Local Access Mode - manual removal via WAN connection

I would like to set up local access to some desktop computers, but want to use the option of manual control (pg 254 of the admin View 4.6 guide) I released the base image which was published on the forwarding server, but when a user try to complete the payment process they get the error "a connection to the forwarding server could not be established. Please check your network settings. They are able to see their jobs right and that it points to the base image they received via other channels of distribution (and not directly from the servers of the view)

My security server firewall is configured to allow the ports on the JMS, JMSIR, AJP13 connection server, http, https and PCoIP but how to configure the forwarding server to adapt to configuration or are there alternatives to opening ports on the server to transfer inside the LAN of business if I want to just use it for access in local mode

Hi Mobcdi,

Option 1 (tunnel) description says "network traffic is routed via the view connection server or a server security if one is configured."

Sequence - 1 is seems more correct, but with slight modifications.

Form SS must be a SSL connection to TS, because all local traffic is routed directly between the SS and TS

Firewall rules of back-end on Page 61 of the www. VMware.com/pdf/view-46-architecture- planning.pdf said

"If you configure the connection to the server display to use SSL for operations in local mode and office supply, security servers using port 443 for downloads and the replication between the local mode desktops and server transfer."

  • Use WAN connected airport Time Capsule as a wireless access point

I had to replace a failed 4 Gen Time Capsule. I tried to install a new Gen 5 airport TimeCapsule via WAN and set up the airport to act as a wireless access point. It is installed in an area of my house with wireless coverage. In the network of AirPort Utility Mode section, I chose "extend a wireless network. The TC is restarted, I get an error message cannot find the intended wireless network.

    What I lack?

"Extend a wireless network" is a parameter that is only used if the time Capsule need to connect to another router from Apple with the help of a Wi-Fi connection.

You use Ethernet to connect, you must use the parameter to "create a wireless network. Use the same wireless network name and the same password as your "primary" router

  • local access only - cannot connect to my wireless router

I can't get my laptop to connect to my wireless router, all I get is local access only, but my laptop with windows 7 connects very well.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

    --------------------------------------------------

I really checked and configured every thing and it doesn't work.

Software firewall application that is not configured to allow local traffic (between the computer and the router is also a possible problem.
some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • local access only: unable to connect to the internet

Recently, my laptop has trouble to connect to my home network. It's a laptop Dell and Windows Vista. This laptop used to connect wirelessly to the network without any problem, but lately, whenever it connects, it is said that "local access" and does not allow me to use the internet. " This problem occurred at the same time I replaced my old router with a new. Another laptop and other devices can still connect to the internet with this new router with no problems, but my laptop stops the message "local access only".

After some research, I discovered that in typing "Cmd" in the search bar after clicking the start menu, run this program as an administrator, type "netsh int ip reset" in the command prompt, then by restarting my computer would fix my problem and my laptop would work very well and connect to the network and to the internet with no problems. However, as soon as my laptop is entered 'sleep' mode or has been disabled, when it was turned on again the problem persists and I have to follow the process of using the command prompt and restart the computer every time I turned on my laptop.

As you can imagine, this process can be quite annoying and I would like to find a more permanent solution to my problem, especially since the past several times, I tried this workaround, it failed, so my laptop is once more without internet access. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated I am completely puzzled. Thanks for any help.

    Hello

    Method 1
I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article: back up the registry in Windows Vista

    Method 2
In addition, you can disable IPv6 to see if that nor does not affect the wireless adapter.

    To disable IPv6:
    (a) go to start, right click on the network, and then click Properties.
    (b) network and sharing window will appear, then click on manage network connections.
    (c) network connections window will appear. Here you can right click on the network adapter that you want to disable IPv6, then click Properties.
    (d) in the local area network connection properties window, clear the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) check box, and then click OK.

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    4 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
    5. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
    6. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
    7. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
    8. right click on DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
    9. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
    10. close the registry editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the wireless card.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

  • "Access: Local only" problem and an unidentified router connection.

I use a laptop Compaq Presario CQ60 with Windows Vista Home Basic.

