Local network connection / network cable disconnected

I had an internet connection on my desktop and now I don't have. I have two other desktop computers that work without any problem and are connected correctly. All the workstations are connected with a Belkin Wireless G Router (F5D7230-4) by ethernet Cat 5 cables. When I go into network connections it says, the connection to the LAN is activated / network cable Unplugged, protected by a firewall. Device Status - This device is working properly. Network card: Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC. The cable is connected, the lights are on on the port to connect to the back of the PC, the light is on and solid (not flashing) on the router where the cable is attached. I can take this cable and plug it into another PC and it works perfectly, but when I take an other cables and put the PC problem - nothing!

I ran Malware, Ad-Aware, washing windows and AVG anti-virus 9 with no detection.

However, Bishop says peripheral device works correctly. Don't save: no update-unable to connect to the internet.  I uninstalled and reinstalled; rebboted, etc. - still nothing. It has a problem with the PCI connection - no driver, but I don't see anywhere to down load or know what to download. Oh and another adapter on - think 1394 - when I turn that on and off the wonder; It shows the signal for the 1394---400 and does not say his unplugged, but still can not connect to internet.

I'm not sure of what continues.

The 1st computer was working fine - then picked it up to move it to where it belonged to my office and that's when he went out-made no sense to me!

Because you seem comfortable opening your computer, have you tried re - a corner of the map (with power off, remove the card and reinsert it into the slot, be sure to exercise static precautions if you are in an environment of low-hu7midity).  If there is an empty slot, you can also move the map Marvell to another location.  See the comments below.

It's a long shot, because even if you did not provide the complete ipconfig output, the data that you have provided appeared to be normal, but...

Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
Right-click on the icon for your network adapter, and then select Properties
You should see a screen like this--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Connections/Local_Area_Connection/Properties/General/Index.shtml

In the second box, what are the items are listed under "this connection uses the following items"?

The only other thing I can think is that the Marvell Ethernet card was damaged in the same storm that got your original modem/router.

    *******************************************

According to Gateway, the GT5432 has 4 card slots:
    A PCI Express x 16 (GUI)
    A PCI Express x 1
    Two PCI Conventional

Your motherboard should look like this:

Orange, top, connector is the PCI Express x 16.  You probably have a video card in this slot.

The short white connector is the PCI Express x 1 connector.

Two more long white connectors are the standard PCI slots.

If I understand your installation, you should have the Marvell Yukon map into the slots of two down and your Agere modem on the other.  As long as you have the SMC1244TX PCI card, why don't just remove you the Agere modem or the card Marvell and insert the card CMS in one of the two PCI slots?  You are not using the modem and the working hypothesis is that the Marvell card does not work, so there is not much to gain by leaving a card in your computer.

Download the user guide and drivers for the SMC here--> http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?event=viewProduct&localeCode=EN_TUR&cid=9&scid=51&pid=238 map

Moreover, assuming that your open slot is the short PCI Express x 1 slot, you can buy another Ethernet card that will work in this niche: see--> http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100010064%20600016290&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=100

If I were you, I blow up the cheaper models and get the Intel EXPI9301CT $ 36 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps PCI Express Desktop Adapter Gigabit CT.  Note that this is the same card with a similar name (with close to 400 customers) which sells for $29,94.  The price difference is because the cheaper "BLK" letters in the description, which means that it is "sold in bulk" and has no drivers, user guide CD or anything else in the box.  There are several negative comments from people who do not understand this difference and then had trouble finding the driver for the card on the Internet.

  • Unplugged - Ethernet cable disconnected

    Hello

I have the new Mac Mini (end of 2014) running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 version.

I was able to connect to the internet properly using the wired connection. However, after the last reboot I did, I can connect is more and where to open system-> network preferences I see Ethernet connected not-> cable disconnected.

The problem is that the cable is connected, and the network is working properly for other devices. I tried to use another network cable and switch to another port in the router, but does not (the same ports and same cables work well for other devices).

    The WiFi worked very well.

Any thoughts on how to fix this annoying problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Reading between the lines a bit here, it is my understanding...

    1. Never use Ethernet, probably because you don't have broadband for some reason any?
    2. Due to the size of the download, you asked someone else to do it with no broadband?
    3. As a result, which is two screens with a red X icon, but never used to be there?

This icon with the red X is only informative. If you do not use Ethernet then you won't have connected cable, which means that the information you see on "network cable is unplugged" is correct. If you don't like this icon, you can hide...

    • Right-click on an empty part of the taskbar, and then click Properties
    • Click the Notification area
    • You will see a check box for the network, there uncheck and then click OK to hide the icon
    • Reverse this process, if you want to display the icon

Or is your problem you can connect is no longer with dial upward? If this is the case...

    • Click Start, type inetcpl.cpl and press enter
    • Click the Connections tab
    • 'Never make a connection' values? If this is the case, always select "default connection" (or "Number using whenever a network connection is not present")
    • Click OK

    Hello

Follow this procedure to ensure that the network the laptop is on and configured correctly.

Check the Device Manager for the entry of valid card of the wire.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Connect you to the menu of the router from a work computer and make sure DHCP is on, and it is configured to assign IPs which can cover the number of computers that are connected (a bit more will be even better).

