load power

I bought a charger USB multiport. It works for my phone and my friend Kindle. But it does not load my Slate7. Why not? Does anyone know?

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

How current is the USB duplicator provide?  A USB 2.0 standard provides only 500 my current.

The 7 Slate Tablet needs 2, 000mA (2 Amps) of current to load correctly.

  • HP G620470CA: G62 - 470 CA do not load - power connector?

    I'm helping a friend with a laptop HP G62 - 470 CA.  It runs Windows 7Home Premium.

I'm a geek of very experienced computer hardware, since 1968, but only opened about 10 modern laptops - always with the help of downloaded books.

The laptop in question has only Wi - Fi networks, and I have only a Linux computer with a dial-up connection, so there is no way to connect the laptop directly to the internet from here.  And I can't view the videos.

The problem with the power connector - a common, but I've read all morning and have not yet find an answer.  There seems to be some interactions between the power brick, power conenctor, battery and motherboard problems.

Like many users, she found her power connector is intermittent, needing stirring so he could connect. As I had fixed the old laptop of his brother with a work of pig after it (soldered to the motherboard) power connector went wobbly, she asked me to look at.

When she showed me the machine, the battery was too dead to allow start-up of the machine completely.  The charge LED is not come yet a moment, and there is no visible light on the power brick itself (I don't know if there should be any on this model).

Put a meter outside the ring and the central axis, I found on 18.5V, positive pin, which looked good and is stable.  Biting moments and the cable has not changed anything.  It seemed that the power supply was the culprit.

I got it home (where I only switched) and studied the issue for several days, download of HP service documents and discovered that HP had improved their design with a nest, wiring-harness-connected socket which is more shock-resistant and easy to replace.  I told her, and she has ordered a replacement of cylinders harness + listed the number of exact model; I installed it, in the process of learning how to work the little clips on the printed ribbons cables and using a printed diagram from the bottom of the computer to save all the small screws and clips, "with circles and arrows and a paragraph to describe."

As both outlets had pinbacks resin-locked up, it was not possible to test connections.  A new differed from the former only by not having only not four tiny, rectangular holes around the hole of the central axis.  Food is not about to mate with these holes, and it lists a tension, so I wasn't expecting that to matter.  Maybe it was a feature for foreign cersions of the power brick, I thought.

I plugged it in no light, but I left in it for awhile in case only the LED was not connected.  Start the machine (including ahd been unable to boot), fortunately, he started and showed 85% battery!  However, only, which is down with the time - there was no load, or at least no more.  I checked the voltage of the charger to see if it may have been damaged by an internal problem.  I found only 13, 75 - 14.01 volts from the outside of the ring to the central pin (positive)!

Appearing to use a battery to try to light the LED of charging, I watched the cable brick and found that there are THREE sets of contact - the spindle, the outer ring and the ring INSIDE. Others showed:

4.75 - 4, 85 volts from the inside of the ring to pivot (PIN positive)

18.5 - 19 volts from the outside of the ring inside the ring (inside the positive)

Whaa?  The 18.5 was what I expected, but it was between two rings and not between a ring and a PIN.

And at this time, I noticed that from time to time, a blue (or white, I guess you'd call it) a DUCT on the connector turned on briefly, then turned red orange and outside.  Over time, it stayed white wheat longer, up to 8 seconds at a time, without showing any ability to charge the battery.

Reading much more here and besides, I noticed that many others had similar problems involving all parts of four - battery, power brick cable, connector and motherboard.  I noticed the battery test can be found in the pages of support and pulled up to HP Support Assistant to test, but the reliable program planted at startup.  It was a version of 7.something.something, the support site said that later was 12.0, so I downloaded that.  However, I can't understand how to install it on the HP machine after it (on USB) transfer to the Linux machine, and the laptop cannot get Internet at home.

WHAT can I DO to narrow down the problem?  If I know what voltages to which contacts, I can try to charging a battery nicad-multi, that would eliminate all the problems of power supply brick.

The laptop battery carries a lot of numbers, but next to the 'made in china' legend is CQ42 HP-6.  A sticker says 112B213G6LA65D9CJ83, and another with a barcode PRTNHP234BK06312120141.

That's a lot to read, I know, but I want to provide as much information as possible to help the members of the forum with kindness.  Again, the machine turns on, but fell to 18% of autonomy.

    Thank you all in advance!

Thank you, Reo51st - that clears up a lot.  As you probably know, the diagram on the power brick shows the symbol for PIN and ring only (with pin posiitve).

Since I posted this question yesterday, I have since set up a battery of 12 NiCd cells and jerry-rigged a connector with tin foil and a piece of cable insulation, and load worked.  Then I drove on Free geek, our very convenient source of Vancouver (and sink - they take your trash for reuse or recycling) of the old computer bits and $18 me have a new power brick.

I therefore declare this thread SOLVED (by me), even if the info from Reo51st certainly would have made me more confident in the test so I saw him at the time.

  • G62X-400 (ld642av) does not load, power button ribbon cable could be damaged.

