 GB of RAM, 120 GB HD).

System frequency changes between 800 MHz (without hard work...) and 1.73 GHz (if it seems to be necessary). In the system BIOS can select a 800 MHz (named slow ') or a dynamic clock speed (called: 'dynamic' modus).
My question is: is it possible to set the system clock always to 1.73 GHz?

    Thank you.

HM, normally it should be also a "High" option or something as "always higher". So, I suggest you to perform an update of the bios and then to check whether this option is available.

Otherwise, you should look into the toshiba powersaver and make sure everything is up.

    I recently bought a model of Satellite A100 PSAA8U - 0S 3033 at a yard sale. Hi flottero,

It of always a little difficult to discuss these blue screens because many things could be the reason, but in most cases it s a hardware or driver problem.

If system restore doesn't work, can you try to restore Windows recovery disk settings, please? After that, you get back factory settings and so you can identify a hardware problem or software.

  • Satellite A100-906: Express player media use the reinstallation of the operating system

    Hello

I use a Toshiba Satellite A100-906. I did NOT know about what express Media Player recovery cd's and I've never used it. But now I want to know what's the point of use.

In any case I had to format my laptop and I have used the recovery cd. So now I've read that if I want to run the express media player I must first of all, insert the express media player cd stop button of my laptop and then use cd/dvd to start it.

The problem is that I find in win xp with a Windows Media Player. Something go wrong with the format (using the recovery cd)? I had to first install the express media player? and then format and reinstall xp?

If that's the problem, I, at this stage, to be able to install express media player without losing my data? I expect an answer. I hope you'll forgive my ignorance :).

    Best regards
    Harris

P.S. when I boot from the media player recovery cd express I get three options 1) crash installation 2) uninstall 3) delete all partitions. So did I express media player installed?

    Hello

So you're a bit confused. Am I wrong?
If you want to start the Express media player you n t need to insert the CD of express media player!
Express media player must be installed on the HARD drive!

You have recovered the laptop with your recovery CD Toshiba but didn't install the Express media player since the EMP CD!
    This is false.

Usually the Media Express Recovery CD drive must be run before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.
Cannot install the Express media player after using the Toshiba Recovery CD!

So first to run the CD of Express media player and then run the restore CD!

  • Shortcut keys no longer work after reinstallation of the System - Satellite A100-178

I reinstalled everything and return to my laptop as it was when I got it. As always, I have installed and uninstalled the software as I always do.
But my shortcut keys do not WORK. I tried everything, they don't work. They have worked before, but they are no more. I got the computer 2 days ago, and it's a Satellite A100-178.
    Help, please!

    Hi Bob

I put t really know what you are doing with your device. If you want to have the factory settings still it can only work with a recovery facility and I don t understand what you mean with I have installed and uninstalled the software as I always do

If you use recovery media there is nothing to install and more.

Can you please tell us what features you need exactly? This will help us identify the problem much better.

  • Satellite A100-593: should I install 64-bit or 32-bit Win Vista version

A100-593 Centrino Duo T2300, 1 GB of RAM FSB 533

I have already installed the 32-bit version. Everything works fine.

But I read 64-bit can give problems with portable computer equipment (lack of 64-bit drivers)

    http://www.tech-recipes.com/microsoft_vista_tips1426.html

on the laptop is marked vista capable, but that does not mean that pilots are ready for 64-bit.

where is the constant pleasure you receive error messages that a certain hardware driver is not signed. Or you can not burn a dvd or listen to your sound card...

Someone out there with positive ratings...?

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite A100-593 shipped with an Intel Core Duo (Yonah) CPU T2300 1.66 GHz.
According to information I found on this page does not support the CPU 64-bit (EM64T)
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core
I think that it is better to use the 32-bit version

However, the fact is that Windows Vista is not official on the market right now.
In this case there is no assurance that Vista OS will work without any problems on the laptop.

  • A few questions on my Satellite A100-PSAANL

I recently bought a Toshiba laptop (after a lot of research and looking for a room), September 14, to be more precise. Here are the specs:

Satellite A100-PSAANL - 04L 036 (A100 - 2214D is that the dealer is called I'm not able to find it anywhere else on the net). It has a CPU Core2Duo 2 GHz with 4 MB of cache (it's what me attracted) and Windows Vista business with ITW for 3 years. I felt at the top of the world, return the purchase. But since then, it has been a constant list of problems:

    1. the Flash card starts giving problems. The net says it's because of Vista, define compatibility, run as admin and many tips. None worked. Suddenly, windows will be the collection of information to send and to find a solution to the failure of program Toshiba flash Cards. Finally, I have disabled it at the cost of losing the F1 - F12 keys feature. I tried a few downloads, but no use. So I say a new update (posted October 3 files). The upgrade is of 8 records. The 3rd file fails or download it. There is in fact no third party file.

    Visit this link. http://PC.Toshiba-Asia.com/support/downloads/index.jsp?product_list=2&seriesID=3&ModelId=1112&s howtype = pilots & docid = 5678
I used my precious bandwidth for nothing.

    2. the Intel 3945 ABG card suddenly disconnects wireless router, with a message of limited connectivity. I said to myself, this is my internet connection and 2 minutes of my time to reboot the system. It is common with no difficulty, even if I have my drivers to the most recent update on the site. Once again on the site above. No use. Only waste of bandwidth consumption.

    3. I tried to register the warranty which gave an error message. I watch the guarantee search link, the site says I have only 1 year my distri says 3 years ago.

    4. I've seen in a pdf file that the buttons on the side can be used for Express media player. But I put t seem to have. Or any help for the same thing. I press the button and windows starts to CD/DVD.

    Can someone please help?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I see you have a lot of questions. If possible I'll try to give some useful advice.

    On point:

    (1) I read on FlashCard issues in different threads here in the forum. In most cases, the new update solved the problems related to the FlashCards. I checked the page of the European driver and found the Vista Toshiba value added Package that contains the utility FlashCard. It was published on 09/06/07 so I put t know why you write that the files have been published on 3 October. However

    (2) there could be several reasons why WiFi disconnects. First of all, I would recommend updating the Vista operating system to the last State. Then you should check if the WiFi signal is strong enough to make use of WLan correctly. A weak signal is sometimes suddenly disconnects. You should try to use the utility Intel ProSet wireless configuration tool to configure the WiFi network. Last but not least check this Toshiba Wlan portal for more details and proposals of solution:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    (3) I m not an expert on security issues, but I recommend you contact the service provider authorized in your country for detailed information on your warranty period.

    (4) as you probably n t know the satellite series comes with a different hardware and software configuration. Are you sure that the laptop came with preinstalled MediaPlayer Express 100%? I don t think so. With the button CD/DVD will begin operating system Windows and Windows Media Player (if the CD has been inserted) or WinDVD player (if the DVD has been inserted)

    I hope I could help
