Live Mail won't send photos

When sending photos to a person who uses Windows Live Mail they sit in the Outbox of direct Mail and not send. Sometimes I can open the email and click on send and they will go but other times that they block the machine. Note that they have been resized to 1024 x 768 and are little spikes. Help?

This seems to be a common problem in these days. I just spent an extra hour or on chat live with Comcast and straightened a few things here. I can now send and receive on the Web through Comcast. but can't send on Live Mail.

    Any suggestions?

The outgoing Comcast server requires authentication.

Make sure you check the box "outgoing server requires authentication" and then enter your e-mail address from Comcast and password as the 'account name' and 'password'.  See these directions--> http://www.cox.com/business/tulsa/support/data/article.cox?articleId=99fead40-6c21-11e0-4e73-000000000000

I get the following message is displayed:

This may be due to having some settings incorrectly set for the account, check if all people.

If you go to the BTs Web page for his email in your browser, can connect to your email it using the same user name and password? It will prove that BT always considers your name and password is the same as you think it is i.e. someones not hacked into and changed it.

NOTE: make note of what you change, so you can reset properly IF it does not help.

My old email BT used to sometimes fail like this, and after a while he came back. Unless this happened already for a day or two, it is best to wait until tomorrow to see if its fixed as if by magic (server problem to maybe BT?), and if its still not to ask BT on their forum as well - https://community.bt.com/t5/Email-and-Apps/ct-p/EmailandApps

  • How to change the e-mail client to send photos in XP

I am running Windows XP. Using Windows images and faxes - do I want to send some pictures. However, when I right click on a picture to post and get the option ' send to ' and choose 'Recipient' I do not get a choice of what mail client to use. It just sends me to a block of connection to Hotmail at https://login.live.com.  I do not use Hotmail and I want to use my default mail client, and I wonder why I'm not as Windows?

Someone know how I could possibly change this, or is it impossible to have a choice for sending photos?

It is a small netbook computer that I use when I travel I use a webmail from my provider regular mail client. On my desktop at home, I use Thunderbird and it captures images that I would like to mail. I suppose as well that a mail client based on the web can never be recognized as an e-mail client to send photos directly from Windows images and faxes, right?

Unfortunately a webmail client will not work.

I have two messages hung in the OUTPUT area. All I see is the status area that says 'Send 2 messages' and 'run '. I can't delete these messages and I can't access any other part of the Live Mail now.

There is no error message shown in the "Errors" tab

I closed the application by using the Task Manager, but everytime I open Live Mail, I'm right back to the same point.

Live Mail was "running" now for over an hour.

How can I stop/bypass/interruption this process so I can access my email again accounts?

  • Windows Live Mail will not send e-mail

How can I get my Windows Live Mail to begin to send emails again? He had been working well for years until yesterday. I get this error message:
The connection to the server has failed.

    Subject 'Test '.
    Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 10060

Thanks for your help. I found the solution on the Comcast Xfinity support page. It was just a question of the evolution of port 25 to port 465.

Apparently, they have sent messages to customers, but most of us have seen as SPAM and ignored.