Laptop of the friend's daughter had a problem with the cable going to the LCD.  When opening it I noticed a few missing screws of the machine near the back and the middle. I disassembled and made the display cable stressed I guess because the flex of the missing screws and when pressure is applied, the screen would come. I replaced the cable and all right, or so I thought.

Problem is that the tablecloth of the power button seems to be a bit funky as well.  Wouldn't really go back in the connector zif or flip back connector and the small bar on the connector ended detach.  I thought I got it on, it came on, but I didn't know it was apparently no longer take a charge.  Bottom line is that the laptop ran until the exhausted battery.  If the power button is damaged, preventing powering the laptop or charge the battery or something else?

The answer is Yes - when I force the cable using the pressure, it charges the battery and agrees by the charger.  I'll have to get a new power ribbon cable, because he seems to have lost some of the metal contacts on the bottom.

  • Load power not charging my Lenovo flex 15

Hello, so I'm having a problem with my Lenovo charger. It does not load my computer at all! When I plug it in, the battery icon flashes. I tried many other points of sale to check if it was a problem with my grip, but
It is certainly not the case. My sister has the same charger and I tried it on mine and it worked perfectly well, it's not a problem with my battery. I still have the warranty of 1 year on this subject, so I'm able to get a new charger? I need to have one of my own that works! Help, please!

  • Safe to use Thunderbolt to load without activating the display?

I'm trying to reduce the amount of cables on my desk and want to use the Thunderbolt magsafe instead of the standard adapter of my macbook pro. But the screen itself is often not necessary (since the switch to a mac to 15 inches). When the Macbook pro battery power is low, can I use the thunderbolt display magsafe to load my mac, without plug connector real thunderbolt? Thank you!

Depending on the age of your computer, you may need a MagSafe MagSafe 2 converter.

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MD504LL/A/MagSafe-to-MagSafe-2-converter

The display can load a computer that is turned off, the screen requires no Thunderbolt signal while providing load power.  It should act even if the Thunderbolt cable is disconnected.

  • Satellite C660-117 - does not start, does not load

    Hello

I have a laptop Satellite C660-117, and recently I had problems with the power with her. I found that it is capricious, when it comes to the charge, and recently I have if he had sat in one place that I knew would charge like that, she decided to carry the laptop elsewhere and because not able / load power since the battery down dry. I have not tried to reconnect where I had initially (and it is not really appropriate that she be sitting in one place, mainly because it is partially in the way of a desktop system).

I tried various things, taking the battery and the AC adapter on, leaving for awhile, then connect their return and also to get out them, by pressing the power button for 30 seconds and in reconnecting him back, but the problem seems to be between the power adapter and the laptop itself (no power is going to the laptop of the sector). I also tried to use a different power adapter from another laptop, but it did not work either.

I was wondering if there was another option that I could try, or if I'm stuck with having to buy another laptop, as it is waaaaaaaaaaaay out of warranty. I'd rather not go for this option, nor can really afford to send him off for a while to be repaired because of the time it would probably.

    Thanks in advance!

If the laptop can't run with AC power only there is a problem with electronic power supply to the motherboard.
Sorry, but these questions, you need professional help. Problem is that the remedy will be quite expensive.
So perhaps the best solution for you is to sell it on ebay because several pieces of equipment can be used for replacement and buy new laptops.

  • Feedback loops for the algorithm of peak power of solar cell

Hello. I have some experience with Labview but I am struggling with the structures and feedback. I have an instrument that defines a load power voltage and measures. It will be connected to a solar cell that has a peak power (see the trace on the photo). I need a simple program that will make the instrument to oscillate around the point of maximum power. He must set the voltage, power, add a voltage increase, measure power, then add or subtract the voltage according to the question of whether the power has increased or decreased from previous measure. I am attaching a schema. Start V and delta V will be given and fixed. I don't know how to implement with Labview code. Thanks for any help!

If I insert the USB key, it allows to use, but when I connect the mobile to laptop using data cable the mobile isnot responsible... Why? Please help me... I m in prblem... I think that usb 3.0 is not damaged but not chargin... makes me using trouble.please! 11

If the USB 3.0 port sees the other USB devices correctly, we know that the USB port works correctly.

This does not guarantee that load power supply is working properly.

Make sure that the cable is a charging cable.  If this does not work, you may need to contact the Department for further assistance.

  • Problem loading A2109

    Hi all

I bought an A2109 for my GF for Christmas and we have a charging problem.  It takes three days to charge the battery with the supplied wall charger.  The Tablet is not used during this period, it is left to load on its own.  In addition, when it is on the charger provided we do not seem to get the unit to power up to use it even if we wanted to.  Any ideas?

In addition, this eveyrthing else seems to work just great.  Thanks, Bruce

Yes, I would stay, it's the way to slow to load, I mine with load power.

  • iPod classic does not cool

I just bought for my old Mercedes C300 universal media Interface, and it came with iPod Classic.

It's OK then that plugged into the car / wall usb, but it does not cool (it will immediately stop after disconnect), and it cannot load (power lights, flashing screen) where to connect to the computer / macbook.

