  What do you use to monitor audio and is there a technique for this? I've heard say that some editors like to listen to their work on a few different devices/systems. Is it true and it follow you?

  The quality of the follow-up that an editor needs depends on if they make the final audio sweetening or audio post-production going. All my final Mix I do myself and I have a configuration high quality 5.1 properly aligned. Most of my Mix find you on Bluray or dvd and I also check the final product on national television, this is a good test for the intelligibility of dialogue. If someone else does post-production audio everything you really need to hear is the dialogue so good semi pro speakers should be ok, I avoid computer speakers would not be expensive.   You should be able to listen to audio through headphones.

  You try to control your own audio? If so, you may need a second computer/device, but you can also open a second instance of the meeting room on the Mac and you will hear your audio through the second instance. I would just make sure that you have all the audio options in the first room muted for you, that you hear an echo on all the other audio that it reads in both chambers.

• ANY way to monitor audio files on a 70 d when shooting video?

  I know there is a meter if you go to the menu, but I want to follow live with headphones on what comes out, not what is happening.  I can monitor the entry but want to make sure that the output is not saturated.  Any advice would be wonderful.  I tried to connect the A / V cable of the camera and audio surveillance there during the filming, but it does not work.  I know that the HDMI audio is muted during recording, as well.  This isn't a minor issue for those of us who want to ensure that we have sound quality, I use a mixer and multiple sources during the shooting.

• Headset Bluetooth paired but not audio heard

  I have a model of Creative SL3100 bluetooth headset which I paired with my PC under Windows 7 64-bit. I use a small and cheap made in China USB bluetooth dongle that can be bought for a few dollars.

  After successfully coupled with Windows 7, the helmet appears as a detected bluetooth device. When I checked my--> Device Manager Control Panel, I could see:
  PC - user-->--> Generic Bluetooth Radio Bluetooth Radios
  --> Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator
  Then, I opened the Panel--> equipment and sound--> Sound--> manage audio devices, I could see "Bluetooth Audio Renderer" appears as one of the options under the playback tab. So I clicked on it and set it as the default device.  When I play an mp3 track, I could see that the sound level next to the "Bluetooth Audio Renderer" bar up and down, which indicates that it indeed works. But somehow, I don't hear any audio through my headphones.
  I'm sure that the helmet works well because it transmits audio perfectly when I pair with devices such as my mobile phone. So, what was wrong along the way?  Is there a driver I need to download and install to solve this problem? Thank you.

• How do I audition separate audio tracks in the source monitor Panel?

  I don't see anything about this in the help doc.

  I want to hear all four tracks independently of a P2 card, but when I insert an element in the Source monitor, it seems that I hear only a track, or maybe I heard all four.  Honestly, I don't know what I'm listening.

  You listen to one; Premiere Pro is screwed in that regard. Audio monitoring in the Source monitor Panel is limited to one track at a time, either EQ or stereo.

  Switch to the Audio waveform display and then click the track selector. It is default to channel 1.

• It is possible to activate the two sound devices simultaneously?

  Have windows 7 64 bit with two separate devices.  One is a set of speakers that are connected directly to the audio port of the PC.   Second device is Sony S - Air USB that transmits audio through 2.4 ghz for remote speakers.   Each device works very well when it is on the default device, but I can't seem to turn on both devices at the same time.  Hold both enabled and have sound from speakers for computers and as well remotely.   Is this possible?

  Quite simply... # Unfortunately it is not that simple, you must run a subgroup on an outboard mixer or similar output style sound card like the M-Audio Delta 44 66 to do this.  An audio source from your computer into a blender & out 2 different sources (speakers).  You can buy cheap like the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer but your wireless USB will be useless in this case & you will need to find or make a digital decoder of jack Plumb desired 1/4.  If you need more explanation I can try to help.

  With the option of the sound card, you will need software of recording and mixing for 'send' or 'directing' the release of the pair desired output on the sound card.

  If anyone has a way to do this without using outboard or - style software/card its mix recording gear, I of course want to know.

• SG300 layer 3 to route through MetroE

  I have a project, HQ I work which requires routing on a circuit of MetroE to link some sites back to HQ. Even though I know that this can be accomplished in several ways, I came up with a solution which I think will work, but as you all input as to whether it is sufficient and if my thoughts on how to "organize" the network properly are fair.

  I have collaborated with the SG300 line in Layer 3 mode and have any problems in a test configuration, I have here in the office. Basically, my thought is to have a single VLAN / subnet allocated for each physical site. Who will be responsible for basic connectivity between etc. I also have a need to prioritize traffic voice and video across the network. My plan was to create a VLAN / subnet extra to host teleconference equipment. That's pretty much the jist of the installation. My only question is to know how to properly prioritize the local VIRTUAL audio/video/network. Once I enter the political field of mapping of the switches that options are starting to get rare and I'm not sure if I have the ganularity I need. I am also curious to know if there is a way more 'easy' or 'better' to accomplish what I need.

  I am currently working on a VMware View Horizon project and the cap of the great exhibition is Microsoft Lync 2013. I had the matching between the vdi Lync plugin and the Lync client in the virtual office to work. During the process of matching the right icon indicates the attempt of local loading audio or video devices. When I connect a USB headset it detects and when I perform a test call, I hear only noise and not a good tone. Can I use only Lync support audio or video devices or it can be any USB device? • Some flash videos show not except as an administrator

  Flash to work properly. Now, some flash videos work very well and some don't appear at all. If I go to login admin or IE running as an administrator, then it works on all sites.

  In fact, I found a solution to this shortly after I posted.  The first symptom, what we saw was that png files are not correctly displayed in IE7.  For example, google on google.com image is a png and he would simply have an image place holder.  Upgrade to IE8 fixed this problem, and only after IE8 that we noticed the program Flash.  Anyway, long story short, start Microsoft FixIt 50198 - security for Windows/IE7/IE8 Editor

  Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open display devices - note equipment listed here i.e. ATI, NVidia or Intel.

  Then connect your laptop via HDMI to your TV.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices.  Click once on the left (just to point out the entrance), the HDMI output that has the same name as your graphics card, and then click the set as default button, see if you now audio through the HDMI connection.

• Server 2K 8 Remote Desktop no despite its "don't bring to the local computer" active, impossible to find sounds and Audio devices?

  I'm running Vista 64 to connect to a remote computer that has Windows Server 2008. When the remote desktop connection via, under the options for sound local computer that I "Make to this computer" activated. However I still get all the sounds, and the volume in the lower right corner icon has a red x on it. Under the heading reading devices, it says "no audio device is installed". In Device Manager, I don't see anything for sound and audio devices.

  I found an article that mentioned the sounds and Audio devices in Control Panel, however I have only 'His' option - which opens the same as right click on the volume with mute icon and choosing of reading devices. I don't see anything on the RDP Audio Driver settings.

  These error messages are a pain in the neck to extract useful information.

  I suggest that you do a search online 'pilot audio free downloads' and find another audio program for your PC.

  If you find something that works for your satisfaction - remove your original pain in neck audio software and make sure you make your audio program newly found the 'default' device.

  Realtek and NVIDIA, for example get stuff good free audio driver.

  If the new program does not work - it would be a good indication that you have hardware on your PC, drive problems and no amount of play more with to try to correct the audio software will help. Period