The laptop connects to the router (a Belkin.43A1) However, it is unable to correctly identify the router and does not connect to the internet. Offer me only a "Local" access only

My brother has the same exact model of the laptop and windows vista edition, with all settings completely unchanged but suffers still from the same connection problem.

All other devices in the House are able to connect to the internet through the router, such as ipods and game consoles. Another laptop running Windows XP is able to connect without a problem.

Connecting the laptop to the internet works when connected via an ethernet cable.

I tried several solutions offered on the internet without any positive results, such as:

    -Disable IPv6

-Computers wireless card uninstalled, then put it back

    -Uncheck the link layer topology

    -Restart the router/mobile

-Check and install all updates for windows and HP

And several others, all parameters have returned to what they once were.

Help and suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated thanks.

  • Local access only after the Network Systems Security 2009 malware removed

I'll try to put all the details that I can here, but my laptop that has the problem cannot connect to the Internet so I won't be able to copy paste n info. Last week, I was struck with the 2009 malware security systems. It was a pain to remove because it stopped all the work programmes and I could not install malware removal software. Finally beat him by renaming the main program folder 2009 for the security of the systems. That he has stopped working when I restarted the laptop and then I was able to install the malware removal software and took remoped.

Here is the problem. Now that he is gone my network connections wireless and wired no longer work. I get local access only on an unidentified network. I have Windows vista Home premium and use internet with a modem model Cableone cable Motorola Surfboard SB5101.

Then I called a cable tech support first and they could not help and after all the service works very well on my desktop the same modem and connection. So I called Motorola tech support and they had me do a lot of things for hours (including reinstalling the drivers for the modem) on the phone without effect. Finally, they suggested that I have re-download all ACER Aspirion z9410z drivers and reinstall them. So I did it. Copied to a flash of my desktop drive and reinstalled them. No luck.

The respectable and sharing Centre, explains that the modem works correctly when you look at the status. But the auto for windows diagnostic tool says to check the IP settings automatically and reset the network card. The two fail to trouble when ran. Here are all the parameters of the network connection.

    Physical address: 00-1A - 66 - AA - 64cB
    Active Yes DHCP
    Autoconfiguration IPV4 address 169.254.195.250
    IPv4 mask subnet 255.255.0.0

    Servers of DNS IPv6 fec0:0:0:ffff:1 1%
    FEC0:0:0:FFFF:2 1%
    FEC0:0:0:FFFF:3 1%

IPv4 and 6 are defined automatically detect the IP address and the DNS.

Hope that gives enough information. There no mater if I use eithernet and USB to connect or wireless. I have the same problems.

Another thing that can be part of the problem.

It started after removing the systems security 2009 malware as well.

When loggin, turned off the laptop, a blue error screen appears. Here are the details generated for it. I'm working on the research of which the question is to be set by the online search.

    Event name BlueScreen
    OS version 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
    local ID 1033

    BCP4 82028768
    OS version 6_0_6000
    Service Pack 0_0

I hope I will get this fix as well.

Any help will be greatly apprieciated. If more information is required only, let me know and I'll get it.

    Hello Oxilas,

I suggest that you use a friend/co-worker Vista DVD and do a repair installation.

    Repair facility:

You can reinstall your copy of Vista while keeping your files, settings and programs by performing a repair install or an upgrade on the spot with the following steps: (Note: this still does not resolve all problems, especially if the corruption was caused by a 3rd party program or service, you may need to do a clean install) (if this is not successful.)

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

Please make sure that you back up all the important data before you continue. Please visit: methods for your backup files.

Always make sure that you have the means to reinstall your programs, or by an installation disc or access to the installation files.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

    1. Insert the Windows installation disc in your computer's DVD or CD drive. You must start Windows installation while running your existing version of Windows.

    2. on the Install Windows page, click install now.

    3. on the get updates for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You will need an Internet connection to get the installation updates.

    4. on the Type your product key for activation , we strongly recommend that you type your 25-character product key in order to avoid problems during activation.

    5. on the page Please read the terms of the license , if you accept the license terms, click I accept the terms of the license.

    6. to the which type of installation you want? page, click upgrade to begin the upgrade. You can see a compatibility report.

    7 follow the instructions.

