Blue screen with GH - Quick Tip WC5351 WebCam

I am running Windows XP SP3 and installed the driver and camera Gear head quick WebCam Advanced WC5351 yesterday. The unit has worked fine until this morning when I tried to use it in conjunction with Skype.

My computer immediately projected blue.

I restarted my computer and tried to pull the top of the camera again to diagnose what it is and my computer blue projected again. I ran a diagnostic system and all my drivers are very well so I tried to uninstall the webcam and it is driver and reinstalling. Immediately after the attempt to open the camera, my computer blue screened again.

I uninstalled the driver and a camera and restored my system to a point before I had ever installed on my computer.

I am very annoyed because this product is labeled as Windows XP compatible on their packaging. I'm doing something wrong?

Hi RebeccaReed,

-What is the current state of the machine?
-What is the error message or error code that you receive with the blue screen?

Look in the event viewer to find out the exact error for that matter.
For more information, see:

Using the event viewer

Procedure to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

In the meantime, try these things:

Try to connect the webcam to another port and check if the problem persists. Also, check with the manufacturer of the webcam to any special requirements to use this device.

Go to your bios to change the mode of training of your s - ata AHCI or IDE Compatible mode or all that apply :) Windows XP is not like SATA, because it has no native support for it. At the start of the second phase of a Setup program, it would fail with this BSOD.

While I was using my laptop I received a message that HP was running some sort of program disagnostic and in the end, he asked if I wanted to repair the problems. I declined the offer. However, the next time I turned on the computer, I saw the first time the HP logo, then the message "automatic repair Preparation". After a few seconds there is a short rectangle that flashes on and disappears. Then I got a blue screen with: your PC encountered a problem and needs to restart. We will restart for you. "Who starts a blue screen and reboot cycle. I have spent to support HP dv7 ENVY page and tried the suggestions of repair without success. Is it possible to go beyond these two error messages and their blue screens to get my system working again? If so, how?

    Hello

Error code 24 characters is a failure of the short test (DST) disk Self and would indicate that hard is defective and must be replaced.  It is also consistent with your description of the problem.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for the disk replaced - if necessary, you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are no longer under warranty, it's a fairly simple procedure to replace the HARD drive yourself - a brief guide on this is below.

Readers on the following links are examples that would be perfect for your laptop.

    Hard drive 500 GB

    750 GB hard drive.

    1 TB laptop hard drive.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 56 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

About reinstalling Windows 10 on new HARD drive, as long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after upgrading to Windows 7/8.1, you can simply create your own Windows 10 installation media and perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I have not a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • Stuck on blue screen with Rainbow clouds, floating section did not help.

    As it is said.

When I run Skype, it just goes straight to a blue screen with blue clouds and a rainbow green at the bottom. I get no login prompt. I followed various guides, such as the change of name login Login1, removal of connection, restart the computer, uninstall and then install Skype (which gets me an error code 2734, I think), uninstalled and installed Internet Explorer. I ran windows update and everything is up-to-date. I also followed the advice in the section floating, and even after using the command line (which was not in the Accessories folder, had to search for cmd to find) and reboot, "press this button" does not work.

Skype worked fine on Sunday, and now it's broken. The only thing I've done in the meantime is run a repair tool for Windows Media Player as a game, I have installed required him to play in the music of the game.

EDIT: I am using Windows 7.

  • Photosmart HP B210a more: HP Photosmart Plus B210a shows a blue screen with error B8145558 and restart.

For two weeks now my HP Photosmart Plus B210a was wrong to behave. Until that time, I was a happy user, but since it says there is an error in the printer and that I should turn it works again.

Putting out voltage is actually not possible using the button, as this will trigger a reboot, ending up on the same screen as before. During the start cycle, I have a brief moment where I can access the regular menu before it shows a blue screen with the B8145558 error code. 2 seconds after it is shown, a white screen appears with the title of printer error and the message to reboot.

So far, I have cleaned the print head and the connections of all dirt and residues. I even managed to start and finish in a copy process, before it gives me the error. However, the error will come, and then it's over.

Someone has encountered this problem before? Currently, I find only 1 reference to this error in Google and not on this site. Any suggestions that I could try?

    Hi @kootstra,

From your description, I suspect there is a problem with the firmware that may be irreparable. We can try a reset, but because the printer will not stay on very long main screen until the error appears that we are not able to access the menu of support, we need to reset.

I'll send you a PM (private Message), but before I do, please see the HP Privacy Statement.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

  • Blocking of blue screen with the analog voltage (WinXP, PCI-6251)

    Hello

I'm looking to solve a problem of blue screen with my measure blocking
application, which I am developing with C++. Blocking seems manifest
a little random after a variable amount (500-50 000) of voltage analog
measures. My application needs to make a huge amount of these digitally
trigger voltage measures after a certain period of time, and I'm using a
    unique
task to do. The task is stopped and started after a single measure
    is
which is done around 10 000 - 100 000 times per second. For this
because I do synchronized with the PCI-6251 map data acquisition and
    one
Ztec oscilloscope card. It seems that the probability of blocking could be
    associated with
the frequency of measurements of voltage that I perform.

    The
the app itself is multithreaded, but I'm blocking concurrent access
    TO
the card with lock - all access to the card are behind a single mutex

lock, so simultaneous access is blocked. In any case, all data acquisition
    access
o the map is initially a single thread, which is dedicated to the acquisition of data
    operations.

I also did stress tests with Ztec scope map, which does not
    result
in all the problems. I also disabled in order of acquisition of Ztec map data
    TO
Make sure that it wasn't the card scope, the origin of the problems - the problem
persistent, so this seems to point towards the direction of the nidaq map.

The deadlock appeared when I used the original supplied with drivers
    the
card. I installed the latest drivers (removed the device from)
    ' Windows
Device Manager and your application Measurement & Automation, reinstalled), but the blue screen still appears.

Blue screen gives me a few debug data, but it does not mention any

files .dll or something that would be of course point to a specific file (driver). I enclose at least partially matching code snippets.

Hello again! I've been in contact with a local support person, who suggested that I have use DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps instead of DAQmx_Val_HWTimedSinglePoint. I don't have any other changes, but this (see below) and the problem disappeared, so this seems to be an acceptable solution, because I don't see at all why not do this way. (Thanks Henry!)

    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming (task_reader, NULL, 100000.0, DAQmx_Val_Rising, DAQmx_Val_HWTimedSinglePoint, 1));
    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming (task_reader, NULL, 100000.0, DAQmx_Val_Rising, DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps, 2));

I don't have a recovery disc for this computer.  I tried to order them, but they seem to not be available.  It is my daughter's computer.  She said she started having problems after you download Frost Wire (music sharing), and then she took.  We tried to go back to a bygone era and that did not help and then the blue screen with error message appeared. What should I do now?

    Hi Yprlvr

It is not possible to download records from the web site, but you can order and they will send you the discs for you.  If you can get another option using F11 to work and get the restored system this way, you can make your own recovery disks (assuming that you have not already done on this PC, what a game can be made by PC).