I thought that I should replace the battery. But I can solve this issue another way?

Chances are that a new battery will be called for. They do not last forever.

I have the following HP Z600 and I want to upgrade to the current Intel Xeon E5520 processor to E5650, E5660 or X 5675 processors. The two basic questions I have are:

    • Is this possible?
    • If so, what exactly should I do?

Implicit in these two questions are:

    • The chipsets on the motherboard will build the latest processors?
    • Current heatsinks for E5520 processors will work or it will be necessary to replace them?

    Bob,

    Correct prefix of these processors is (x 5650, x 5660 and X 5675)

    No no model part
    x 5650 WG731AA
    x 5660 WG732AA
    X 5675 LB215AA

I also mentioned technical information below the means of these prefix.

    Letter prefix:

    X = Performance
    E = Mainstream (editing)
    L = optimized power
W = Workstation for up to 2 processors per motherboard.

The letters also refer to the numbers of power consumption of the processor in question. Note that the numbers associated with the letters are for Xeon "Nehalem"focus on the family and the older Xeons who use letter designations have different values of TDP, associated letters."

L = design power thermal (power draw scheduled with a 100% CPU load running a normal software) of 60 watts or less. These are the chips 'low voltage '.

E = 80 watt TDP. Intel refers to the Xeon 5500/5600 s with this prefix letter as the ' base' line, and thus, the draw of energy to sleep on these chips is often worse than any which of the other series of chips, despite the other chips may have a higher full-load power draw.

X = 95 watt TDP. These are the chips 'premium' as their TDP is not excessive that they are difficult to cool in a server rack, but their standby power consumption is much lower than the E-series chips.

W = TDP of 130 watts or more. What are the fastest Xeons and the hottest made and they are designed to be used in work stations and servers base cooling better than an average rack 1U or 2U server.

  • Made 2.4 car amp 6 s of my iphone battery charger drains?

    Hello world

I bought a car charger Griffin Amp 2.4 (12 watts).

They told me that this charger gets 5v and 12v out inout.

In fact, I can't undrestand the difference between volts, amps and volt.

I just want to know if this charger is draining my battery or it is not so bad?

This is the overview of the charger if it helps.

This low-profile charger works at the catch 12 volts in your car and is optimized to provide fast, safe load levels for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

    • Works in the bycatch of DC 12 volt console or dashboard of your car
    • Includes Lightning removable connector cable for charging and syncing
    • Pull tab to remove easily
    • 12 watts of load power supply: 5 volt 2.4 amp.

    Help, please. Thank you

so more to kill volts a device

amps is however how many amperes a device can get a charger before lowering the tension because it cannot follow

amps is as how fast your car can! car not at how fast she runs when you start

you could load with a 2.4 MegaAmps with no problems

  • I lost two Toshiba programs for my Satellite U300

    Hello

I lost the program that for example, I changed the memory card reader and fan RPM settings.
For example, memory card reader only works when laptop being charged. And you can set the rpm of different fan between the use of the battery and load (power supply).

Now I can not find the program anywhere. I think it was the program of Toshiba but I do not know...

    Thank you!

    Hello

What you are talking about two different establishments, one is a program and the other is an option in Windows. for the memory card reader, there are some programs that vary on the manufacturer of the card reader, if you are not sure, check the name of the program by locating the list of drivers for your model of Satellite U300 on http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp

In what "program" which allows you to change your fan speed (RPM), click on the battery icon in the taskbar (i.e. near the clock in the lower right corner) and select several options of feed, then "Change plan settings" for the current plan that you selected, and then click "change advanced power settings". in the window that opens, you should see TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings. Expand this option (i.e. the cooling method) and to reduce or increase the fan speed select optimized battery or maximum Performance.

That should help you with your question.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite 1900 305 battery, need the pinout numbers

I wonder if anyone knows numbers pinout of the details of the connection of the battery from the battery used with the Satellite 1900 305

Mine has not been used for a few months and the battery is completely flat and is not supported.

I want to check battery volts and check that there volts at the terminals in the computer.

    Hello

Unfortunately, there isn't any info on battery pin out. These documents are available only for the Toshiba ASP.

But the battery charging is controlled by a microprocessor to power supply which is mounted on the system board. Power of orders by microprocessor if the accusation is enabled or disabled and detects a full charge when the power adapter and the battery are connected to the computer. The system charges the battery in charging or trickle charge.
Normal load (power) 8 hours or more
Fast (power off) charge about 4 hours

    Fast battery charge:
When the adapter is attached, there are two types of fast charging: charging when the system's power off and normal load when the system is turned on.

However, if the following occurs, the battery charging process stops.

    1. the battery is fully charged.
    2. the power adaptor or the battery is removed.
    3. the output or battery voltage is abnormal.
    4. the temperature of the battery is abnormal.
    5. battery SMBus communication fails.
    6. the battery cell is bad.

In your case, it is possible to s that the batteries are dead, and you need a new battery.