Note: If your installation disc doesn't include SP1, and you are updated, then you must uninstall it before proceeding with an update install. Start-> Control Panel-> programs-> see installed updates, then select Service Pack for Microsoft Windows and click on Uninstall.

Note: Tit the following settings is reset by default:

    Its computer system

    Device drivers

    Visual effects

    Windows Mail

    Windows services

If you notice missing files after the upgrade, look in the following folders:

    C:\Windows.old

    C:\$INPLACE.~TR

    C:\$WINDOWS.~Q

These files can be eliminated with disk cleanup as "records destroyed by upgrade to Windows".

  • GANYMEDE + and local access connection

Basic summary is that I want to have GANYMEDE + and local connection to access router on the vty lines.  So, I did the two groups below.  Goody obviously is what will use GANYMEDE and Console uses the local connections.  I divide them between 0-4 and 5-15.  It seems that whoever is more get first priority for authentication.  If I move the Console to 0-4, knit then the local users and GANYMEDE do not.   If I have Goody at 0-4, then GANYMEDE works, but local doesn't work.  I know I'm missing something simple.  Have two RADIUS servers, I doubt that the two will never back down, but in case I want user names Local to work.   If I apply an access list to 4-0 and use SSH, as well as a list of different access to 5 15 and use telnet, it seems to work that way but doesn't help me if the internet goes down and I am trying to access the router via SSH on-site.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi David -.

Correct me if I'm not understanding this correctly, but you want to use RADIUS servers for authentication ssh/console type and if they fail, you want the network device to use its local database.

If that is correct you should not need dividing lines and assign authentication lists. The first tribute that you have:

AAA authentication login Goody group Ganymede + local

Lists the Ganymede + and the local database as a possible authentication methods. They will be processed in the order they are configured so that the device will be:

    1. use your servers GANYMEDE +.

    2. If the GANYMEDE servers + inaccessible then the local database is used

You can test this by assigning 'Goody' to all your vty lines and then do your servers GANYMEDE + unavailable. To do as possible you can:

    -Restart the server

    -Stop the server interface

-Disconnect the device its uplink network

-Create a list of access on the uplink interface and connection block to the IP addresses of the servers GANYMEDE +.

    I hope that helps!

  • When I try to connect with my wireless laptop will connect only to Local access. If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.

    VIsta - Local access only

    HI -.
I recently moved.   I use the same router from my old apartment and I had no problem connection in the past.   Since I moved I have a new Time Warner modem (Cisco) and the modem works fine.

The router also works very well I'm able to connect with my iPhone and IPad without any problem.

But when I try to connect with my wireless laptop, it will only connect to Local access.    If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.

    It's a Dell Studio 15 with Vista.

The computer is able to connect to wifi to other places without any problem, but for some reason that I can't connect home.   I tried to reset the modem and the router several times, but that did not help.   I tried the option repair & diagnose several times but it doesn't work.

I tried to look for other solutions online and tried to disable IPv6, and while it helped some and I was able to connect wireless, the computer ran so slowly that it didn't seem like a good solution.

This has been very frustrating.   Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

    Hello Staciusa,

Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:

Take a look at step 6 in this article that give more details about it:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/athome/Setup/wirelesstips.aspx

If you need assistance to change the settings of the specific router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.

  • How to set up a local administrator account with elevated privileges, but without the rights of local access connection

I want workstation installation a Windows 7 where regular users only have power user rights, because I do not want that they either accidentally change important settings or for malicious to be processes able to run Web sites. However that these will be remote users there maybe times when they need a local administrator account to allow them to perform installation, correction or updating. So, I created a local user account, added to the Administrators group and used the Panel of local security policy and the account added to the list "Deny log on locally '.

It works by refusing the admin account to connect directly. However when I log in under the power user account and run something that requires elevated privileges the admin account is refused to carry out the process.

What is the combination of security settings can I refuse a desktop session Admin account but allows it to be used for processes requiring elevated privileges?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
This is quite normal. When you refuse the privileges of local access connection, local users can not use the administrator account information because it is be the local login. So, it is better to create a domain and restrict the use of administrative operations to the administrator.