Turn off the computer and the router, reset the router and the computer.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

  • How can I disconnect from the internet but to maintain my connection to the local network in Windows 7?

I need to disconnect internet to my PC Windows 7 while maintaining my LAN network. Can anyone help?

    Hello

If you want to disconnect Internet on the Windows 7 computer, then you can follow the steps mentioned below. These steps would help you to disconnect from the wired connection, while the connection is still active.

    (a) click Start.

    (b) type network and sharing Center in the start search bar and press ENTER.

    (c) in the left pane, click on change adapter settings

    (d) it would be to open a window with the connection to the wired LAN.

    (e) now, right click on the wired LAN connection icon and select Disable. (Provide the password if necessary).

    (f) it would disconnect the computer from Windows 7 to connect to the local network.

  • internet disconnection but to maintain the local network connections

How disconnect (and subsequently reconnect) the internet connection of a computer in the network when you are keeping this computer completely connected to the local network.  I can't find a way to do it with a few simple clicks.  This is easily achievable with Network Magic, even the point of having a particular computer available in the annex "over and out" for internet and 100% available for the local network.  The problem is that Network Magic is no longer available.

    Solutions appreciated.

    Jayant,

  • HP LJ CP5525 won't boot if the network cable is connected.

Hello everyone, I have a client who brought me a CP5525 for repair with an unusual problem.  The machine will not get past the initialization stage if the network cable is connected.  If the network cable is removed, the machine comes to ready.  Initially, I suspected a trainer Board bad, but instead, I get the same problem.  With the network cable is connected, the machine will not get past the initialization stage.  I know I'm the cable is good I can plug another printer in there and it works fine.  The trainer has a green light on the port of the network adapter when the cable is connected, the led "smiley face" is on the balance and the "heartbeat" light flashes twice and pauses, then blinks twice again and continues to do so, that everything seems normal.  In addition, while the machine is still being initialized, I can press the test button on the print engine and it prints a test page to the normal search.  I don't know if I should just let the machine only and see if it boots never completely, but no idea how long I have to wait, I left longer than 10 minutes and it is not always initialize.  If I unplug the network cable and allow the machine to go ready I can print a log of events and it shows no errors.  Of course, it is used as a network printer, so there need to be ready with a NETWORK cable.  At this point I have no idea what my next step should be to help or ideas would be appreciated.

I left the nic cable disconnected and allowed the printer to come ready.  Then, I plugged the network cable and tried to install the printer on my network local test.  I ping the printer and he answers, I can't install the printer normally, but it does not print a test page.  When he goes to print the test page the printer winds up as if she warms to print, but then rolls down.  Meanwhile, the port of the network card on the machine poster in green and yellow flashing as if it receives information of the network, but there is no change on the screen and the led lights on the front panel show no change.  Finally, the print job expires and shows that printing does not.  If I try to print from microsoft word or notepad saying, I get the same symptoms.  This happens with the new Council of trainer and the original one.

Here in the building, we have an another CP5525 installed as a network printer that works very well, I went and printed its configuration and settings page and compared to the printer, I'm working on and they are identical, with the exception of IP addresses of course.  At this point, I have the printer pushed to the side until I can get some ideas of what we must look at the next and I worked on other printers and used this same nic cable to test these machines and they print very well so I know that the problem is related to this printer.  I just need some ideas of what we seek to the next.  I removed the back cover and looked for loose cables and so on.  These machines are newer than most of the equipment that I service so I don't have any spare part for them so I can't start just you order parts at random just to Exchange and see what happens, so if anyone has an idea, I would be very grateful.  The machine is out of warranty at this stage.  Apparently, he was never installed and was sitting on the shelf for the past two years and tried to install it a few weeks ago.

Two points here. First you move the hard drive to the new trainers, so if the hard drive is the problem you can not say. You have to 'borrow' a hard drive to an another base printer if you have another of the same model. Second by assigning the same network address of the printer if there is a problem with the print server on the base or the driver you are using is bad no way to tell. As I said in my post, you need to isolate your network printer and need to load on a virgin machine where you use any driver laser jet color printer that is built into the operating system, such as the printer color laserjet 5500. My gut tells me the problem is with the network and using the crossover cable confirm this. The fact that the printer is ready and you can print without the cable connected network tells me this. Thing that you can do with the printer NOT connected to the network, ping the ip address. It is possible that some other piece of equipment on the network took somehow this ip address and causes all sorts of havoc with your problem.  Now regarding the update of the firmware.  I'm sure that you have a computer at home that does not restrict the usb port.  Just take a USB key to your computer at home and put a picture of the ORL file on the USB at home and bring to the office and just that insert the drive into the USB printers and turn on the printer and it should ask if you want to load the updated file.  Either way, which base?  I'm retired U.S. Army more than 20 years ago.

Driver: Intel (r) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection

    Wireless connection works fune.

    Hello

First of all, you should check your LAN cable.
Sometimes the laptop may not be correctly connected to the LAN as a result of a defective cable.
In addition, you should check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager. He should t be a yellow exclamation!
In addition, you must check the settings for the TCP/IP protocol in the LAN card properties.
TCP/IP must be set to automatic. I assume that you are connected to a server and the server supports supported a range of IP addresses and assigns it automatically.

Last but not least check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS.

    Welcome them
