Satellite A105-4114 will not recognize the connection to the local network

Whenever I plug my cable ethernet to ethernet port on my laptop, the ethernet port does not recognize my cable, even if the lights are flashing. I updated my LAN driver a week ago, and it has not really helped. My internet service is provided by my apartment complex at the school, but I don't think it has anything to do with it, because I had this problem last year living in dorms and at home. I have to restart my computer everytime for my computer to recognize the connection to the local network. Can someone help me please?

First of all, you should check your LAN cable.
Sometimes the laptop may not be correctly connected to the LAN as a result of a defective cable.
In addition, you should check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager. He should t be a yellow exclamation!
In addition, you must check the settings for the TCP/IP protocol in the LAN card properties.
TCP/IP must be set to automatic. I assume that you are connected to a server and the server supports supported a range of IP addresses and assigns it automatically.

    I have a Satellite A300-1J1, and had to do a complete reinstall of Windows using my recovery disk that was provided with the laptop (Vista Home Premium).

    I know it may seem stupid now, but your story is somewhat strange. Why?
    To the first Satellite A300 laptop computers are never shipped with recovery DVDs. Recovery DVDs must be created by the owner of the laptop. All A300 laptop come with what is called HARD disk image. AFAIK some A300 laptop computers come with an additional CD/DVD but it is recovery of Windows XP Home or Vista 64-bit edition, but laptop always comes with Vista Home Premium 32 - bit (recovery of HARD drive image).

    So the question is what installation media you are using exactly? Is - this support recovery, that you created yourself or a version of Microsoft?
    Original Toshiba recovery image is created for each laptop model separately and should not be enabled.

    Windows 7 will not recognize the dvd drive, although it worked well for more than two years.  Now I can't access it to install new software.

    It will not be displayed in the Device Manager, bad shooters to say it is not connected or is, tried Fixit fix (could not as "not applicable to your computer update"), uninstall iTunes (in the case of a conflict - even if it worked with the DVD of > 1 year), etc., but still cannot access the DVD.

    Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
    Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

    Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
    the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

    Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
    correct registry entries for your car.

    as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    To my knowledge, the A110-294 uses the Atheros WLan card and therefore the Atheros Wlan dirver should be the right one.

    Try the following.

    Judgment of the laptop and unplug the 2nd HARD drive.

    When this is finished, stop the laptop.

    Reconnect the 2nd HARD drive, then start Notepad and let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking if the reader appears in the lower part of the disk management window.

    Right then, I had some problems with my Fuze MP3 player. When I download the new music on the device, the ID3 tags all come out the way they are supposed to. However, if I remove the music that is on the drive and replace it with the same tracks with ID3s update, it will not recognize the change of title, album, or artist, if the song file will be updated. I know because I had problems with the songs with the same name or accidentally given songs the name of another song, which resulted in incorrectly labeled music.

    I tried to format the drive, I tried to remove the music manually in the file system, I tried to change the USB mode and delete the file that I said holds the ID3 data, and I tried all the possible permutations of disconnection and let the Player recognizes the changes. This includes the removal of all the music in the player, disconnection of the latter, confirming that there is no music on the system, to change the USB mode, deleting the file with the ID3 information, turning the rear USB mode, reconnect, put my music on the device, and the problems have not been resolved.

    It is likely, it is just to be fickety, and there is something I'm don't is not right, but it's the second "rocket" I've owned - I love the model and went up to return a Fuze + in favour of the former model - and one has never had this problem. I'm willing to try anything within reason to solve the problem, so I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    In fact, the problem was not as expected at all. I think it turns the problem is Windows Media Player, which I only use to sync my music on my MP3 player, had a library with outdated information. So after the Player update multimedia, I refreshed my library recordings and everything worked as you wish. I just to make sure that if I make changes to existing songs in my library.

    Ran the Scan, the system is secure.

    I was able to bypass stubborn files to transfer them to a flash drive and copy them to another folder.  I was then able to access.  Somehow I messed up the permissions in the previous transfers of old machines and OS.
